I needed to receive a BSLA certificate that was AHA accredited and I was recommended to come here , The first portion is done at home on your computer then you go to the facility where you take your test with the dummy ,at first I was skeptical but the experience was pleasant, you are given an access code to the enter the premises & log in to your account, the computer lets you know how you're doing & you are given the opportunity to retake it . I passed and was in and out within an hour . Care:5/5- I did this all by following instructions I did not directly work with anyone but they were very well written instructions via email . Quality :5/5- clean facility with plenty of cleaning supplies. Cost:3/5-$120 +$10 security in case you need to reschedule your appointment was a bit steep but it pays off on the long run . Cleanliness:5/5 Atmosphere:5/5- small room but big enough for two people to take their exam at the first time . Absolutely terrible communication and service. I called the phone number listed on the email and spoke to a Virnale to see if I could arrive earlier for my appointment time. This was around 1:50pm. The representative said that since there were no other students scheduled, so it was fine that I could. My drive was 30 minutes to this location. I followed the instructions and video that they provided to find the correct location, and the receptionist was no where to be found. I called the customer service line again at 2:29pm and spoke to the same person earlier about where the receptionist was. They made me aware that they were taking a lunch from Noon-2:00pm. If that was the case, Virnale didn't make me aware of that. I explained that at this point, I searched the entire 4th floor asking everyone around. I called the phone number back around 3:04pm, and spoke to an Anora. I apologized in advance and explained my frustration with her about the situation. I was told by both callers with Safety Training Seminars just to "wait a few more minutes". I explained that I understood that maybe the receptionist is waiting to come back for my 4:00 pm appointment, but at this point I was given the wrong information by the first caller to come in earlier thinking that I would be finished earlier today. As a nursing student, this is extremely irritating and a waste of my time to study for my exit exam. It's currently around 3:26 pm, and I'm still looking at an empty reception desk. Never coming back to give this business my money again. I will be looking for a different business to recertify my CPR. read more

I needed to quickly complete a Basic Life Support Class for my new job. Safety Training Seminars had the soonest availability. It's slightly more expensive than some other training programs but since I needed the certification within a short time frame; I went with them. The class is super convenient. You register online for your skills portion and complete the didactic portion in the convenience of your own home, and on your own schedule. The online portion is tailored to your knowledge of BLS. If you are an expert, you will go more quickly through the coursework than a novice. The skills portion was super easy as well. You are given a code, directions, and you show up to an office with the mannequins needed to perform the skills you learned in the online didactic portion. It's a little awkward at first being in the room by yourself performing CPR, but you get used to it. Plus it's nice not being in a classroom setting and having to wait for everyone to complete their skills. Of note, Safety Training Seminars states it is rare for people to pass their skills on the first try. There is a computer in the skills lab that directs you what to do throughout the entire session. This computer also offers a review of what to do for your skills. I highly recommend watching the video before each skill. The sensors on the mannequins are very sensitive, and if you do not follow exactly what is shown on the review video, you will have to do the skill again. Thankfully, I passed most of my skills on the first try and was done in about 20 minutes. Much shorter than going to class!! read more

Convenient location, clean space and friendly staff. Classes are limited so there's not much of a choice for their schedules. I would recommend calling and asking their class capacity first for the date you've chosen. COVID-19 precautions in place, kind of. Masks are required and provided, as well as hand sanitizers. However, spacing isn't enough for 10 people. We were tightly packed in there. The room would accommodate 8 max for a class to follow the 6ft physical distancing, not 10. One star off for this. One person sat almost next to the door and beside another, one next to the snack table and I literally sat next to another person who was coughing and had his foot up my dummy's face so I had to move a few inches away to my left. What a great healthcare worker that guy is. Could have pulled a Karen on him but I digress. Conner was our instructor. He knew his stuff, made jokes, 2 people laughed, one of them was me, the other was Conner. Somehow he made the class seem not too boring but the crowd was dull. It wasn't a stand up comedy bar after all but he tried. He said I got 1 mistake on the test and I asked him what it was, but then he said I got a perfect score. Now I won't know for sure, didn't see the test result. I wanted to know so I could correct myself in the future. My rating took one star off by that. Although, I would probably come back here and get my card renewed after 2 years. This is my 2nd card with them. The location is just super convenient for me. I have my AHA BLS card after 3 hours and 45 minutes later. I thought this class was going to be long and boring like one of my typical Saturday classes in the past, but my instructor Dan was pretty funny and engaging. Not bad to look at either. Class cost: $60 bucks, $20 for the book (required, if you have your own copy--bring it!). Make reservations online, pay cash or check on the day of! What I learned--never give direct mouth to mouth unless it's that one person I wouldn't mind catching a disease from. So to prevent that, carry a mask (if you check in on Yelp at the end of class, you get a free key chain mask, and if you do a review, another one). And I also learned I can give a pretty good compression. There is a 25 question at the end of the class. It's really hard to fail since he gives you multiple tries, (I have test anxiety when I'm new to the subject). That's the only not so fun part, but I would come back to renew in 2 years. read more

I needed to get CPR AED certified and I found this place online. They provide a myriad of certifications and classes regarding first aid and medical training. It was 70$ for class, but totally worth it, especially because I learn better in person. I got a confirmation email and reminder texts multiple times leading up to the actual class which contained the class time and address. This was incredibly helpful because not only did it give me peace of mind but it also made sure that I wouldn't accidentally miss the class. I get anxious really easily before appointments or classes and that was significantly reduced due to the reminders. They don't do refunds but you can cancel and reschedule for free. The person that provided the training was very sanitary wearing gloves and sanitizing their hands anytime they would touch the remotes and/or equipment. They were also very dynamic and involved the class and made sure the students had space to ask questions and practice what was being taught. They also offer free coffee and tea and snacks. It was a little hard to find because they don't have a big sign, it is located between squeeze burger and boost mobile. The class I took was the skills validation for American Heart Assoc. Basic Cardiac Life Support for EMS. Class began promptly at 10am and I was out the door at 10:50am. My instructor was very knowledgeable, I have been certified as an EMT for 27 years, and CPR certified for 35 years, and this instructor had excellent technique. The explanations he gave for why he had us perform certain techniques in certain ways where very well thought out and made perfect sense. One warning, the training center is in a strip mall and doesn't have a large sign on the marquis wall. It is only marked by a small sign on the door. I initially had a hard time finding it. Look for the big "Vape" sign, the CPR training is next door to the Vape Shop. read more

So I recently had to tag a BLS course because mine had expired and I need it to work at the VA hospital. During the class we have to taken an exam and I have testing anxiety really bad. The instructor Wendy was able to go over the questions and read them out loud to me so that I was able to process them and give her the correct answers. The time that she spent with me was exceptional and it was professional and it was caring. I'd like the fact that she was willing to spend the time with me so I can get the material correct. The guy that taught the class October 5th at 11 a.m. was very rude!!! I thought. When I walked in there I had to go use the restroom and he asked me where did I think I was going I said to the restroom and when I came back out he had an attitude he was already up teaching the class it was three minutes till 11... But he rudely said go on and have a seat... I already had my book that I had bought last year when I took my son on the table with my purse when I went to the bathroom so I just got up and left... These classes are usually awesome I've been taking them since I was a CNA working for the hospital and I've been taking them for the past three years as a nurse... American Heart Association usually have some great teachers but this guy is a disservice!! I'll just have to drive to the Bay Area shame on you American Heart Association!!! read more
