On Friday evening they cancelled my visit for Saturday because it rained a bit more than usual on Friday. The doctor clearly doesn't want to go to the office in bad weather, so what that you are sick. It is frankly ridiculous considering this is supposed to be a premium service. The person informing me of the cancellation didn't offer any replacement slots, just said I can book another one or to tell them "what time I am interested in coming". How about the same time I had a visit booked? Hilariously bad customer service. read more

Needed a lab/blood test for upcoming surgery, was told on Sunday, the Cobble Hill location opens at 8am. Woke up at 6, drove 1/2 hour to be there at 8....No technician to draw blood. Total waste of my time. At Union Street now...8:30 (site says lab opens at 8) no technician until 10:30. I think perhaps they are having a staffing problem. Not good for business...... read more

They always cancel or move your appointment. Most of the time they don't even tell you or give you a heads up. They just send you a message saying your appointment has been moved. They also NEVER have anything available at this location. You have to book through the app, and 90% of the time, the app locks you out, leading you to calling customer service to make a new password for you. In the year I'd been there I was only able to see the doctor twice in person and once online. I don't recommend this place or once medical in general. So dissatisfied and bummed I wasted 200$ for a fucking membership fee. read more

I have been a One Medical patient for 7+ years and I love it. The offices are modern and beautiful. Prior to joining One Medical, I loathed going to the doctor's office because as soon as I walked in I would feel sick (not a fan of hospital smell like most people). Given how hectic my work schedule is, I appreciate that the appointment time is respected and each patient is seen at their scheduled time. The ease of requesting prescription renewal and the ability to swipe through your medical history through the app is just incredible. Now moving on to this specific location. As all One Medical offices, it is very clean and have designated markers to maintain social distance. Dr. Burke is really friendly and attentive. read more

IMPOSSIBLE to call my doctor's office directly and speak to a human receptionist or nurse. All calls go through a woefully understaffed call center somewhere (California?). Wait times just to speak to someone at Amazon/One Medical, so you can get a message to the doctor, are ridiculous, and if you have an urgent issue, you'll have to go to an emergency room. The doctor I've seen there is good, but he's part of an awful system. read more

This is the second One Medical location I've been to, and I'm overall really happy with this service as a medical provider and resource. Both physicians I saw were extremely thorough and professional, but still quite friendly. The staff at the front desk is quick and efficient, the office is clean and comfortable. It's worth noting that for this location, both office and lab hours are kind of limited (no weekend availability, like I've seen at other One Medical locations.) This can be tricky since they don't take appointments for labs. That's just their operation, though, soooo... take it or leave it! The only real trouble with this location is that it's really hot. Like, really. I'm not sure if the AC is broken or what, but it's stuffy which is super uncomfortable when it's already 80 degrees out. read more

OneMedical is terribly inconvenient - and extremely careless. I asked for a referral several times before making an appointment with a specialist. First, they failed to send it over. Next, they sent the incorrect referral. I was unable to see the specialist upon arrival, as it's impossible to get anyone from the doctor's office on the line. Their generic call line has a wait of over an hour each time you call, and response time in the app typically takes 24 hours. Because if this mistake and inability to produce a correct referral, I was unable to see the specialist, which was needed to treat a serious medical condition. Do not pay extra for this "concierge service," as you're treated MUCH better by a standard medical practice. read more

I previously had a 5 star review that I'm downgrading to a 1 star review. Since they've been acquired by Mount Sinai, the One Medical practices have gone down the drain. When you call, the route your to a calling center that's outsourced, so to speak with someone at your local practice is nearly impossible. Call wait time regularly exceeds 60 minutes. Message response times is well over 7 days. And more recently, they are very prescription happy. It's really a shame to see what's happened and the membership fee is no longer worth it. read more

