Went for a pedi with a friend. The vibe was very calm and relaxing even when it got busy. We didnt wait very long before we were seated and once we were seated they provided us two menus. One for drinks like alcohol, beverages, coffees, or fruit drinks. You are limited to two. The other menu was for all their services which also had a description as to what was included for Service. I got the lemongrass detox pedi. The scents were amazing and relaxing. I think the hot oil therapy was probably my favorite part. I don't know what was in it, but my feet/ legs felt so much better after. My only issue was with the hot stones. It burned on my left foot which hurt when they put the was treatment on after. I had a bit of a reaction for about a week and half after . I would say just check temperatures if you are sensitive. Regardless , I still left relaxed and pampered. I deff recommend it if you're going with a friend for self care day. I did get a coffee during my pedi ! It was so good! Again, you're able to get two so don't skip out on it. read more

My husband and I came here for the first time yesterday and we had a fantastic experience at One51! I got a set of GelX with designs and a pedicure and my husband got a manicure done. The environment was great there were plenty of seatings and a large variety of color and polish types. James worked on my pedicure and he did an amazing job. I did not felt rushed and his massage was awesome! Vivian did my husband's manicure and he loved how soft his hands felt and she made them look clean and fresh. Katie did my GelX set and she did a fabulous job! She took her time and gave me the exact design and color I wanted. She even went back to fix some small details that came out a little uneven. I really like this salon it's clean, nice, and the staff is super friendly. Prices are reasonable, and they do really good work on nails, pedicures, and eyebrows. The only issue I had was with my 4-year-old daughter's polish. She got her nails and toes painted, and the polish came off the same night in the tub. My niece also got acrylic on her toes, but they didn't clean her toes beforehand, so it felt a bit rushed. I couldn't go back the next day since it was Monday and I didn't want to bother them, but I wish it had held up better. Other than that, they do good work overall, and I'd still recommend them. read more

I really wanted to like this place, but my experience left me shaken. I went in for a pedicure and the leg massage was so deep that I didn't realize how intense it was until the next morning, when I woke up with painful bruises up and down my legs. I've had plenty of pedicures elsewhere and have never had anything like this happen. When I reached out to the salon, the response felt dismissive. I went in person hoping for a real conversation, but the manager minimized the bruising and told me they don't give refunds. I was only offered a small discount on a future visit, which doesn't feel appropriate after being injured. I'm sharing this so others know to be careful and speak up if the pressure feels too strong. I decided to check out this place because it's very close to my neighborhood. However, although I am happy with the final results of both the mani and pedi, I have an issue with the quality of the service itself. My particular nail tech was cold and unwelcoming. The only time that she would speak is to constantly ask if I was okay or if the products were too hot. While I do appreciate that, she would otherwise act indifferent towards me. It's a shame because I could hear the customer behind me having a conversation with her nail tech. My nail tech wordlessly shooed me off so to speak to indicate that she was done. Another issue is that she redid one of my nails for seemingly no reason. I guess it didn't meet her standards. I understand that she wanted it to look perfect, but it was unnecessary. It looked perfectly fine before in my opinion. It all just left a bad taste in my mouth even if it wasn't outright disrespectful. It's just that I would normally feel refreshed when visiting the salon and this experience felt very off. I'm disappointed to say that this will be my first and last time going to this salon of my own accord. read more

This salon is super close to my house, so I've been coming for about a year and a half. I'll start by saying the space is beautiful and always clean. It's a large salon with a lot of employees. I've been a regular getting my nails done for about 3 years now, and this salon is definitely a step up from the previous salon I was going to before I moved. Everyone who has helped me has been extremely kind. I usually just walk in because I go on week days when they are not busy. I will say that my experiences have differed depending on the nail tech available. I've had some awesome experiences and some just okay. My nails last ~2 weeks which is pretty standard if you use your hands a lot for work. They do work very quickly and there are no extras- like if you want your cuticles clipped that's a manicure add-on. I think that's pretty standard nowadays. Overall still the best nail salon I've been to and I will continue to visit. read more

