I am not sure what happened with the other customer who reviewed this company but I had nothing but a great experience with One Planet Solar. I retired here from California and I had called a couple other companies and they didn't want to come out and only relied on Google Earth which isn't accurate since I cut trees around my house. Matt spent probably 30 mins on the phone before sending two techs to do a thorough site analysis. He then put together a very detailed proposal with multiple sizes to choose from. We ended up going with a system that will produce 50% of our homes usage but Matt designed it for expansion so we will probably keep adding to it until we are 100% from the sun. One Planet Solar handled everything including the paperwork with the utility company to get the special meter installed. Lastly, I am a veteran and I really appreciated Matt's dedication to hiring other vets and folks in the guard and reserves. I am going to try and post this review again since it didn't show up. We bought a system from another solar company that said they were local but found out they really were based in south Louisiana and just used an address in Shreveport. I quickly found out I made a mistake. The local office basically has sales people and no one really qualified in solar. After having one problem after another, I finally called Matt at One Planet Solar. He sent his lead tech and they did a complete review of the system and found a couple mistakes that shouldn't have been made. I have continued to use One Planet Solar to service my system and my wife and I decided to expand our system before the federal tax credits lower in 2021 and will definitely use them for the work! I contracted with Matthew Allen Roberts, owner of One Planet Solar in Stonewall, LA in July, 2018 for a 56kW solar installation on my rural, all electric farm house. I was told it would be completed by the end of August, 2018. The plan was to go off grid. HUGE MISTAKE!! $48,000 later, I had to get a SWEPCO hookup (in December 2018) so I could get my house finished and my furniture delivered. 14 months later, he has not completed the job. I found out he was arrested for CONSUMER FRAUD in 2017. He was arrested AGAIN this past July for CONSUMER FRAUD - see the KSLA TV (Shreveport) news report. First of all, Matt is NOTHING like the other reviews on here. Yes, he runs a small operation so he might take longer than most to get back to you but his crew does a great job. I clicked on one of those Facebook ads and got 2 other quotes and Matt's price was way lower than the out of town folks. So far it's worked great and we just had him add the battery backup after the June storms knocked our power out for 3 LONG days! Go local! read more