Buckle up, this is a long one. I'll preface this by saying I was a member at One Medical in DC for years and have only good things to say about those locations. No idea what's going on at the Park Slope location, but it's a mess and *not* worth the membership fee. To breakdown the multitude of issues I had over a nine-ish month period, starting with least egregious to most: 1. Primary card doctors leaving with no notice provided to patients. This happened twice, and I didn't find out until I called to make an appointment. One Medical claimed that they notify patients when this happens, my experience with this, two times in less than six months, is that they do not. Normally, this is fine. In both of these instances I was under a pretty intense drug regimen that needed close follow up and regular liver function check ups by my doctor. Wouldn't have found out my doctor who was monitoring this course of treatment left if I hadn't wondered why they hadn't reached out to follow up, which was when I learned they'd left. 2. Either willfully obtuse or overworked providers. After my second primary care doctor left, I needed an urgent appointment due to some acute and really unpleasant pain I was experiencing (won't delve into details). When I got to my appointment, the doctor had no idea what I was there for. She asked me to start undressing and get on the table because she thought I was there for a pap; fine, simple mistake. I explained to her what I was actually there for (acute pain), and she immediately started rattling off what it could be and started prepping me to do an exam. She did not once ask me where the pain was. When I asked if she'd like to know, she said "Oh yeah, sure," and when I explained, turns out that radically changed what she thought it could be. It's extremely concerning to me that I had to ask my doctor if they would like to know where I'm experiencing pain; isn't that like, the first thing your doctor should do? 3. Lack of follow up by doctors: Above doctor eventually referred me for an ultrasound. I went for said ultrasound. Ultrasound office tells me they'll send the results same day to One Medical. Now, this wasn't all One Medical's fault because, as I write two weeks later, they still don't have the results for the ultrasound from Mt. Sinai, so not totally their fault. What IS their fault is the utter lack of follow up on their part. After crickets from the doctor I mentioned earlier for nearly two weeks (the whole time let's recall, I'm in pain), I finally call OM to follow up. This takes me to my final point: 4. Front desk staff that does. not. give. a. you know what. This critique is specifically for Ross. If their job is that miserable, and they can't summon an ounce of a you-know-what to give for patients, he should frankly move on. I called OM to a). express my disappointment at my experience with my doctor, and b). ask for follow up on my ultrasound results. Besides having an attitude the entire time, it seemed like my questions and concerns were a real inconvenience to whatever better things Ross had to do that day. He said he would open a file and take down some notes on the concerns I raised about the doctor and someone would follow up with me; I'm sure you'll be shocked to learn that never happened. I then asked him what needed to happen to get my ultrasound results to the doctor so I could figure out what was the cause of the pain I'm in; I asked if I should call Mount Sinai and ask them for a status update, and his response was "Well, you can if you want." Full stop. No alternatives offered, no action that One Medical would take to get the results and get my doctor to follow up. Just, "you can if you want." That is not how to speak to patients, and it's not how you run a business. Why am I paying for "concierge medicine" to get an attitude from your front desk staff, with no solutions proposed to resolve the issue at hand. I had to *forcefully* explain why this was unacceptable for him to come up with a course of action and SPOILER none of what he said would happen has happened. He left me another voicemail that day saying they followed up with Mt. Sinai and someone from OM would get in touch with me. One week later I called and cancelled my membership and asked for my lab results (they didn't know what I was talking about when I asked for the lab results, which was *so* reassuring) Oh and I'm still in pain by the way. TL;DR: This location is horrendous, the best I can say is I got my full money back. I recommend checking out Tia if you're in the market for an alternative to One Medical and based in NY. read more

This is not a review on the doctors. This review is based on the inability to get an appointment for annual wellness visits. For months, I have regularly checked the app, I've called and left messages and even written an email asking for assistance with booking an appointment. One Medical bills itself as having same or next day visits available. This has not been the case. I am now going to have to see out a PCP from outside of OneMedical. This is disappointing given the fee for membership. read more

This Park Slope location is anything BUT a convenience. I had to find a separate pediatrician for both my kids because they are constantly changing pediatricians hear and had very limited appointments. I have depended on CVS for COVID and FLU vaccines for myself because they also don't have at this location. I pay an annual fee and get better care at CVS.......something is off with that statement. Should close this location if they can't manage it. I have been to other locations and not seen these issues. read more

They're worth ten stars so maybe I'll rate them again. I've been a One Med patient for about eight years. Last week they were unbelievable! They've always been great but this time they were above and beyond. I had a medical emergency last week. The local volunteer ambulance wanted to take me to the ER but who wants to go to the hospital while COVID is around. We got One Med on the phone. Angela was the NP on call. She gave me advice and said I could stay home. She called back twice that day to make sure I was OK. She also left instructions for the next shift to call me, which they did. Later that night I had another episode. This time we got Brian on the phone. He was patient and caring and got my daughter, a physician, on the phone to consult with. Carrie Bowler, DO, my primary provider called me that evening, after her shift, and again the next day, which was her day off. The next morning Angela called me again. They kept me out of the hospital. Every time I called I spoke to someone on the Med Team within just a few minutes. They are professional, super competent, caring, and loving. They are, without a doubt, the best primary care group on the planet. I'm buying my son a One Med membership for his birthday! read more

Call me crazy but ever since I started seeing Carrie Bowler at One Medical's Park Slope office, I actually look forward to going to the doctor. She is seriously the most present, thoughtful, warm health care provider I have seen in years. I love that I can schedule appointments easily through their app, and that I can follow up with Carrie by email (and actually get a prompt response) if I forgot to have a form filled out or have a follow up question. On top of all that, the office is beautifully designed, not like you'll ever have to sit in the waiting room very long to soak it in. I'm expecting my first child, and was so thrilled to find this location now includes pediatrics as well. I feel so happy knowing my kid will get the same quality medical care that I've been lucky to have here. read more

Dr. Carrie Bowler and her colleagues at One Medical are terrific. Dr. Bowler is great with me, my partner, and our almost 9 year old. She's thorough, perceptive, and dare I say--empowering. I have relied on her in times of great personal and medical stress and anxiety, as one rarely can in NYC in any personal/professional context--and she's just great. I trust her judgment and also see that she walks the walk. Dr. Berk is also down to earth, funny, and good. The Park Slope One Medical has a homey, progressive vibe and it's a place you can rely on to look out for your medical needs, but also to see you as a person. My queer/multiracial family feels at home here. Six stars. read more

