I took in my hard drive and explained my issue to David and how disappointed that the place I took it to originally, weren't able to recover my data. He said it would take 3-5 business days. Feeling that there was a chance in fixing my computer, I asked if I could pay now (which was $150) and left. David calls shortly after to ask questions regarding the hard drive. I'm put on hold so he could talk to the tech guy (whom I never saw, but assumed he was in back). David then told me it couldn't be fixed based on their diagnosis. I come back thinking I'd be refunded, since I paid to what I thought was towards the repair. When confronted, David apologized and shrugged it off, admitting he forgot to mention it. I would've asked to speak to someone else, but a customer was there and I don't like causing scenes. Not only did I pay $150 for a quote advertised as free, they took all of 20 minutes to diagnose something I already knew that it wasn't likely to be fixed. We quote the obvious fix. If you brought in a phone with a broken screen, we quote you the cost of replacing the screen. Every other waste company picked up on Friday but not Choice. I expect a credit/refund for breach of contract for last week, pickup or drop off another can on Monday for this weeks trash or another credit/refund for this week since I have no where to put my trash. It would also be helpful if the office was open on the Saturdays they are supposed to be picking up trash so you can contact someone when they don't.
