Such a cute little spot with delicious food. The owner was soo nice as well. If you come here you have to get the waffles!

Glenside is not a normal part of my breakfast turf, but it could become an integral piece of my morning routine if On the Right Track proves consistently a wonderful place for coffee and wholesome early meals. Housed in the former Ardsley Septa train station, this memory of the late 19th/early 20th Century greater Philadelphia transportation network retains all the charm and even some of the inconveniences of life at that stage of American history. The Warminster line still stops here, bellowing its outlandishly loud horn right next to the wood framed structure, offering a noisy reminder of what has been and still can be on its reduced schedule. I was sitting outside under a large yellow tarp when the single car electric train pulled to a stop right next to me, practically blowing me out of my chair. Much more effective than the good java I was sipping to wake me up. This was a modern day Thomas boisterously saying hello. Back at ya! But, most memorable was the quality of the breakfast (Veggie Omelet, Rye Toast), and the natural warm hospitality provided by Vicki and Geaton, the owners/hands-on operators of this timeless kitchen. They served me an overstuffed omelet filled with every vegetable in their inventory, plus a handful of home fries when I asked. It was immense and seemed made of 4 eggs, not the expected 3. It was delicious and enough food for the rest of the day. Although coffee was self serve when I arrived, after being seated along the rail, both Vicki and Geaton came out to check on me and refilled my coffee mug. The price was lower than anticipated. Only $9 for all that, when it could easily been dollars more. This is a locals place, where the customers were regulars and accustomed to hanging out with friends. Still, they had no issue with me joining them this morning, and sharing this magical place.

I stopped by today at 12 to give you a try, but you were closed. Are you still in business or are the hours changed?

Good morning Brian. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We are reopening on Tuesday Sept 13. I had a very unexpected family emergency requiring me to be in Va with my son. I hope you will give us the chance to make…

There were two ladies working the cafe but once someone placed an order, a line of people would quickly grow. I like that you can grab a coffee and/or cocktail and a pastry. The cocktails are cute and some taste better than others but overall good. Our table needed a wipe down and I was without my Clorox wipes since I changed my bag quickly to meet up with friends. They have a few bistro tables and chairs located outside which is great on nice days and evenings. Lastly, I don't mind the pan with the sign asking patrons to discard their cups and dishes in the pan. These removes the clutter that can quickly pile up on tables.

Love…read moretheir flavor of the week, and you can tell the curators are having fun with different flavors, herbs, and spirits. I also enjoy their coffee and treat myself to a pound of whole bean every few months. That said, their service leaves A LOT to be desired. On three different occasions recently, the service was unfriendly, slow, and borderline inhospitable. During my most recent visit, my friend arrived 10 minutes before me, sat in the bar area, and no one had even said hello to her. When I arrived, we sat for another 5-6 minutes. Nothing. Finally, I stood up and said "hi, can we order a few drinks," and the woman (who was on the phone the entire time) looked up, said nothing in response, walked over to us, and said "what can I get you?" It was a delicious cocktail, but we sat there for another 30 or so, finished our drink, and sat there again. We had to get up, put our coats on, and finally they looked our way, and I asked for the check. I've also noticed that there's usually 3-4 people working during peak hours, but in reality, only one person is putting in majority of the effort. The others are standing around talking or looking at their phones. Disappointing. Reality check, you're in the retail and customer service industry. You have to acknowledge your patrons. If this is the new norm, there are plenty of other places in the area with great cocktails. Hopefully they can turn it around, or hire new staff.

We have been a few time so far and are so pleased with the service, and coffee. The breakfast sandwich is huge and delicious- definitely add the onions and aioli! The coffee and the food are both incredible, super tasty, and I really enjoyed it. The coffee was not overly sweet, the eggs are actually scrambled versus microwaved, incredible. My issue is that if you're there on a busy weekend like I was, a lot of times it is hard to hear when they call out names. They are also not writing the name on every drink. I happen to have the same name as somebody else there with different spellings. If they're not consistent on writing the name on the drink, then it is super easy to end up taking somebody else's. They also do not write what kind of drink it is so God forbid two people have the same exact name and a similar drink, you'll never know who's who's which can cause an issue with allergies. If they were consistent on braiding up names, and the order I probably would have bumped this to five star
