Lindsey was so great at communicating with, despite me being a busy single Mom and taking a bit to reply. The whole team was so helpful and great to work with. We booked Blippi, which was not easy to find, and the actor was absolutely amazing! Shoutout to Joaquin!!! He called me the night before to get more information on Cali Rose, the b-day girl, and what was planned so he would deliver the best for us, as well as my request of letting me know when he was arriving to get video and pictures. Cali has albinism which makes it difficult for her to see and navigate in the sun and bright light, so Joaquin made sure to have her not facing the sun during the games or interacting. All of the kids loved having Joaquin there (even those that didn't know who Blippi was) and made my job of wondering how to entertain 12 kids for 3 hours much easier! We originally planned on 1.5 hours but, couldn't stop the fun so ended up extended it another 1.5 hours. Joaquin never stopped being Blippi for a minute and entertaining the kids. He made sure to focus on Cali Rose but also included all of her friends and family. With Cali Rose and her family being bilingual (English and Spanish) it was an amazing surprise to learn he knew some of the traditional birthday songs for the Piñata and Happy Birthday! Cali Rose, her family and friends kids have not stopped talking about and dancing to the songs at the party since! We created a custom treasure hunt and shared the details with him in advance, and he did an excellent job leading more than 10 kids through it seamlessly. The children had an amazing time, and many parents commented on how magical, energetic, and engaging the party was. They mistreat their workers and lie to parents. They pay for good reviews, I suggest looking elsewhere. They changed bookings on us several times, but we had found the original actor online and spoke to her before the party. The booking company apparently decided to punish her by telling her she wasn't booked for our party just days before the party. This left a salty taste in my mouth and I felt I needed to post this online for the world to see. They use predatory practices and mistreat these poor young girls who just want to bring joy to children's lives.

The only thing I would say is that no one did tell us that we needed needle nose pliers to remove the metal clips on the hair braids when she was ready to take them out, and that information would have been nice to have! We found that info with a Google search so it doesn't change the fact that we had an amazing time, but keep in mind that you will need to have pliers to pinch open the hair bands to get them out once you want to remove them. I recommend parking on the mainland and taking the ferry over for an even more magical experience. Overall, we had a great time and I absolutely recommend Once Upon An Island for your special little mermaid!
