Our 20 year old builder grade furnace quit working in January! Our furnace journey started by calling OHH and explaining our very stressful and cold situation to Natalie. Natalie was so helpful and knowledgeable that we calmed down immediately. She knows her job and her people skills are fabulous. Thank you Natalie! We then received a picture of the technician, Tom, and a short bio. So nice to know ahead of time who is coming into our home. This practice of getting a picture and bio continued. Tom went over several options, we never felt high pressure sales. After reviewing our options Tom left us alone to discuss among ourselves. We made the decision to replace the hvac. Tom then helped us with low interest financing. Thank you, Tom. Then the next morning, Joe, the installers picture and bio was sent to us. Never have we ever had such a hard working and clean service person in our home. Thank you, Joe. Then finally a picture and bio of Doug the electrician was sent to us for smart home thermostat installation and he also spent some time helping us understand how to use this technology. Thank you Doug. This review seems to be getting long, but we want anyone reading this to know that this entire process was completed by dinner time the following day. I gave this company and it's selection of super professional employees five stars, but that does not seem like enough for all of them making what could have been a very stressful situation into a very comfortable and barely noticeable event. My opinion this company takes full advantage of the venerable people like me who is confined to a wheelchair. Jaun wanted to charge over $800.00 for a part that sells for $56.00 at Ferguson supply in Prescott. He said a $1000.00 air handler would cost $15,000.00 if the $800.00 control board did not fix the no A/C problem. Saying this with a straight face. I guess after taking advantage of the venerable individuals of Arizona you get good at it. Even though I did not let Jaun take advantage of me it's the intent. Service and their staff are fantastic. We originally had called them for an AC repair. They were one of the few that would come out that day. Unfortunately our AC was dying (original unit for house). The repair person made a temporary fix and luckily it lasted until our new AC arrived. They also gave me credit for the service call towards the purchase of a new unit. I ordered a new Daikin furnace and AC unit with a other brand humidifier. They installed everything and we found our furnace was leaking and had major issues so good call on my replacing it at the same time (it had been having issues too). As part of purchasing your unit with them, they give you a free year of their maintenance service plan. They send out electric, plumbing, AC and furnace people during the year (combined or separate). They are very thorough with one exception. Until this visit - 18 months after install - we found that they had never properly hooked up the humidifier. This tech caught it and now it is working great. One Hour made it right. If they hadn't made that mistake it would have been a 5 star review. I really do like them and am willing to forgive the one mistake. read more

One hour heating and air is pretty good. We joined their VIP so it makes life a lot easier. We have had amazing service with very informative techs that walk us through everything and explain everything. Only issue we have ever had...that really sucked btw! When one tech came out to do our annual service of the furnace he forgot to turn the gas back on. We aren't hvac specialists and had no clue. Cue first cold days of the season and a furnace that doesn't work..4 small children and a house in the low 60's. They sent a tech out the next day and he discovered it immediately and apologized profusely. How could I be mad at him? He was pretty irritated the other tech made such a dumb mistake...but don't we all make mistakes? Just sucked that we froze our butts off for 2 days when it shouldn't have happened. I would recommend them. They are usually thorough and very informative. Don't let this one persons mistake deter you. read more

Last year while I was visiting my parents AC went out. They had previously had it serviced before I came & they didn't understand how that could happen when someone was just out a few weeks prior. I did some searching on the internet to find a reliable and trustworthy company. We were blessed with Bryan Pasch! While my parents were working he came, did some testing & explained everything to me in such a way that I could explain it to my parents. He fixed the air conditioner so that it ended up working for the rest of the summer, but warned us that it was on his last leg. This year before the summer came my parents called to have them come out & replace the 20 year old unit. He brought Chad & Tyler & they upgraded my parents whole system. My parents called me thrilled with how they were treated & the unit they received. I am here the week after to check it all out & they are still so pleased with the service they received! The operational manager does not take ownership of a mistake the technician did on the hvac system. It is sad that this company does not treat their technicians well and send them out with little support and training . Customer service was very good, as they corrected a situation that we faced, regarding a mistake by their techician.

I had AT&T come out to install a smart thermostat into my home, the installer didn't know what he was doing and left us in the literal cold. As in my AC was running instead of heat, and it's 59 degrees in my house. One Hour came to our rescue and had our furnace back up and running in 30 minutes. Mike D. Was very pleasant, and easy to work with. The appointment was easy to make, and scheduling was convenient. I must also say, Wow! it only cost me $49.00 for a service call. I was expecting a large bill, and nearly fell over when he told me the total. I would totally use one hour again for furnace services, but hopefully I won't need to:-) we are strongly considering signing up for their monthly, preventative maintenance plan. Also, on a side note- if you were ever thinking of using AT&T for home automation....Don't, run... run fast. What a freaking nightmare from which your two year contract can't escape. read more

Our AC went out on a Sunday night during a 90.F+ stretch of heat. We called One Hour Monday morning and they fit us in before 3pm the same day. I had a very poor experience with One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning. Their technician was polite but very young and unsure around an older boiler. After calling someone to consult he decided two parts probably needed replaced for a total of around $700--and said that one of the parts wasn't in stock. Being Minnesota winter, I wasn't going to wait around an undefined period for heat to be restored. I called a second company and told them what I had been told needed replaced and they said they had the parts in stock so I had them come out. The technician from the second company (with 40 years experience working on boilers) had the heat back on very quickly and found only one inexpensive part in need of replacement, for a total around $160. read more

