For these reasons, I'm increasing my rating from 1 to 3 stars. ___________________ During the sales and scheduling process, Bold Moving was wonderful. They were flexible and accommodating. They even said they would pack and move liquids if they were not "Flammable or combustible items (gasoline, kerosene, propane, etc.). Everything changed once they showed up. The packers were very nice but told us they could not pack any liquids. When I followed up with the salesperson they responded, "I thought it was only flammable liquids, but you could pack non flammables in a plastic bin not in cardboard boxes in case it leaks." The real challenge started when scheduling the delivery of our items after they were in storage for about 6 weeks. I emailed two weeks in advance asking for a specific delivery date. It was accepted as the first available delivery date, and I was told they would call the day before to confirm the delivery time. When I didn't receive that call, I followed up with them first via email then via phone. I was told they would put our stuff on a truck, and it would be delivered "sometime early next week" which was about 5 days later. It was clear they would not make the date requested but no one reached out to tell us. This was extremely frustrating since I had a business trip the following week. I followed up daily but could not get a confirmed delivery date. I canceled my business trip on a Monday when someone told me they would going to try and deliver our items that week. He was very clear that he would contact me when there was an update. Therefore, I stopped following up. On Wednesday, I received a phone call from the driver. They were 20 minutes away from the empty house I was not at. Due to the lack of communication in the delivery process, everything felt like a fire drill. I lost money on the business trip that had to be rescheduled and incurred additional costs extending our temporary housing. But, I was relieved to finally have our things. The delivery team was also nice, but many items were broken. The leg on one of our dressers was broken. They blamed the packers because the dresser was just wrapped with all the original items inside making it heavier. Some dressers were emptied but some were still full. I could here the contents of our nightstands rattling around inside. Although wardrobe boxes were used, none of our clothes were hung up - just thrown in the box with the hangers on them. Kitchen items were just thrown in boxes. Some of boxes weren't even properly labeled - just "K" for kitchen. Lastly, the delivery team left scuff marks all over the walls with deep dings in some places on the wall. This was my worst moving experience ever. I would never recommend Bold Moving & Storage.

I opted for the move-only service, and packed everything myself, with them disassembling and reassembling the beds. I highly recommend packing as much as possible in boxes, as it helps the movers work much faster (this applies to any moving company). I felt fully prepared, and the team delivered exactly what we agreed upon. The payment process was straightforward, and they were very communicative throughout. Used Moxie for a recent pack and move. Both crews were professional and efficient. Items were…read morepacked carefully and everything made it from point A to point B in tact. I have no gripes with the movers themselves. The lower rating is due to a few things. Biggest issue - During the packing portion of the move, their crews used a strong, elastic, workout type band to tie back the front gate. That would have been fine other than the fact that the band they used and how they placed it on the fence/gate pulled the gate beyond the limits of the hinge and broke the frame of the gate. Things happen. I wasn't too worried about it until Moxie told me it wasn't their responsibility to fix because it was an old gate that had been repaired previously. They said "This is part of having old fixtures at your house and we are not liable for such issues." So buyer beware. If you have an older home or belongings, they are not responsible for any damage, even if they are the ones that bend it until it breaks. If you want broken stuff and a lecture these are apparently your guys. These next two I was overlooking until the gate incident happened, but since I'm already here... The booking process is confusing. You call in to speak with a rep and then you need to fill out the paperwork yourself on their website. That wasn't mentioned as a next step on the call so I spent several days waiting for follow up from them. It wasn't until I followed up that I was made aware of this process. Finally, the crew mentioned that there were a few items left at the old house, but that it wasn't much. I said that was fine without seeing what was left since it was the end of the day - my mistake. There was quite a bit left, like multiple trips over several days to get everything out which was frustrating to deal with given our personal circumstances. So that's it. If you have a new house and all new stuff you're probably fine. Not sure what their definition of old is though, so proceed with caution. All in all, poor customer service with a side of condescension...chef's kiss.
