I have been training at OTMF for over 6 years, and it's been the best gym experience I've ever had. The semi-personal training format is perfect for me as I need a workout plan and someone to make me do it! Deb and Dave create each workout based on my goals and my abilities. My wife and I are in our mid 50's. We have been going to OTMF for over a year now and have had wonderful results. When we first joined, I back issues and neither of us had worked out for a couple years. They tailored a training program to fit our interests and they took care to make sure that nothing I did hurt my back. When ski season started, we asked for a program to help us on the slopes and to strengthen our legs and core so we could avoid injury and ski longer days. They again tailored a program geared to our skiing interests and we had the best ski season in years. My wife usually wears knee braces when she skis for support but none were needed all year. My back is much stronger, we have lost weight and toned up all over, we were in good enough cardio health and well conditioned to climb 5 fourteeners this past summer, we feel better about ourselves and feel like our overall strength and conditioning are in the best shape in years. I have been going to On the Move Fitness for almost two years now. When I signed up, Dave and Deb asked me about any current issues, past injuries and personal goals. I have issues with my ankles and knees and have never been an athletic person. Deb and Dave, the owners and personal trainers of On The Move Fitness, have done something for me that I never thought possible- they have made me like exercising. In the past I let my lack of knowledge get in the way of fitness. Deb and Dave know what they're doing and they explain the exercises as they teach them. They also tell me what muscles those exercises are targeting. The combination of cardio and weight training has helped me feel better and get so much stronger. On the days I have back pain they will work around that and give me stretches to help the problem area. They challenge me to push myself and to keep setting new goals. I started working with Deb and Dave about 4 years ago. I was definitely out of shape and I suffer from arthritis, even though I am fairly young. Working in an office every day made me feel so old and tired ....and I needed the motivation to take better care of myself. Going to On the Move Fitness was the best thing I ever did for myself. Dave and Deb are well trained in working with people with injuries and limitations and never push me beyond what my body is capable of. They do make me work hard, but if I ever feel that I am at my limit, we stop and switch up my workout. I have been going to On the Move since 2007. It's wonderful to have such a great place to work out at within minutes of my house. I'm pretty hard core about exercise, so I appreciate the customized hard-core workouts that Dave and Deb put together for me. At the same time, they pay attention to the occasional issues I have and come up with workarounds until I'm back to 100%. What really impresses me is that they are equally good at working with people who have medical limitations or who haven't exercised and are trying to get into shape. They also are great at customizing workouts based on the sports people are interested in. For example, spring might be workouts for hiking and cycling while autumn has skiing workouts. I have been with On the Move Fitness for 10 years. I started with a neck injury that when released from the doctor I was told I needed to strengthen those muscles. I was referred to Dave and Deb and they worked with me to regain my strength. They have been there for me through many injuries since and have helped me to regain my strength and mobility with each one. My experiences with On the Move Fitness has been extremely positive. Being a former collegiate athlete and lacking the motivation that I use to have due to a busy schedule and life in general, Dave and Deb get to know you personally to see what motivates you. They also develop a program based on your specific needs and past injuries or issues.I could see if a person that has not been training at the level in which I am use to could interpret my sessions inaccurately. I've been training at On The Move Fitness since April and I have really made great gains in strength over the past few months with Deb & Dave. I really enjoy the "semi-personal" training experience and I really like the atmosphere.
