Mañana is located at the South Congress Hotel has coffee + tea, bakeshop and grab + go offerings (primarily water, kombucha, paletas and juices). Of course I was there for a latte spiked with black sesame vanilla (their most popular latte) according to my barista, which I paired with an almond bear claw. This was not your typical bear claw as it was not eye-squinting sweet but bursting with almond flavoring primarily in the center. It was almost like a crescendo in a symphony when you got to the center of the bear claw. My latte was flavorful in a subtle way with the sesame vanilla permeating throughout the latte. It is important to note that they make their own pastries and tacos each day. The pastries are a bit pricey costing more than my latte. The coffee shop has floor to ceiling windows on two sides with one of the windows opening into a courtyard with additional seating. The beautifully titled coffee bar immediately grabs your attention. In addition, service was quick and efficient. I was in and out the coffee shop within 10 minutes. I parked right in front of the coffee shop as it was early before the meters started to tick.

The Cosmic Saltillo location is our go-to because it's walking distance from our home. This original location is amazing. Love the both so much. I like that there are food truck onsite, lots and lots of outdoor seating, koi pond, chickens, certified green spaces, and so much more. It's like being at the greatest campground ever. The interior is spacious. The entire place is welcoming and friendly. Super service. Super cocktails. Super coffee. Super other drinks. You see where I'm going, right? I love it here!

I've been coming to this coffee shop for years and haven't gotten around to leaving a review (my laziness completely), but I feel compelled to do so after the most recent negative reviews. I love this shop. The coffee is wonderful, the owners really care about the quality and the baristas are great to make conversation with as I'm enjoying my cappuccino. I was actually here the day the so called incident occurred and the descriptions of what happened are so far off I had to set the record straight. It was a quiet Saturday morning and there were a few customers scattered around the shop doing their own quiet things (crosswords, laptops, etc) and in the corner, taking up 3 tables in a cafe that has 10 tables total, was a group of youngish Greg Abbott campaigners (the shirts and stickered laptops proudly proclaimed this status). No one was paying them any mind until they popped open a laptop and began blasting a Greg Abbott livestream at top volume. The manager rushed over and told them to turn it down, which they obliged, until she returned behind the bar and then they turned it back up. Two of the customers at the end of the bar turned around and confronted them about the loudness of the livestream to which they were told, "it'll be over in a minute." The two customers then became agitated and told them to take it outside that they were disturbing everyone's peace. The girl of the group got out of her seat with phone in hand and stuck it in the gentleman's face saying, "What's your name?" to which he replied, "F**** off, that's my name." The lady he was with again told them to take it outside at which point they gathered their things and reconvened on the back patio, I assume to finish their livestream. Then they took their stuff and left. That's it. There was no "f***ing b*tch" or "c***" language used and from my perspective the only people causing a disturbance was them. read more

I visited this shop for the first time today about 9:30am. Shortly after arriving, I witnessed a very disturbing confrontation. There was small group of young people having what looked like a meeting in the back of the shop. The group was confronted buy a man that appeared to be in his 50's with a pony tail and a lady in her mid 30's. They confronted the group, and specifically a petite young blond lady using every curse word in the book. Even yelling at the young lady calling her " You Fu+#ing B*tch". All while the manager or staff did nothing to defuse the confrontation. From my view, these young people didn't do anything, and certainly didn't deserve to be treated that way for any reason. Just totally unacceptable and the owner and management should be ashamed. read more

Coffee: The coffee products, especially espresso drinks are quality. They also have a variety of vegan and gluten free treats that are actually pretty good. Ambience: There are tables, and chairs... meh Staff: 'Once Over Coffee' serves more as a clubhouse for the staff and their friends who occupy bar seating rather than customers paying high dollar for their drinks. Expect to stand awkwardly at the register while your barista snubs you before heading over with a lukewarm greeting. Overall: Holding product, ambience and service equal, there are better coffee shops in the vicinity (i.e. 7th Flag down the street). I might go to this coffee shop from time to time but this place won't ever be a local favorite. Notes: Parking is tight. read more

Finding a non-chain coffee shop in Austin that opens early on a Saturday morning was much more difficult than I realized. Fortunately for me, Once Over Coffee carries on the long standing tradition of "early" morning coffee. My latte x-shot had a pleasant mouth feel, well balanced espresso flavor that finished with an almost campfire smokiness. Very nice. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the cash discount was a nice surprise. Will definitely return. read more

I stopped by Once Over to take a break from my usually afternoon coffee spot and I had a great cup of coffee! They use a coffee I've never heard of - Wild Hare - and my cappuccino was smooth, creamy, and the perfect temperature. My only negative comment is that service was slow. It took about 6-7 minutes to get my drink when the cafe was nearly empty and there was nobody in front of me in line. Oh well! Good coffee and friendly service. read more

I visited Austin for a work trip and happened upon this place. It was such a great find, reminded me a lot of old school Bay Area coffee shops before they got hip. The coffee is very good and the baristas were funny and had great opinions about drink selection when I asked. Next time I'm in town, I will definitely be back. read more

The flatbread was good and a perfect pre shopping snack. I will definitely be back take a note to turn at the entrance, not closest to the church.
