The best decision I made during my pregnancy was hiring a doula. Rupa, Rashida and their team have been extremely informative, and guided me through every aspect of my pregnancy, in the most nurturing way! I would receive calls and texts from Rupa to check on how I'm doing, answer any questions I had and provided tips and suggestions on what to do next as my pregnancy progressed. We had a weekly check-in call, and really made me feel like I could ask anything at any time and they would respond with a lot of helpful information. She would also proactivly email my husband and I information on things we did not even think of asking. Their team provided their unbiased opinions on everything pregnancy related and allowed us formulate our own opinions and supported us the entire time with the choices we made. Their team of professionals really put my mind at ease. Nikki, their nutritionist made a meal plan for me to work with my gallbladder inflammation and low iron levels. She was also very helpful with teaching about breastfeeding basics. Steve hosted an infant CPR class and taught my husband and I the Infant Heimlich Maneuver. Tricia assisted my husband and I with all of our newborn-care questions. My husband and I had 2 in-office visits with Rupa where we both practiced pain-management techniques, and created a personalized birth-plan. Both Doulas Rupa and Rashida assisted throughout my labor contractions at home, and met us at the hospital. Although I had an emergency c-section, it was amazing to have the support of Rupa and Rashida while I was faced with that decision. Thank you OneHonestDoula for checking after my C-section. She offered at-home visits to assist with my C-section recovery and breastfeeding support. Rupa even helped me find a pediatrician in my area!They all went above and beyond throughout every aspect of my pregnancy. There are so many things I was unaware of when I got pregnant, and Rupa was extremely professional and kind throughout my whole pregnancy and post partum journey. I was able to be completely vulnerable and express all my concerns and hesitations about giving birth and taking care of a new born. I was very impressed with her background as a Nurse Practitioner, because she also provided additional support after my OBGYN appointments. My wife and I were looking for support when having our first child. Rupa and her team were exactly what we were looking for. From the moment we met with her, she made us both feel extremely comfortable and we knew before our first meeting was over that she was the doula for us. She provided so much information via text, emails, and calls, helping us make informed decisions on how we wanted to proceed with the birth of our first child. Her team is amazing as well! Rashida was always there for any questions we had and was in constant communication and always checking on us after all of our appointments. They were a call away when we had any questions and were extremely comforting and helpful when it came to managing early labor pains. When my wife was in labor, Rupa and Rashida were at the hospital in less than 30 minutes. They assisted with preparing us and making sure we knew exactly what the doctors were saying. It ended up being an emergency c-section and they were extremely reassuring and made sure we knew what the process would be and helped us mentally prepare. They were there to check on my wife and the baby after the birth and made sure to stay in constant contact while we were at the hospital. They even brought our baby a gift before we left the hospital. They even offered home visits to make sure my wife was healing properly and continue checking on our baby. 3 weeks after and they are still checking on us and offering support. One Honest Doula was the right choice and we are grateful for their support before, during, and after labor. read more

As first time mom, giving birth without your partner or family member on your side is one of the most difficult experience to go through ! When I get introduce with doulas Ginny and Roma, that feeling of loneliness was gone, they were an absolutely so supportive at the last month of my pregnancy. They provide me with specific stretches that greatly help me feel more comfortable and prepare for delivery. They share a wealth of helpful resources and walked me through my birth plan. They absolutely put my mind at ease with they knowledge, and professionalism! I was so grateful for they services. In particularly how they work with me in the delivery room was truly lifesaver. they truly came prepared with thoughtful items like calming scent and stress relief tool that made me more comfortable. Especially when it came to suggesting and recommendations had made significant labor progress. Likely prevent the need of C-section. I truly appreciate all the hard work this teams had done for me. It's hard to put into words how thankful I am for Rupa and her team at One Honest Birth Doula but I will try! Rupa and I clicked from the very beginning. We met early in pregnancy and she really helped prepare me mentally and physically for my unmedicated birth. She involved my partner a lot, copied him on every email and invited him to every class, which I truly appreciate because it is a team effort. I can't say enough wonderful things about Rupa, Rashida and their team! We hired them on recommendation from friends. We reside in N.Jersey. They came out to meet with us as soon as we signed on. We appreciated that they took time to do that before our prenatal appointment. They accommodated us by scheduling our lactation and lamaze class on the same day as our appointments. Their instructors are so knowledgable. When it came time to birth, everything went smoothly. My husband and I were guided until it was time to go to the hospital. Rupa and Rashida arrived a half hour after we were situated. As soon as they arrived...they consistently started positioning, motivating and calming me down.
