Love shopping here. Almost veto'd the place when the manager called my child 'dirty'. Sure, she was a disaster, she had just come from daycare. She always looks like a hot mess when she leaves. They let them be kids there. We hadnt washed her face before stopping at OUaC on our way home, woops. Anyway, it was said rudely, but I just avoid that lady and get my clothing deals. Good place to get inexpensive clothes and for selling your good quality items. Just have to ignore the management. The other folks that work there are wonderful. read more

Not Impressed. I have been here twice to sell and been rejected both times with most of my items, on the basis they are not "recent". My daughter is only 2, and most of the items I brought were 24 months (she had a growth spurt). What I brought was quality too, I worked at Herberger's and still buy most of my children's clothing there. Its not that I'm just sore that they won't buy my stuff, I'll just donate it. What really makes me mad is they're Ripping You Off. When I've looked around while waiting, I've seen many items from Carter/Calvin/Oshkosh, etc... which were from the past two years and still priced high, more that you would pay on clearance somewhere. They also like to break up sets (undershirts/pajamas, etc) and sell them for more than they're worth. My advice, clip your 20% coupon and go to a sale at whatever your choice department store is, and buy your kids clothes new, for the same if not less than here. read more

My favorite place to shop for clothes for my boys! As my boys outgrow their clothes I throw them in bins. As the season gets ready to change I pull out the clothes for the upcoming season, and run down to trade them in. I also grab any toys & books that my toddler has outgrown or my Tween has gotten bored with. Today I took in two arms full of stuff, and walked out with one arm full they weren't interested in and $35 worth of clothes/shoes/toys that I didn't have to pay for! You can just get cash for your items, but you get a little more if you spend what they "buy" in the store that day. Today I waited a little longer than normal. It was about 40 minutes. Next time I won't go on a Monday morning when everyone else cleaned out their closets too. =) The customer service is great. The ladies I've dealt with always have a smile on their face, and have answers to any questions. You're not going to get garage sale prices. But they're on par with a higher end thrift store, and you don't have to sift through stained clothing and broken toys. read more

This is a place you can skip. The staff is not helpful. There is so much stock it is hard to find what you need and the staff acts as if you are bothering them if you ask for help. Also, the prices are way too high. I visit the Once Upon A Child stores in other locations and always end up leaving with a huge bag- this one, empty handed. Yes, I have been there more than once. I keep visiting hoping for change :) This store charges 2 to 3 times more than OUaC in the Mpls/StPaul area. There are better used kids and consignment kids shops in the FM area. read more

I've shopped here many of times and had recently went in to sell some items to them. Now I don't expect to get anywhere near top dollar for my kids clothes but they are ridiculous on how they pick the clothes they want. I get it it's a second hand store but I recently brought in and item to sell (along with other items) and there was one small mark on it. And I mean small. Well they wouldn't except it and that's fine but here's the thing that got me when I've shopped there their shoes are scuffed up pretty badly(why do don't buy them) some of the clothes they sell have zippers that don't work, or holes that you didn't notice till you got home. Idk it's left me disappointed on how they critique items and what they pass on to the customer. If you do buy from here triple check your items. Their customer service isn't very good. Impolite and inpatient. I'm just going to stick to shopping at other stores when they have sales. Brand new and same price. read more
