I've been coming to this specific location for a few years now to where management has changed plenty of times and I wish I remembered the previous manager because she was amazing! However the manager now is very rude and her attitude is not welcoming at all. You have plenty of moms on a very small budget coming into this store and you would think they would have more patience and kindness. DO NOT EVEN BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE! Not only is it dirty it's in a bad area of town and the staff is extremely rude and condescending. They say the don't buy stuff after 2pm. I've gone here more than 3 times before 2pm and they always give me a different excuse as to why they are not doing buys that day. The things they sell there are not any better than what you would find at a Goodwill. Save yourself a bad time and just post you stuff on Facebook market , trust me you'll make more money. The staff is overall the worst part of this place. If you're so miserable about your job and cannot provide friendly and decent customer services then take yourself to the unemployment line and free yourself from making peoples day harder. If I could give 0 stars I would. I'd rather donate my babies clothes than take the squabbles they offer. This store is designed to sale and buy gently used clothes, cool concept right? Except most of what they sale here is more than gently used, over-priced and they don't offer fair prices at all. Service here is also terribal. I've come here on a few occasions and I've never been greeted upon arrival. Today I came in to sale some items and I stood for a few mins with no " welcome in" or " we will be right with you". There was 4 ladies working behind the counter. All four made eye contact but failed to say anything. Finally I asked if I was in the correct place to sale items and she said " are those 18 months and younger?... I replied yes and she shut me down and told me unless it's brand new with tags they aren't accepting infant clothes but give them an hour and they will look. For 7 items with tags still attached and well known brands they wanted to give me $7. No thank you! I would rather donate to a mother in need of clothes than take less than the price of one item. I had thought this establishment was similar to Platoes but not so much. Also something to mention: the lady who walked in before us had her bag of child clothes checked immediately. We did try the Once Upon a Child in New Smyrna and this store was so much nicer!!! They actually had great deals, newer trends and everyone was so friendly. read more

Workers are extremely unfriendly. They don't greet you at all when you walk in. They locked the doors 10 minutes before close and the lady rudely said to me, "excuse me, we're closing in 5 minutes." I asked, "10 minutes or 5?" To which she again said 5 minutes. I immediately walked to the front and she had to unlock the doors to let me out. If you advertise that you close at 5:00 PM, why are you locking the doors 10 minutes early? Also, a lot of the clothes I looked at were stained and in poor condition, as well as the shoes. This place is ridiculous. I wanted to donate my sons clothes to this place. Knowing it's for a good cause and they are affiliated with a church. These women are disgusting and distasteful. I came in with 2 bags and a jumparoo that I had to set up, which I knew I had to do. The clothes were neatly folded. I was asked to bring them in a bin. I was turned away because it wasn't in a bin nor did they check if it was folded. They take what people sell or donate and PLACE THEM INTO BINS ANYWAY. What's the logic in that? Now I would of said okay no problem but the 2 ladies had attitudes and try to say otherwise. These ladies should of have been humble and graciously accept these donations for families and kids who are in need. Which is the reason why I chose this place to begin with. We had 3 boxes of stuff to sell. First off they didn't greet me when coming in and I know the process which is good. Because they didn't say anything till I was done checking in. They stood there like I was a bother. The next day I received a phone call from them stating I forgot a box. Which they only gave me 2 of my boxes back. Clothes at this location are always horrible - stained, dirty and just gross. I have come to this location about a dozen times to see if it was just an off day but NOPE. Each and every single time I was severely disappointed by the staff and products. Do not even bother bringing any items to sell to this location. They won't take a single thing regardless if it is baby gap or justice brand new with tags. My experience at the Kissimmee,fl. Location was very unprofessional. And the customer Service was terrible!! I only needed to change my daughters tap shoes and jazz shoes sizes fr a bigger size. But no , bluntly No! And to top it off I had purchased two days ago a shopkins house with a bunch of shopkins collections for $30. I had to use both hands to carry it out to my vehicle. So I signed the store's receipt copy but I was focused on not tripping on the floor that I ddnt mind my own receipt copy. So the blonde lady Hispanic, said and without a receipt worst, we definitely can't help you. I said that I was aware that within 7 days clothing and apparel can be returned or exchanged. I said I don't need my money back please. And she say that policy changed since COVID! And I said well your receipt doesn't State it. And it should or you should stamp it after a purchase but mine doesn't state it.. I went there to find a play pin and stroller one of the women told me they go with 24 to 48 hours so she asked me for my name and number got 9 really nibe quality and really cute outfits for my grandson for 30 dollar that was toda. I went a couple weeks ago and got a really good high chair for him but he loves It it reclines back. What you would expect with a consignment shop. It's very crowded and you have to actually look through things. It's hit or miss... I've found some amazing deals. They don't give you a ton money for your used stuff, but it's fair. Again, what you would expect with a consignment shop. This used to be my favorite place to sell. But I just left the new location and the older lady that works there gave me attitude from the moment she saw me. Didnt smile wasnt pleasant at all. I left my clothes and what used to take 20 min took me an hour waiting, and on top of that she didnt even look through all the clothes bc towards the bottom was still folded clothes and with brand new tags that were all given back to me. I just recently stumbled upon selling at Once Upon a Child. I have purchased from them before but haven't sold. What a great experience! I in the past have sold at big local shows, but that is so much work. This was a super easy process, you stop in, fill out a form and hand over what you are interested in selling. Check the stores sites as some have limitations on what they are taking and how many bins, large items they can accept. Smaller stores will only take 1 bin or 1 big item. The more items you take the more you could look at getting back. Each time I went to pick up my items it was more than I expected so that's gotta be good right? Its a lot easier than sitting in the sun all day doing a yard sale, or tagging/attaching/dropping off for a big sale. Awesome experiences! read more

