The interior is a remodeled old home and dining areas are sectioned off in separate rooms of the house, giving the place, a comfy, relaxed, dining atmosphere. Large windows illuminated the room where we ate. Despite the wet weather, the light filled the dining area. The wintered hydrangeas just outside, added charm to my view. The perfect spot for morning tea. Our service was friendly. The staff was attentive, and our experience a pleasant one. We will definitely be back to sample more on the menu and highly recommend you check it out.

After a year, I think we've found it. The dining area isn't huge, but it does offer ample seating. The decor is classy with artwork from local artists adorning the walls--with some of it for sale. Joseph took our orders, and he was both polite and efficient. The portions appear to be generous. That was certainly the case for the two items we ordered and the other items we saw coming out of the kitchen. While we live on the south side of the Chestnut Hill neighborhood, and Breakfast Boutique is on the north side, the walk is always pleasant, and the neighbors friendly. If you're looking for a great place for breakfast food, consider coming up to Chestnut Hill (easily accessed by the Chestnut Hill West line on SEPTA Regional Rail).

I did return two other times, once with friends, and once alone and tried to just overlook what happened however I cannot. In these crazy times, there is no place for hate. One of my main goals in life is to live as one of Gods children (yes, Jewish) and treat people as I would have others treat me. I just had to get this off my chest.

There is probably a stockpile somewhere that's been removed from restaurant chains that didn't survive Y2K. You can get a salmon BLT for $12.95. The coffee was like 3 something. These prices aren't European prices! Nothing is this cheap, cheap, cheap anymore.

I picked Cedars House after a quick search on Yelp, but I was not prepared for just how wonderful it was! Their website refers to the cafe as "A little cafe in the woods..." and that's exactly what it is! The cafe is located at start of several trailheads in Wissahickon Valley Park. It's green and gorgeous and this cafe feels like a cafe in a fairytale - nestled in the green woods. The service was great, and the menu was more extensive than I would have guessed! I had salmon BLT, which really hit the spot. The next time I'm in Philadelphia, I'd love to go for a hike on the trails and then visit the Cedars House for lunch and to read a book in a cozy nook of the cafe. So charming. I can't wait to return.
