This business is now the only entity I trust to work on our house, and I trust them completely. When you use a private contractor, if an issue arises that they refuse to address, one has a little recourse, except small claims court or an attorney. With One Stop Home Repair, if an issue arises, you simply call the office and they address it promptly. We had a minor issue with an electrician, and not only did one stop adjust the bill, but they sent an electrician the following day to correct the problem, which was followed by a visit from the owner himself to look over the work to make sure that everything had been done correctly. We use them for electrical, plumbing, AC, heating, and now we are using them for cabinetry. This is a company that is entirely focused on the customer. Their values of Customer Service are anachronistic and are what one could have expected back in the 90s. They stand behind their work, they are extremely fair in pricing, and they back everything they do up completely. After having lived in our house for 14 years and having used countless contractors for different tasks, some of which were done well, and some of which were not, some of which could book an appointment in a reasonable lot of time, some of which vanished in the middle of the job, and some of which were impossible to make an appointment with, we now use one stop exclusively for literally everything in our house because their quality of service is far above anyone else's. We have complete confidence in this company, which is more than I can say for the vast majority of independent contractors who have come and gone. This is not a corporation staffed by indifferent employees. This is old-fashioned, personal service. They are prompt, they are polite, and on the rare occasions that an issue arises they are extremely prompt and fair in resolving any issue. The peace of mind that this brings as a homeowner is in valuable, and I cannot recommend this company anymore highly. I would give them six stars if I could. read more

We used this company to help switch over to propane. Which was $14,000 and we were fine with it because we needed an new heating system. In the first couple weeks the water kept going cold, then the heat would not work. We called them and they would come out and "fix" the issue. Only for it to happen again. We finally got them to come out to "fix" it a final time to find out that they did not put the exhaust vent outside the house. Apparently when your exhaust vent is inside the house you cannot use an air freshener around it. Which we were not made aware of. One guy came out and said that the whole system was set up wrong and after he messed around with it, it started working. A couple months later we get a bill for $3,000!!! On a heating system they did not install correctly. We said we were not paying it because THEY were the ones that did not do their jobs correctly. They threatened us with a lean on the house if we did not pay the bill. After I had my father talk to them, they brought it down to a little over $1,000 for the bill. These folks installed a storm door for my home. I had some sticker shock at how much they were charging, but I'd heard good things and that they did quality work so I went with it. The door was never properly functioning (though it did function) and now it's completely busted. I can home one day and the entire bottom of it was falling apart. This is after them taking a YEAR to get around to installing it in the first place. I should have just read the writing on the wall and just canceled it. I had an experience where they sent a guy to fix a leak coming through my ceiling... from the upstairs shower. It was a simple fix , and the price was right and it was done quickly . The shower was old, so a few months later I contacted them to replace the shower surround. Two guys showed up for the estimate, which I knew should fall between $500 and $1,000. People I know had done it cheaper themselves, but I would rather have a pro do it. They gave me a quote of between $10,000 and $12,000. I told them, no, you don't understand... I don't want the entire bathtub removed and replaced, I only want the plastic above the bathtub replaced around the inside.. the three walls. He replied, oh, in that case it will still be around $8,000 to $10,000! Needless to say, I was shocked and told them they could leave my house now. They knew what I wanted, and definitely understood why I was mad. They said they had a lot of work and really "had" to price it that way. I would definitely not recommend contacting them for any kind of work whatsoever! I wouldn't have written this review, but I did call them and said I wanted to talk to someone in management or a supervisor. Be prepared for a (bad) surprise bill at the end! One Stop sent their Project Manager to scope the job on 7/18 and sent us a contract for $7,389. We signed the contract with an estimated start date set for Monday 8/15. They called Friday 8/12 and said they needed to review the project. Howard Whelden, General Manager, came on 8/23 and then sent us a change order for an additional $700. We reluctantly signed the change order. After completing the work, we got another unpleasant surprise. The total cost was now $9,930. An increase of $2,542. This was for a bathroom shower kit installation. We won't use them again and wouldn't recommend them. Nice people but they'll stick it to you in the end! read more

Not only did they keep changing the days that they were going to do the work but they took twice as long as originally planned which caused my wife and I to take additional days off from work to be there.....then we get the bill and it is for twice the amount of the original estimate. $2000 over the original estimate!!! Wost Service EVER! Don't Use them... They are scammers. They will ask you for a "good faith" deposit for the "work" they are suppose to do. Then they hold your money and wait until after the 60 day dispute time frame is up to tell you that you can not have your money back and you wind up being outed a sizable amount of money. I had utilized them on a couple occasions for minor work (replacing leaky faucets, etc.). I thought their prices were high but was satisfied overall with the quality of the work. However, I recently had an electrical issue at a rental property I own and called them to diagnose and fix the problem, which they did (or so I thought). The electrician and his helper left bare wires running into the circuit box. Rather than replace the entire line, they simply spliced a new piece in. The electrician sat in the van while his helper finished the job, then presented me with a bill for over $2000! A couple days later, we began to have issues again and called the power company, thinking it must be something on their end. They found that the problem was actually 2 loose screws the electrician had failed to tighten, which arced and burned up a brand new air conditioner. My tenant raised hell with One Stop and they ultimately did pay for the air conditioner. I had to call another electrician to clean up their mess and he was horrified at the poor quality of One Stop's work and the exorbitant amount they charged me.