Got about 15 clothing items for 20$. If I was shopping at the brand new store i would end up paying this much for just one item ( baby gap for example). Love the fact that it's greener this way, recycling clothes and finding branded names for a fraction of the normal price. Loved that they discourage using plastic bag and give an extra point for not using it. Will be back soon for more as my son grows out of his outfits so fast :) read more

I honestly don't think the people pricing the items know what they're talking about when they evaluate the items. A lot of the clothes i brought in were brand new with tags, i'm not saying i expected comparable pricing to the tags but $21 for at least 10 brand new with tag items and a brand new halloween costume, they also didn't take the headband that went with the costume which makes me think they just browsed through the items. Its good if you're looking to just clean out the closet. and want it just gone, instead of selling items online. They called me when they were done, was pretty fast. I looked for a walker for my daughter while i was there, for the prices there ( $22 used, dusty) i'm just going to buy a brand new one ($30) overall it was an okay experience, bought some onsies (10 for $10) and a couple of nice dresses. Have been shopping here for a while and the customer service has improved considerably. The new girls are always helpful. Too bad the store is so packed with merchandise. Is difficult to shop for clothes when is so packed together. The clientele is very rude considering they are shopping in a second hand store and selling for money. Be careful with this place. The staff is nasty loud and rude. They don't tell you that you need to come back the same day to get cash. We had brand new kids cloth with tickets still on them, we were told that they will call us in 40 minutes. After 2 hours of no one calling us back, my wife call and they told us it was ready. Never told us that we have to go back the same day or we were going to get STORE CREDIT. We don't need anything from that store, just wanted some cash so my son can have his own little money from his own cloth. This place is a scam. Out of all the Once Upon A Childs in the area this is by far the WORST one to go to. There are two other locations that are a much farther drive and for both quality and quantity I would rather make the far out drives than go to this one even if I live in the Hunters Creek community. When the story first opened it seemed to be okay, if I had reviewed the store then I might of given it 3.5 stars. But my last visit just sealed the deal in for me and I don't think I will be coming back. Usually you can find some great deals. New children's clothing with the tags still on them and I loved that! But the employees there are rude, I didn't see the familiar faces that I had seen before and I noticed the Now Hiring sign on the door so I'm guessing they are hiring new help. The new employees are horrible: rude and condescending. Within 5 minutes of being in the store I didn't want to shop there anymore and the only reason why I continued was because my boyfriend wanted me to get something for our daughter even though I would of gladly went to the next location. Another thing I noticed and I understand that it is a children's store and that children are going to take the toys/gear out and leave them there but the associates would look at the toys and step over them. They didn't push them back in, they acknowledged the fact that these items were in the aisle and in the way and did nothing about it. That is a safety hazard and negligence and the store is small enough they need to make use of organization as much as possible. I gave them a bag full of clothing and they took ONE item. I understand that they can't take everything but I just made the visit when they had their clearance blow out sale when the store was empty. I told this to one of my girlfriends who have gone to the store as well and we talked for 30 minutes about our disdain for the store. In my bag I had all name-brand clothing: Ralph Lauren, Carter's, The Children's Place, Bon Bebe, etc newer items that I had seen hanging on their racks. My boyfriend even told me that he overheard the associate going through my bag that the only reason why she took the one item was because she wanted to get it for her daughter. My girlfriend said that her and her other mutual friends hate selling their items at this store and have had much better luck at the other locations so I will be going to those locations from now on. Needless to say I won't be coming back here. I'd rather drive the extra 30-45 min to the next two locations to do my Once Upon A Child shopping. I brought my son's clothing in and they offered fair pricing considering you are getting cash back (vs other places that will offer you more but it's store credit). Very cordial and pleasant. I was not expecting much considering reviews I've read on yelp, Google, Facebook... But it worked out well for me here today. The store is small and the toy areas are a bit overstuffed and difficult to find items but it seemed organized. It took less than an hour. Overall very satisfied with this store. read more

The Women working there are the Rudest Employees ever, Bitter, Terrible attitude, No Education and simply mean, it felt as if we were checking in a county jail instead of a kids store, when we first went in, we were both skilling and excited we found the store and that smiles died when I told the way at the desk that it was our first time there and to give us instructions, and she basically told me to shut up and listen to her before I even finished talking (awkward and embarrassing to say the least) , it is Dirty & smelly Store Disorganized, the toys are dirty and Super Overpriced. Some of the clothes had animal/pet hair in them. What a Horrible experience!! And I was only going with a friend because in he TV commercial they made it sound like a FUN experience but I guess that was nothing further from the reality. My friend took some clothes of her 3 years old girl that were in awesome condition, most of it Zara clothes. I know cause I helped her pack it and they gave her $17 for a whole of the blue bins they use to place the clothes. She wanted a booster chair for the kitchen table and we found one that apparently was not even dusted from the previous user.
