*Best* Turkish restaurant in the USA. (I have been to Turkey 3 times) I have been to this restaurant dozens of times. The crowd is Turkish and Kurdish as far as the eye can see. Food is very authentic, huge portions, they do not skimp on meat and veg and they do not put cheap filler on your plate ...the ground meat kofte is 100% meat and does not have breadcrumbs and other crap in there. I come here with my Turkish friend. The bread is made in house and slaps so hard, I always take every bit of leftover bread home. This bread (and their lahmacun, and their kebab and their soups and their adana and their breakfast, everything is good) would even pass muster in a Turkish restaurant in Turkey. (IYKYK). Sadly, they do not let you purchase bread for takeout, so you will just have to ask for a lot of bread when you dine in and take it all home with you. read more

The Gyro has no lamb . It is dry cuts of meat with noooooo sauce accompanying it. They really shouldn't use the word Gyro. It is what it is but it is not a Gyro. They are really sweet and the service was good but I honestly wasted $20. read more

On the Grill does't look like much from the outside but it was surprisingly good. It is located in a nondescript and quiet strip mall off of route 130. My Chicken Giro platter was excellent and so was their Lentil soup. Service was extremely friendly. The interior has a nice and simple Turkish vibe and was clean and pleasant. Prices were reasonable. I absolutely love on the grill!!! Definitely my favorite restaurant for Turkish cuisine on the East Coast. They make the most amazing fresh baked Pide and lahmajun!!! The gyro and kebab is very authentic and full of flavor. My favorite thing about this restaurant is the events with live music that take place. Honestly, I don't know why I keep coming back here. Probably because they have such great service. The pide is absolutely delicious, but incredibly expensive for what it is. The mixed grill is usually a miss. The meats are gamey and usually undercooked. The chicken, which is seasoned better, is also, believe it or not, also usually undercooked. Excellent food, occasional live music nights, very friendly and fast service, very nice modern decor, and is a non-smoking establishment.

This place was a bit weird. My mother and I walked in but there wasn't anyone to greet us. After a few minutes someone came out. He initially thought I was there to pick up an order and started rattling it off. I told him we were there to eat. So he sat us down and said he'd be back but then a female server came to take our order. She just planted herself in front of me without saying a single word just waiting for me to speak. So I told her what we wanted. I said I wanted a glass of regular water. It was about 15 min later that the original guy came out and brought our drinks - a bottled water and a can of coke. No glasses. I said I wanted tap water so he changed it for a glass of warm water. Sometime after that, my mother's food was brought to the table. She got the chicken kebab sandwich which she said was good. However, the fries were cold. I told the guy and he promptly changed them for ones that were piping hot. My food didn't come for nearly 10 more minutes. I hate when restaurants do that. I noticed they had brought food separately for a nearby party of 8. I got the feta cheese pide. It was pretty good. Not once did either server check with us during our meal. I had to ask for the check. Although I had no complaints with the food, the place was just too weird. No ambience whatsoever and slow service. Never even got a smile. I also saw kids outside running into the kitchen. I don't think I'd be in a hurry to go back. read more

I always check the reviews on Yelp before going first time any restaurant. I did same routine again yesterday before going to 'On the Grill'. Be honest, I had concerns after reading reviews. My friend recommended this restaurant and we went there together. It was lunch time and only 1 table was available. We ordered Turkish style mix pizza (karisik pide). It was absolutely fabulous and very very delicious. I ordered one more to go because I just loved it. Our waitress was very kind. The prices was also very reasonable. I gave this restaurant 5 star because the food was so good and clean. My other reason is I feel very comfortable with the social distance in this restaurant. Many restaurants doesn't care social distance, they just care about to put extra tables outside. Next time I'm going to try some other foods there and hopefully I can stop myself not to order again 'pide'. Stay healthy and keeping social distance, please. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to order from here since it's new and town and we both love Turkish food. While the menu looked amazing, the prices were a bit daunting. Still, we decided to order the mixed pide, beyti sarma, and iskander kebab. Oh man - they were all AMAZING! Even the bulgur served as the side with my beyti sarma was incredibly flavorful. The portion sizes were also huge, making the price well worth it. Overall, I'm super glad we ordered, and highly suggest ordering from here as a nice way to treat yourself or have a date night in. read more

Went here once with family after voting for the Turkish presidential election in south Jersey. This place was close by and being so hungry we decided to eat here than rather drive to our usual places an hour or two back home. I didn't have much of a chance to try much of the menu, as I have only been here once but their manti is some of the best I've ever tried. Manti is my absolute favorite traditional dish, and very few Turkish restaurants in the US get it right. I was floored by their manti, it was like as my anneanne had cooked it. My family was so satisfied with their meals we all raved about it! I live quite far away but if I were a local I'd come so regularly. I truly can't wait to visit and eat their amazing manti, which is already such a rarity in the US. We were driving up Route 130 and remembered the Ebru Bakery in this location. We saw this replacement and stopped to pick some delicious snacks: excellent lentil soup served with crusty fresh Turkish bread, two types of pide (thick dough filled with various things, similar to pizza,) and lamahcun. The special pide probably had sausage, eggs and cheese, very tasty. The potato one was also very good. A small plain salad came too: very good food. read more