I had a terrible experience here. My mom went here the other day and she had a good time, so I decided to give it a shot. The second I walked in everyone was VERY pushy. I explained that I don't really get my nails done so I just wanted a normal gel manicure the guy at the front was being very pushy on that I should get builder gel. I explained to him that is not something I wanted and he kept on pushing it. Then the girl that was going to do my nails was also pushing builder gel and I kept on refusing. They also have a lot of colors but the colors aren't even like the examples I wanted a light pink but the lady was telling me that it wouldn't match the examples. I decided to leave before they started any service, because I was just pretty put off for the fact that they did not listen the first time when I said I wasn't interested in getting builder gel and then the fact that they didn't even have the color I wanted. read more

They could've honored the nail powder dip instead they wanted me to accept something else that was not nail powder dip. It was some gel when I said I wanted to the nail powder dip. They refused my service and they asked me to leave. I think the nail powder dip takes longer and I wish we could've come to some type of agreement. They felt better. It would take too much time and they asked me to leave. I wish this could've gone better. I've been going here for awhile but the last 2 times I've had not good experiences. I went today and my lady rushed through my deluxe pedicure. She was super upset that I didn't want shellac this time so charged me extra just to remove my prior nail polish. We didn't get anything to drink, she hurt my feet using the metal thing and refused to do a clear top coat nail polish which I've always had done regardless of the type of nail polish. She left a couple of my toes not completely done and then rushed them so they didn't look good. I asked about her doing a clear top coat and she said no because I didn't get shellac. I just spent 100 for nails for my daughter and I and they look terrible. She charged an extra 10 on my daughter's mani/pedicure and I have no idea why. I told her I wasn't happy with how my toes looked and she shrugged and told me it's because I didn't get shellac and I told her we usually get drinks and she just shrugged. my daughter had an horrible experience at this location gentleman working on my caused her a lot of pain when removing her existing nails and also cut her during the process. The gentleman working on her nails also with repeatedly ignored what she actually wanted and kept pushing what he wanted to push the cost up. When my daughter informed him that her father did not want really long nails, the man working on her nails started calling me controlling. I would not recommend this place to anybody and I sure hope everything is up to cold and sterile since they cut my daughter and made her bleed. read more

I'm from Austin and I haven't found a nail place that I enjoy here in San Antonio so I still go back home to get my nails done. I came here to get them taken off, and they looked at me like I was crazy. Eventually someone came to take off my acrylics but they were having a bit of trouble so I guess they asked someone else to help them. When she came over they kept talking back and forth and they asked me where I got my nails done and I said Austin. I came here to get a new set of acrylic overlay. I normally go to another place but this one caught my eye as it's newer in the area. First, I was happy that everything seemed clean and organized; the variety of nail art displayed was better than most "run of the mill" places. I like nail art and different Asian styles so I felt like it would be a match. I got a simple clean chrome overlay and my nail shape wasn't too thick-- my nail tech made sure to shape them according to my nail bed and curvature. It wasn't sloppy or shoddily done like in other places where I feel I'm just a number. The only thing I am not used to is the steeper a la carte prices. However, since it was quality work, I'm satisfied and will be returning. read more

First and last time here . the lady who attempted to do my nails was not understanding me at all. I told her I wanted square toes and said I wanted shellac polish bjt acrylic first two toes. She said she did not have any shellac in the bade color I wanted. I then asked her if she had another color chart to pick from thats not shellac . she got mad and went in the break room and slammed the door and had the door girl come help me . Door girl was nicer but she was no help either . since she couldn't help me , she left without saying anything then another lady apeared and did my feet. she asked if I wanted water or anything to drink . I said I'd like a water . the older man at the front then brought me a small glass of water which looked like tap water to me , and a straw . I'm sure I got discriminated because I am biracial with black being one of my races . I also was not dressed as fancy as the white ladies next time me that they were being nice to but I work at a club where I average about $500-$1000 a night and am a great tipper . I know what it feels like to not be tipped for great service when I myself work for tips. You guys just lost a good customer . read more
