This is an unsolicited recommendation for Docteroff Medical Billing. I have personally known…read moreHarriet for decades and used the billing services for about a decade. I have known several physicians personally who have used her since the late 1980s and they raved about her services so much I transferred my billing to her. Perhaps the only mistake I made about all of this was my failure not to use her earlier in the 1980s. The billing service is accurate and precise because she herself is that way, everything is done meticulously, unpaid or difficult insurance questions are handled by Harriet, as if Harriet were Sherlock Holmes making certain that everything unknown is found and all payments are made. She not only takes care of the billing she contacts insurance companies for benefits and patients; she looks up information so that correct codes can be billed out and provides me with significant information that I did not know in my psychological practice and with changing codes. I strongly recommend her services above anyone else's services. Harriet and all her employees are extremely professional, any question my office manager may have for Harriet is promptly answered the same day. Harriet is honest, caring, trustworthy and detailed nothing slips by her.

Absolutely a scam. Sent me a bill at the same time I am receiving the *real* bill from the hospital…read moreI visited. Attached photos are of the real bill and the scam bill, with my identifying information censored. As seen here, PaymentsMD is attempting to charge me WAY more than the actual hospital is. They are also attempting to charge me for a service I did not receive - "Surgery (Nervous System)," which they didn't even try to make look realistic with its price. Looking up the business they ask to make the check payable to, it is a real business, BUT PaymentsMD has it addressed to the wrong state - it is a business in Tennessee, but the address PaymentsMD has given is in Maine. Don't pay these people anything. ETA: While sharing this with friends, they also pointed out the real bill's statement date of Oct 2 and due date of Oct 16, while PaymentsMD shows it as "past due" on Oct 2 and tried to make it more threatening by printing it in red.

After paying the majority of the bill, my mom suggested I contact my insurance company. Thanks to BCBS, they contacted Payments MD and made sure they updated the insurance and Payment MD was to refund me my money. It has been almost 6 months, and I have yet to receive my refund. Whenever I call, they say it can take up to 6 months. First of all, why does it take up to 6 months to get a refund, and secondly, if the insurance company has paid the bill, why can't I get my refund. My next step is to contact the insurance commissioner for fraud. Please be aware of this company! If I could give them zero stars, I would.

Paid over $40 and got home to realize the initials were in the wrong place. While I appreciated having the service and available witnesses I'm not happy about the lack of the notaries attention to the document. I will continue to use their shipping services but will find another place to notarize.

These were all contractor's engaged by Wendy that she was responsible for overseeing. But the worst was the $15,000 wall unit that was built in my bedroom where I stressed the importance of my desk area. There was not a single outlet available on that wall to plug in anything so they had to chop up the wall unit so that I could plug in my computer. Wendy was nowhere to be found. While she responded to my emails and texts, she never came back over to the apartment once I arrived to assist in getting any of this resolved. In addition, she attempted to bill me for hours spent looking at furniture before consulting with me. Her "design product" consisted of a bunch of screenshots from Perigold. I immediately fired her and took over the work-- i don't believe Wendy is professionally trained at any level Certainly her care about her clients is lacking. Felt like she would just get away with whatever she could.
