It's just not good Ayce looked like a great time, so I got seated and informed the waiter I'd like to do that. She let me know that ayce is for parties of two or more. They did allow me to do ayce but I wished I just went to kpot. Seasoned meats were not well seasoned. The meats smelled gamey and were tough to chew. The scissors aren't sharp and didn't work. The wait staff did not turn on my grill so I was confused for a while. Banchan were under seasoned. Blah.

Food was amazing and [[HIGHLIGHT]]atmosphere is top notch[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], if you're a night owl and get the munchies, this spot is for you! Great service and very nice owner!

been coming to One Pocha for years now, i have great memories here with my friends. KBBQ is always gonna be a bit pricey but worth it. It's delicious y'all, you gotta prepare yourself to eat so you get your moneys worth. The service could be a little better, the couple times we went, the servers can be a little neglectful when you need something or trying to call them over. The soju is overpriced unfortunately... None of the less, i will still always come back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The karaoke rooms are so fun too btw![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Don't forget about that!

Okay, YUM! My sister took us to this Korean BBQ spot and I loved it! We all opted for the all-you-can basic option - but there was a premium option that came with three more meat options. First, the sides that come with everything were delicious; while I am not a huge kimchi fan, I did enjoy the radishes, potatoes, broccoli, and onions. Then, we were able to select up to three meats at a time - and they brought out HUGE portions. I honestly wish they were a bit smaller, so that we could try more of the other meat options (we were a bit scared off my the $20 "excessive leftover" charge listed on the menu). Everything also comes with rice, lettuce and a side salad. Overall, delicious, decently priced and attentive service!

Went in to order the yukgaeyang and tofu seafood stews and they were bland and there was no brisket found! They also claimed the yukgaeyang had brisket but there was nothing. Also ordered corn cheese and it was just mayo and cheese.. no flavor. Bad food is one thing but the service was bad. Waitresses got upset that we did not like the food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also there was a basket with cabbage soaking on the floor in an open space right next to their restroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Major health violations going on.. terrible!

Great AYCE BBQ joint. Not that big inside, as such we opted to hangout at the bar and down some soju while we waited for our table. It's dimly lit, I think it's that way to make the place appear intimate, and it is that way if your are focused on your own group and the cookery that was about to begin. We sat down, and our server asked us how we wanted to proceed - basic or premium! We were there to go big! She got us our side dishes, rice, waters, and kept the kimchi coming. The premium only allows for 2 galbi strips per person so keep that in mind if you were just going for the galbi. On this trip we tried the galbi, the baby octopus, and the sam-gyeop-sal (pork belly). It was all good, but I have had thicker pork belly strips. Also, I feel like you can get a bigger selection at other places (i.e. Two Pocha, etc.). That said we didn't stop ordering... and unlike the other Pocha place, I didn't feel like we were on the clock. Our sever was great...she kept the grill changes fluid, and kept checking in on us. We ordered a fantastic Yuk-gae-jang stew to mix things up. It was all good, but it took a minute to get out to us. The spicy pork bulgogi was good, and the brisket was a good meat to order if you want things to cook fast. I ate to my stomach's fill, and then some. Would I come back? If some friends are in the area are interested in AYCE Korean bbq, this place would rank in the top 5...especially since it's the closest. The shaky thing is because of its size, you might have to wait. If you don't mind the wait, they do have a bar and plenty of K-Pop. I've waited longer in the NCR. Definitely consider this spot...especially if you're in the mood for norebang...which they have next door. Pro tip: Be ready with your next order of meats so they can keep the meats coming. We went with a Yuk-gae-jang to keep us busy, but it didn't come out fast...just keep that in mind.

Im happy to see that there are a few Korean BBQ spots open up in San Antonio and I like that this spot is opened up really late. I picked up a friend around 9pm from the airport and took them here. We had a good time and it was fun, we got the basic unlimited KBBQ. The overall quality was okay. My favorite was the spicy chicken but which normally I don't order chicken. The sides were also just okay. The service was good they changed the grill a few times. It's really easy to spilt the bill as you have to get up and pay at the register.

    Ambient was not for me.

I would not recommend this place for Korean BBQ. I would speak highly of the customer service because they are a great staff. But the food and ambiance, No! Let me tell you why. Each person no matter how many in the party pays at least $28.00 plus each for just the regular meat products. Not much of a choice of meats. The condiments are just okay. The ambience reminds me of a karaoke style dive bar with a dark and sleazy feel. There are many other Korean BBQ that may cost more but also worth your experience.

If this was in Houston where I am from, it would probably be three stars but considering the limitations in San Antonio, I gave it a 4. We didn't get the AYCE option because my younger kids wanted to eat several other options, so we just did a-la-carte. Food is good enough it you are in San Antonio and really craving Korean BBQ. It is small and we did have to wait a little bit for a table. I looks like it can get poppin' on weekends since it has a bar and karaoke stage! So plan accordingly!

Good spot for karaoke, they only do 2 hour reservations on the weekends. You can order food and drinks in the room as well as in the restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Location and service are so so but the food is good and the private rooms are so fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

He was excellent! It was our first time there and he was great about explaining how everything went and gave us good tips on ordering. He checked on us throughout the meal, never hovering but always right there when we needed him. The staff and the Kpot bear came around with a birthday song and dessert for my husband which was a nice touch. The food is excellent! I feel like you can't go wrong no matter what you order. All of the meats were well marinated and easy to cook. Spicy pork belly was my favorite. The grill is set at a temperature where you won't burn anything. It all came out delicious! 10/10 food, experience and service. We will definitely be back.

