Traveling with a new dog who was experiencing GI upset & not getting better, I was able to get an…read moreimmediate appointment for the following day - - Saturday when many practices are closed. Dr Ireland saw Zuni, took some labs & came back with a reasonable diagnosis. She eliminated Giardia & bacteria issues & started her on Metronidazole, probiotics & an ID diet. After a few days of this protocol, Zuni is doing much better. Dr Ireland was very instructive, patient, and thorough. I will follow up with my vet when I reach my home, but appreciate Dr Ireland immensely with her diagnosis & help. I would recommend this practice, as staff & vet were kind & professional. Practice was extremely clean & organized.

This clinic is also the only time I've ever seen one of my cats in deep distress. They were trying to administer an injection, and my cat was screaming and crying like I've never heard before. They wrapped him in a blanket, and I left feeling like I was being blamed for his discomfort. Since then, I have taken my cats to Noah's Ark in Rapid City, where they treat your pets like family. Both of my cats have fully recovered from their gingivitis without any extractions, and my cat has never reacted like that at another veterinary clinic. I'm also a college student, and when I asked about financing options, I did not feel like my concerns were well received. Noah's Ark helped us get set up with CareCredit. My experience left me feeling like this clinic was more focused on recommending expensive treatment than exploring less invasive options. Please take your pets somewhere else so they can get the care they deserve. If your pet is recommended for extensive dental work, I strongly encourage getting a second opinion before making a decision.

Greg is an all-star dog trainer! I was having issues with my 5-month old puppy after taking her…read morehome from the shelter. She was beginning to start her "adolescent" years soon and it really showed. She went from being a cute puppy who napped all day to a dog who bit everything, became passively disobedient, and didn't know how to utilize her new found energy. I didn't know what to do so I began looking up dog trainers in my area. Enter Greg. I spoke to him on the phone and he addressed all my concerns. He was very understanding and explained how all these tendencies were natural puppy behaviors. I was a bit hesitant to use his service at first but he offered to come to my house for a consultation. When he came, I saw how well he was able to communicate with Snickers and how much passion he had for dog training. He was very accommodating and offered to take her for board and train right away. Throughout the week, he provided me updates via photos and training videos. I saw how happy Snickers was with him and how much she progressed over the days. He was also very responsive when I asked him questions about her training. After her training was complete, I could hardly recognize her anymore cause she was so well behaved! I would highly recommend Greg if you are looking for a dog trainer who loves dogs as much as you do!

Me and my dog Brook met Greg for the first time at an evaluation. He explained the overall gist…read moreabout dog training, showed how obedience and play go together, and the Brook's good potential outcome. Brook liked him a lot! He wanted to go with him and be trained by him since day one. I was a bit amazed because Brook is usually a shy dog who takes time to meet new people and new dogs. Needless to say, I hired Greg for the series of the dog training right away. Week 1: Learned basic skills like "come," "heel," "wait," "leave it," etc. Greg also explained me a lot about the dog training overall and went over double the set time but didn't charge anything extra. He really goes far for you. Week 2: Learned more basic skills + trained longer durations to hold "stay"/"wait." Brook started showing a different attitude. His focus became so much better. Doing homework with Brook got easier. Week 3: Continued to work on the commands and focus. We also discussed how treat-driven training will have to eventually go away. Week 4: We set a goal, which is to pass the Canine Good Citizen test and worked on the list towards that goal. Each session went beyond the set time (Thank you, Greg, for your patience!), and I felt like the value we received was more than I paid for! Brook likes Greg a lot and looks forward to seeing him every time. The weekly training will go on for several more sessions. I'm also thinking of asking him to come around once in awhile after the weekly sessions so we can keep the standard for Brook. I appreciate his passion and generosity for being willing to get something done, no matter how long it takes. He is very patient working in any situation. It's really hard to find a dog trainer like him. Greg is the best!