I went here during COVID for a referral to a specialist and was incredibly impressed. They were extremely prompt and professional, and it was easy to see a doctor and get the information I needed. They're doing a great job keeping everything clean and sterile during the pandemic too. I'll definitely go back there as needed for other issues. read more

I like Doctor I saw--Dr. Charles Berk in Park Slope. He is good. But, here are my complaints. 1. They office accidently billed me for immunizations I did not receive. Resolving this has used up a lot of my time. It is still not resolved. 2. At the time I made the appointment, I expect to be told if a Dr. is no longer in my insurance plan--in advance of the visit. Here, I was only told this after the office visit was completed and I was paying. Again, pretty poor administration. 3. They charge an annual membership fee. I don't love that but in today's day and age, that may be necessary for a general practitioner to survive. But that fee seems ironically high given the fact that they don't seem to have their customer service ducks in a row-see points 1 and 2. read more

Very disappointed by my brief experience with One Medical. I signed up for the service on the advice of a couple friends and review of online recommendations. However, after signing up and trying to schedule a physical at their Park Slope office, which is closest to me, I found that there was no availability going forward for the next 2.5 months despite it stating online that their providers are accepting new patients. I called their central office line and was told that the Park Slope office books up quickly, that they saw no open appointments for them and I should look for openings at other locations. When I then decided to cancel my membership and called the membership line that person did not seem to care or even question why I was canceling after having just signed up and quickly issued a refund without delving into it further. With so many available appointments in basically all the Manhattan locations I would think they could get more providers at the one office that doesn't seem to be able to accommodate patients. read more

A medical practice where you are treated like a human being who matters, by all the providers and all the support staff (and my family of 4 have been members for years and have spoken to so many different people). The wait time is short, the doctors both ask questions and listen to your concerns and are up to date in the newest research. They tell you your options and the pros and cons and help you weigh decisions, from as small as antibiotics now or in a couple of days if it does not improve, to the timing of vaccines. A big big big shout out to their pediatric practice - its amazing. And to Dr. Carrie Bowler, she is incredible. read more

First I want to say that Dr. Berk is an excellent, caring and thorough physician. He is not a doctor who prescribes and forgets, but is willing to put in the work of determining the cause of a symptom and the best treatment. He was he primary care physician for my family for 23 years! However, One Medical has recently stopped taking our insurance, GHI/Emblem Health. So my family, and thousands of other city employees (100's of thousands?) are excluded from this city-wide practice. One top of that they have never taken the insurance of US Military members. This was the worst doctor I have ever been to. She LITERALLY told me she didn't have time to listen to all my symptoms and that we would just start with some bloodwork and brushed off all my concerns. She didn't care to learn about my history or try to figure out what was going on. I was told she would call me to go over the bloodwork and tell me what the next step would be to find out what was wrong with me. I didn't get a phone call. I got an email that just said my bloodwork came back normal. No follow up call, no effort to reach out and suggest other tests or referrals to find out what was wrong with me. Horrible experience with someone who had no compassion. Someone like this shouldn't work in medicine. I have since seen other doctors elsewhere and have figured out that I have fibromyalgia and a b12 deficiency as well as several food allergies. read more

I get their great service about having a nice office and seeing you on time, yea, those are operational cost, great, but I'm here to see the doc, not the fine decor. So this time when I called and try to present my case, I've been flat out refused for a waiver, which is so much to say for their membership fee: "If you don't have the financial means to pay the Annual Membership Fee and would like to become a member of One Medical, please call any of our offices to learn about your options." The office is very clean and bright. I love that all of my visits occur at the exact time of the appointment, and the doctors and receptionists are very nice and helpful. I have had some issues with billing issues that I'm still having to sort out (visits were considered out of network, but should have been in-network for my insurance plan). Worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY on the fee. My time is worth the $200 annually. The service is second to none, they are always pleasant and accommodating. The flexibility to go to another office is awesome. I love my primary but they don't accept pediatric patients so we are taking them to Park Slope. So far a HUGE improvement over Tribeca Pediatrics which has been on the decline for the past 8 years since we started going there. read more

I have seen Dr Berk twice and each time received thorough and thoughtful attention and diagnosis. I was unhappy about the $200 annual fee initially, but though I loved my previous GP, I would have to wait 2 - 3 weeks for an appointment or be shunted off to another doctor in the practice if I didn't want to wait. With One Medical I can get a next-day appointment with a doctor who knows me, and that makes the fee worth it. read more

This totally changed my medical experience in the US. It's like being upgraded to first class in a transatlantic flight. A hard experience becomes pleasant. The offices are nicely decorated, with water, tea, computers, comfortable armchairs, full appointed bathrooms and more important, super nice people. Appointments start on time. Doctors are some of the nicest I've met and they follow up with you over the email very promptly. My doctor Carrie Bowler is the very best you can ask but precisely because of that she is also the busiest. There are other doctors you can book same day in this or other locations but personally I like Carrie so much that when she moved from Manhattan to Brooklyn so did I for my appointments, although I still live in Manhattan. I also changed insurance to keep ONE. Going to the doctor can be a very painful experience anywhere else but not here. To me, it absolutely worth the $200 dollars a year. read more
