Coffee by the fake fireplace

Best part is the coffee isn't too hot to drink right when you get it I normally get cold brew because I want instant gratification. I don't like to sit and wait to drink my coffee. I got a sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel and that was pretty good too. Overall pretty chill little spot and I'm glad I got to try.

coffee cake and Cold Brew sorry i took a couple of bites it was sooo good

Just came here off a whim. The place smelled amazing and the staff was nice and efficient. I got a cold brew and a coffee cake, and the total only came to 6.5! The prices are super cheap and the coffee cake was delicious and moist. The coffee was also delicious. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful place! I came here and asked about 847343 questions and the barista was super kind, helpful, and guided me towards a wonderful experience. I asked if they had anything gluten free and she said they could do any breakfast sandwich with hash brown "buns" which was such a fun option! I got hash browns as a side, plus chicken sausage for protein. Both were great and the hash browns weren't mega-greasy. My stomach doesn't hurt after eating them. I asked the barista if the chai was good and she was honest that it can be sweet for her so I got an almond milk latte w/ vanilla and lavender instead. It's DELICIOUS - so smooth, not overpowering, overall perfect. This place is near my sister's house, maybe 40 mins from me, or I'd be here more often. WiFi isn't working atm but it's raining outside. There is a WiFi password posted so I assume it normally does work. The music isn't too loud, clientele seems nice, and there's plenty of parking nearby. This is definitely a gem - really good vibes and you can tell they're intentional here.

Rude counter service. Got eye rolls when I asked for the wifi password. Luckily she was rude to regulars as well so it wasn't just my experience. Not coming back.

The waiter Joseph is so kind and he always makes our visit special as regulars. He already knows what we want to eat, and our granddaughter has become so fond of him. My husband's favorite is the fish and grits. It makes him hum when he eats it and the chef comes up during most visits and checks in. The staff is very friendly. I often choose the belly filler and it's enough for me and my three-year-old granddaughter with leftovers to take home. We love our early morning visits there and the jazz music. It's a very nice atmosphere. There's a constant stream of people coming to pick up takeout orders so I know along with us,many people are pleased with this establishment.

Instead, they simply placed egg whites on top, which was unappetizing. After my initial order was returned due to these issues, I hoped for a better outcome. Unfortunately, the grits were hard, and the turkey sausage tasted flat, resembling a flat soda rather than a well-cooked dish. My friend ordered the Banana Foster French toast, but it was far from traditional. The bananas were served on the side, and when we expressed our disappointment, the server replied that this was their unique preparation method, which did not work at all. Overall, I would rate this experience a 1 out of 10. I have no intention of returning. When I attempted to discuss my concerns with the cook, he acknowledged my feedback but seemed indifferent, saying, "Sorry! I wasn't there. I just came back." He then promised to ensure my food would be better next time, but honestly, there won't be a next time for me. Patty

While we were waiting for food, I explored the store attached. Very cute flower shop and gift boutique. I'm not sure if they share the same owners? If so they should put a sign above the restaurant side door to advertise the shop. Maybe they can get some shoppers after breakfast/lunch? Back to the food, I had the goat cheese and sun-dried tomato quiche ($16) and it was a little too strongly flavored for me. Normally I love these two ingredients on pizza or in pasta, but this was a lot. For me, needed more egg. It didn't stop me from eating it though! We shared a Brioche French toast ($16) for the table, like an appetizer. It had a peach butter that was interesting. I think next time I want to try a Scrambled egg sandwich ($15) and add sausage patties. ($5) I saw a guy get that and it looked amazing. Now he knows how to order!

My only mild disappoint was the cornbread, as it was a little dry. Admittedly I only picked this restaurant because of the cool greenhouse concept so I had no expectations. They do not take reservations, which is a bummer, but the town is cute to walk around so we didn't mind the 45 minute wait. It is busy for Sunday brunch and it can get a little loud. Overall the vibe is unique, the food is tasty, and the people are nice. I don't know if this is a regular place for me, but I will be thinking of the eggs for a while. Also, like most places in Philly they charge a credit card fee.

The sauce is not clerk sweet and the peppers themselves are not overly spicy, the peppers themselves are almost in the background when taking a bite. Their mussel appetizer is a generous portion with the mussels being the meatier ones, which I prefer as more meat and they are more flavorful! Mixed drinks can be a hit or miss as I find the aperol spritz sometimes is made on the weaker side and their margs are not always shaken well. I tend to stick with the wines. For dessert the tiramisu is always a go to choice as it is a generous portion. Lady, the atmosphere never misses. I love to sit at the tables in the bar area but their dining room is just as nice. For dinner I chose a simple Bolognese pasta which like the mussels was fantastic. Even though I didn't have much room left my son and I shared homemade chocolate banana bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Riley our sever was great and the food didn't disappoint. I highly recommend that you stop in and give Scoogis a try.

I pictured myself entering this place like Snow white. The birds and butterflies would announce my arrival everyone would break into song.... None of that took place which is disappointing however, I still maintain that it was a five star experience. It's so cool to have a little cottage like this just off the trail. No one can drive to it. I imagine business is pretty seasonal. For me that creates an appeal that most places don't have. It reminds me of a few places I was at in Florida that you can only get to by the water. It's probably not great for business to limit your clientele but it creates an experience. "The iced coffee tastes like they dumped concentrate over ice." Said most average Amy. Quote may not be verbaI personally love it that way. But it's pretty strong and not for everyone. I know most of the store-bought 64oz cold brew containers suggest you water it down but I never do. The muffins are serious. You can take a date there and get one muffin to share. Not only are they large, they are also pretty damn good. The cups were the waxy paper type that were so popular in the late 80's - early 90's. I imagine it was not to be nostalgic but rather to save on cost. I don't even see these cups around anymore so I imagine there is supply with now demand. There is probably a stockpile somewhere that's been removed from restaurant chains that didn't survive Y2K. You can get a salmon BLT for $12.95. The coffee was like 3 something. These prices aren't European prices! Nothing is this cheap, cheap, cheap anymore.

We had visited Philadelphia for the weekend and wanted to grab a coffee on the way out of town. I picked Cedars House after a quick search on Yelp, but I was not prepared for just how wonderful it was! Their website refers to the cafe as "A little cafe in the woods..." and that's exactly what it is! The cafe is located at start of several trailheads in Wissahickon Valley Park. It's green and gorgeous and this cafe feels like a cafe in a fairytale - nestled in the green woods. The service was great, and the menu was more extensive than I would have guessed! I had salmon BLT, which really hit the spot. The next time I'm in Philadelphia, I'd love to go for a hike on the trails and then visit the Cedars House for lunch and to read a book in a cozy nook of the cafe. So charming. I can't wait to return.