But my son, bless his heart, wasn't exposed to Officer Whats-his-face explaining to a class of fifth graders how deviously addictive substances like heroin, crack, and hot pot can be. So my kid has had a habit for about three or four years now. Chinese hot-pot barely tempts me these days; I don't need a numb mouth like that. Mongolian...that level of sodium was fine in my twenties, I guess. Shabu proper - served with ponzu and sesame sauce by some fella wearing a headband starts to get tempting. But I'm doing well this year, I've only flown to LA's Japantown for my fix once. And honestly, this is not that anyway. Most of these restaurants, where they expect me to boil my own dinner, are pretty easy to wean off of. I mean, seriously, how lazy can a restaurant owner be. Here's some raw meat, cook it yourself, folks? Unfortunately, Wild Japanese's offering is more akin to the most delicious of the hot pots. Singaporean or Malaysian style, with a gigantic assortment of sauces and a flavorful selection of broths, and the best soup you've ever had waiting for you at the end of your meal. And I hope that helps explain why when we go two weeks without a visit, my son starts to get really antsy and sees bugs crawling under his skin, just like Officer What's-His-Face said he would. I think originally you could get just not-shabu; nowadays, they make you pair the hot pot with some inferior food. We've tried the sushi a few times. That was a huge mistake. The Korean BBQ pairs well, it's just a lot of effort, and not a lot of soup, so we grill a token steak or two but otherwise stick to not-shabu. Anyway, that's a short entomology of hot pots throughout the world, excluding fondue, according to my tummy. I could probably stop anytime if I really wanted. Eating this delicious not-shabu. But for my son's sake, I go.

First and foremost, I just want to admit that I am embarrassed that I even brought friends to this…read morerestaurant for the first time after the experience that we had tonight. I rarely give a one star let alone less than three star reviews to any restaurants unless it's an absolute catastrophe and low and behold, if I could give less than one star I would do so. I don't even know where to begin so I'll try to start from the beginning we get sat down. We get our drinks and normally they would turn on the grill to preheat it so that it's ready to cook the food that did not happen. We ordered our first round of meats to be cooked. It took roughly 10 minutes for those to come out and our server nonchalantly decided to just remark with oh they haven't brought your food yet. Let me go look into that. See what they're doing in the back. This was the start of excuse. After excuse from our server we will call him T the entire evening. After that, additional 10 minutes we had to ask for a girl to get turned on to which it never properly got heated so our food did not cook initially when we asked about the vegetables that come to the table with every single Korean barbecue or Japanese barbecue place you ever go to the response was not. I'm sorry I forgot it was. I don't know why they're changing the menu, but it's not on there anymore to which t proceeded to just hand us his iPad and let us select what we wanted instead of going over the options with us We then had to ask for scissors, which is also customary at this type of restaurant to cut your Cooks food. His response to that was oh let me go. Check with the dishwashers are done, washing them another excuse with no apology for his mistake once those came brought by another person, we were able to finally be in eating our food. We also had to ask for the spray oil to prevent the grills from sticking when we asked if the temperature on the grill could be turned up because it wasn't heating properly. He had no response for us. It took another lady to come up and offer us a different type of grill, which ultimately was a better choice because we were able to cook our When we asked about other options on the menu, he suggested a pork dish that he called, savory and sweet once the meat came, we noticed a very strong spicy smell to the meat and a deep red color which always indicates spice. He then proclaimed that he has never tried it here, and unless the chefs were doing something crazy in the back because they like to play with recipes, he wasn't sure if it was actually spicy or not not only is that just poor service but it's ultimately a dangerous proposition because if somebody happened to have a sensitivity to spicy food that could've been extremely bad outcome All of the food tonight was extremely bland. Everything tasted the same from the filet mignon to the scallops to the steaks and everything in between except for that spicy pork everything tasted exactly the same bland and quite frankly rather disgusting. When it came time for the Bill both parties notice that there was an up charge on drinks that we were not told about and additional beverages were ordered and charged before on our bill that we decided it was not even worth arguing about I personally have been to this restaurant three different times, and if you look at my previous reviews, I even gave them a five star rating that is not the case anymore. The quality has diminished. The food itself has gotten worse. The service was appalling and I will never come back to this restaurant again if you're looking for a good Japanese barbecue place look elsewhere than Jpot if anything they should change their name to F pot because that's the grade that they deserve a big fat F. Avoid it all cost do yourself a favor save yourself the money and go eat elsewhere. There are other restaurants like Chili's P Terry's and even Costco in the same parking lot that you'll get better food from if you need to feed your family. It's quite sad because this was a gym in the area and now it is a piece of crap spray painted gold Never again j pot never again The only the only positives would be the ambience as it is a fun environment. It is easy to hang out and have a good time although our table seem to be the only one that had a burnt out light so we had to use our flashlights to properly see if our food was being cooked all the way through honestly, the only thing that was worth a five star review was our sodas because those are made outside of this establishment and you can't F those up

Let's get to Sichuan Garden. I ordered from here because they had some "non- standard" offerings. I lived in Taiwan a while back and upon return to the US never acquired a taste for the supposedly authentic Americanized dishes. I ordered stir fried pork tripe and pork intestines in spicy chili sauce. I got a complimentary side of fried rice with each of them. I also ordered beef lomein for my son and 4 eggrolls. I tasted the lomein, and it was just okay. I have definitely had better. The egg rolls were "delivery soggy" but tasted fantastic. Can't complain there. The trip and intestine dishes were both delicious. I could eat them every day for the rest of my life and be satisfied. The fried rice, though, was awful. I used it the next day to make a much more improved version at home. All in all, I like the food from Sichuan Garden. I am anxious to go there and dine in.
