The school approved a 90-day leave agreement. However, around day 82, before the agreed period ended, the school contacted me and informed me that my program was being shut down. They also stated that I would not receive my certificates and that I would still be responsible for outstanding fees and payments, despite the program being discontinued before I could complete it. I would not recommend this school. As a nonprofit organization, they often experience delays in receiving materials, sometimes taking two to three months. The staff's communication with students is unprofessional, and they do not provide meaningful assistance with job placement after completion. My girlfriend missed a couple of classes because of a family emergency and a health issue that is recent and new to her, and they acted like It was nothing to them she had a hospital paper proof, It's frustrating because she was keeping up with the work and was excited to continue this journey, but they were more focused on the attendance sheet, over a health issue my girlfriend got kicked out and had no other resolve but to worry about attendance. I had heard about "virginia kreiser" always wanting to see her fail and other students that have complained about how she treats students and giving a disgusting attitude and that is an unacceptable behavior as a teacher. Cryop ladies/ teachers need to step up and not just worry about attendance.

Maybe it has changed since 2004, but who knows... Anyway, I didn't learn basic math until I was 19 years old. Seriously. I literally could not do short division... well, until I went to the Long Beach School for Adults. At the time (I don't know about presently), they had a math learning center for remedial dummies like me and they had the most kind, caring, compassionate teachers there. They saw I was red-in-the-face embarrassed that I didn't know this basic stuff (nevermind that I blew the English assessment out of the water) and they re-assured me that it was fine, this was completely normal, and that they would get me up to speed. And they did. I learned all the math I needed to know and now, I am currently a calculus student at the college level. :-) I'll never forget my experience here!

Nicole was/is able to adjust her teaching methods to best suit my daughter's needs and abilities. Nicole not only dedicates her complete attention to her students, she also makes it her personal mission to make learning and homework fun. My daughter comes home eager to do her homework and actually likes make up stories to go with family projects. We have been utilizing this tutoring center for just over 3 years and I am comfortable enough to say it has been worth every penny!! Nicole was able to recognized my daughter had a learning disability within just a few sessions, but due to her age the school did not test my daughter. This school year my daughter was finally given an IEP which just confirms Nicole is amazing and my daughter is in the best of hands when it comes to her education. As for the tutoring center as a whole, the manager/tutor Mr. Kris is great! If at any time Nicole is running a little behind schedule he has willingly stepped in to begin my daughter's session so we are able to stick to our own schedule. The center is well staffed with tutors who are more then willing to answer any question a parent may have, as well as willing to schedule sessions according to the student/parents life not their own. I have recommended this center to many parents in my daughter's class and will continue to praise this center for their willingness and desire to help every student who struggles in school, especially Ms. Nicole and Mr. Kris!!!
