Once we got out to the middle of the sound, it was NON STOP. There were four of us, and we must have reeled in at least 20 bluefish each. Didn't get any stripers, they are pretty outnumbered. The captain and mate do most of the work, all you really have to do is reel the fish in. I think you can take turns driving or preparing bait if you want. $550 for a half day (5 hours or so). Four of us was perfect. Bring beer, snacks, etc! Boat was great too, good condition, and the captain and mate know there stuff. Highly recommended!

My family has been members here for years and years…read more This marina is rather large being that is accommodates power boats and sail boats, all ranging in sizes. wandering around the docks you will see jet skis and massive yachts. There is an outdoor pool, pavilion, and large jungle gym for kids. The pavilion can be reserved for parties and social events. The facilities are clean as well. The restrooms/showers are accessed by codes, keeping them restricted to club members, as well as clean. There also is a restaurant in the marina. We have not been there as there are several amazing restaurants or the area, or we just use the grills. This is a good marina for families as it is clean, well maintained, has activities to participate in, and amenities for everyone.

He is an excellent driver, both navigating out of the marina and trying to throw teenagers off the inner tube. The boat was immaculate, and had plenty of room for us to lounge, drink, and dance. The sound system was amazing. The sail was beautiful. And most importantly, I cannot say enough about our captain JR. He was friendly, fun, and did everything in his power to make sure we had a blast. Had a parking lot with lots of space and the marina also had ice (great when you have a cooler/in need of ice for drinks). TIP: Captain Steve was really kind in offering to help us with our cooler, and offered to bring a cart/wagon to put the cooler on to make it easier to bring on the walk to where the boat is docked. *Captain Steve: Not only was he informative about the areas, but he was also a pleasure to have a conversation with. Captain Hagen's vintage wooden vessel was comfortable and accommodating in all ways for our party of six old friends, but the revelation was the skipper's detailed knowledge of north haven, where we've had a home for many years. He shared what he knew about the waters and coastline features both there and along Shelter Island... in waters we'd sailed past many times in our own old cutter without the benefit of a great story teller's rich narratives. There are creeks and inlets and beaches we'll want to explore again, thanks to a delightful summer evening cruise with just the right captain on just the right vessel for the job.
