I would give 0 stars if I could…read more From the moment the crew arrived, it seemed like they had no interest in actually doing the job they were hired for. They moved extremely slowly, spent a significant amount of time standing around, and appeared completely disinterested in working. Before any work even began, one employee asked to use the bathroom, another had my husband sign paperwork, and then the entire crew went outside and informed us they needed to call a manager because they "might not be able to do the move." This was especially frustrating because we had clearly stated MULTIPLE TIMES before moving day that they were only moving furniture and packed boxes. Despite this, they repeatedly complained about "loose items" throughout the process, even after being told over and over that we were handling those items ourselves and only needed the furniture and boxes moved. We were told a manager would arrive in 15 minutes. Instead, we waited around 30 minutes while nothing got done. When the manager finally arrived, he moved just as slowly as the rest of the crew and immediately started focusing on the same "loose items" issue that had already been addressed numerous times. The situation became even more frustrating when the manager implied work would begin shortly, only for the story to suddenly change again to them being unable to do the move at all after he called another manager. What followed was more arguing about loose items rather than any effort to complete the job they were hired to perform. I have never seen or heard of a moving company refuse to move furniture and packed boxes when that is literally the service they were contracted to provide. The entire experience was unprofessional, disorganized, and a complete waste of our time. To make matters worse, we are still waiting on the refund that the owner stated we would receive. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable movers. *Edited to add - One of your guys claimed there was a litter box odor. Interestingly enough there are no animals. All we could smell when your crew entered the door was rank cigarettes which I'm sure most people don't want that smell being transferred to their belongings as second hand smoke is a health risk that literally can cause cancer. We watched the crew stand around and chain smoke while awaiting the manager so I'm sure the next persons belongings smelled lovely after that. Loose items were actively being taken care of as we told your crew several times that we were handing and we did. Your company failed to do its part and move the BOXES and FURNITURE that were EASILY accessible throughout the apartment. Looks like there's another review that had the same issues. Quit trying to blame each customer that had a negative experience with your company. You obviously have several issues to be sorted out and your pointing fingers at people paying you to do a job is not a good look.

We had used this company twice before when we changed residence and had no problems…read more This move was very different. I called and got a quote from Ms. Ricks. She asked me certain questions about number of rooms of furniture, types of furniture, etc. She told me 9 hours and she didn't think it would take that long. We moved many items by ourselves, clothes, lamps, boxes of odds and ends, etc. We also sold all of the furniture from one bedroom, so it was completely empty. When the crew arrived and started to work, I noticed they were not too well organized and apparently had not worked together before. I approached the crew supervisor and told him about my concern and he said not to worry, they would have everything moved by the end of the day. Well they didn't and had to come back the next day and worked several more hours to finish. They charged me for 14 hours plus their travel time to get from their place of business to my home, for both days. The home we moved into is in the same neighborhood, four blocks away from our former home. We also noticed that they had damaged a piece of patio furniture; a gas fire coffee table that has a value of around $3000. It is resin coated steel, and there are several chips of resin knocked out from mishandling. After they left, we looked around and noticed chunks of holes in the carpet on the stairs and in the upstairs loft. Someone had tried to press them down in an attempt to hide them. There are also scratchs on furniture as well as scuff marks on our leather sofa where they shoved and squeezed it through the door. When I called and complained, Mr. Ricks and the crew supervisor came to our home and looked at the damage. When they left, Mr. Ricks said he would be back in touch with us. When Mr. Ricks called, he said he was willing to patch the carpet and give us $700 for damages. We had researched and gotten information to repair the damages would cost well over $3000. I attempted to negotiate with him and he said that is all he would do. I asked him to give me the name of his insurance agent, and he said he didn't have any more time to talk to me because he "had and appointment downtown." I had to press him to finally get the name of his insurance agent. My wife and I did all of the work with the insurance companies. We found out that Nationwide is the broker and there are three other insurance carriers for the business. I contacted Mrs. Ricks and told her about what we have been through doing their responsibility of contacting all of their insurance companies to get compensation for what their workers did to our home and belongings. I then told her that we want to be reimbursed for all but nine hours that they charged us to move, which we believe is more than fair. She asked me why I did not call her when I saw that the workers were slow. I told her that I went to the crew supervisor and told him and he said they would be through in one day. She told me that she would talk to the other owner and call me back the next day, which she did not do. And now three days later, I have not heard from her.

For what would have been a 4.5 hours for my friend and me, with Sam's hustle and load placement expertise, we got the whole thing done in an hour and 20 minutes!