Please let me start by saying DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF!!!. We called them to service the AC unit at our rental property. When the tech arrived he determined the unit would need a AC capacitor and a hard start kit (roughly $35 in parts and 15-30 min max to install). The tech proceeded to call my wife and tell her he could get it running but the cost would be $680 unless she signed up for their VIP program in which case the price would drop to $557. Knowing that our tenants were without AC my wife said fine go ahead and fix it. When she called me I looked up what they were fixing and immediately called two other companies which quoted me $70 & $100. I then called one hr and expressed my frustration with the tech that took advantage of my wife and they offered to refund me $200 or have the tech go back and remove the parts. Considering their price was still 3.5 times that of my other quotes and the horrible experience I asked them to please just refund me and have the tech remove the parts. He showed up an hr later, removed the parts and then intentionally blew a fuse (according to the next tech that came out). The other Company showed up 30 min later, replaced the fuse and parts in 15 min, charged me $70 and I tipped the tech $30 for the great experience and expedited service. I WOULD NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS CALL THIS COMPANY AGAIN! PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO THE SAME!!! read more

I have purchased both a furnance and AC from One Hour Heating. For years, I have paid the monthly subscription fee in order to get 24x7 service. My 8 year old furance has went out 3 times in less than 8 weeks. Two of the three times I have called, I have been told their 24x7 service was busy. Tonight, furnance is out again. I called again. I was litterally told that, and I quote, "I should run my hair dryer to stay warm" and they will try and get to me in the next day or so. The monthly fee means nothing to this company. I also sent this to them so it is not a back stab. It is the the truth. I have a 30 year background in service and this company is a pure rip off. One would think for $200 per hour you would get a skilled technician in the area of expertise that you are requesting service.... Nope. I also received a basic quote for the service and talked about using Gastite line on what I wanted done. When the tech arrived with standard copper line I confronted him and he said that was not the case. This job was to run gas line from the main to a manifold, 1 Spare, 1 to the garage, and to 3 appliances. This job should have took maybe 3 hours with an experienced tech ( which the tech told me he normally does not do installs). This is not the tech's fault but a HUGE issue with management and/or pure incompetence mixed in with greed. Be careful people! read more

With the heat wave coming up this Memorial Day, we decided to use a tune-up coupon we got in the mail for $54 from One Hour Heating and Air. Our A/C works for the most part, had the line freeze up once. We schedule the appointment one week out. Appointment window was from 2-6, got a call after one saying they were running early. Tech showed up asked what was going on, said the A/C line froze up last week, but yesterday when shades were shut it the A/C kept the house cool. Was asked if I wanted to cancel the appointment. I said no you're out here, please check my pressure of refrigerant, last time it froze I was low and it worked for 2 years just fine after. I was going to get charged $49 either way just for them to show up. Before he even hook up the gauge he said I was low. Hooked up his gauges, said I was two pounds low and it would be $550 to fill it again but they could not guarantee anything but it would likely get me through the weekend. When I asked checking where the leak is coming from he said it was likely the coil that would run $1,500 and could not be done. The sales pitch for just filling it for now was they would give me $500 of credit when they had time to diagnose the next week. He was putting a lot of pressure on stating how busy they were, even though we had an appointment and he was there early. When I declined the ridiculous amount they wanted to fill my system, he wished me luck and gave me the advice to become a vampire for the weekend ahead and not let anyone open the door. I would not recommend based on the tactics that were thrown at me today. read more

We recently bought a new home and found out that the air conditioning was not working. We called One hour heating and AC because that was the number found on the equipment. The technicians were all helpful. They also informed us that the AC was under warranty from when it was originally purchased before we owned the house and so we ended up paying much less for repairs. There were some difficulties with detecting where the leak was coming from but the company kept sending people out at our request until the problem was solved at no extra cost due to a service contract that we were advised to buy which also saved us a lot of money in the long run. My normal HVAC guy was out of town for about a week, so I gave this company a call to look at my furnace at a rental property of mine in Cottage Grove, MN. I made the call around 9:00am and around 6:00pm Monday evening they had completed their assessment and informed me that my fixed speed blower motor needed to be replaced and it would cost me $800. I quickly googled the cost of a blower motor and found that the part runs about $150 and the 'average replacement time' was one hour. Needless to say, the quote sounded high so I told them I would need to call them back. I called my normal HVAC guy who informed me that the job should cost at most $300 but he couldn't fix it for 7 days when he got back into town... With tenants in the home and the temp expected to hit the 90's this weekend, I called another HVAC company in town. I spoke to the other company at 7:30am and by 8:50am he called me back to inform me that the blower motor had been replaced and my bill was $311.56. There is absolutely no way I can be convinced that this company is honest or ethical. They attempted to take advantage of the fact that I am a dislocated owner and their quoted price was more than double the cost of 2 other bidders. Buyer Beware!! read more
