I decided to give the AFC sushi counter at Mollie Stone's another chance, and I was blown away by…read morethe improvements in quality and selection now available. I tend to be a self-proclaimed sushi snob, and I was definitely impressed with the freshness, quality, and beautiful craftsmanship of all their sushi rolls and platters. This time, I ordered: Chef's Choice platter- perfect if you're an indecisive eater like me, and want to try different items. They typically come with a diverse selection of sashimi and sushi rolls, which are seriously comparable to restaurant quality. My favorite rolls include the rainbow, caterpillar, done deal, dynamite rolls, and their salmon sashimi is always consistently fresh and high quality. Sushiritto- perfect if you're looking for a fully cooked option! This was delicious, and absolute stuffed with imitation crab and a generous selection of veggies and avocado. Definitely one of my best experiences with supermarket sushi in the Bay Area, and I'll definitely be back again!

He didn't greet me nor asked how my day was and spouted out "do you need a bag?" I politely asked for "a small bag like this one" and clearly pointed at the other cash register. He kept saying that he doesn't understand what I'm talking about and I ended up declining and paid for my things. No apology . After the transaction, he didn't say "have a good day" and kept silent as another patron came up. I said "you're welcome" to him as I approached the door. He gave me a stern stare as if he wanted to do something to me. These guys just lost a potential great customer had that cashier not been frugally rude to me.

I have been shopping here for years, since they originally opened it up. Remember years ago when…read morebehind this where all the housing is was the old Lucky's. I would say the staff is great, and the bargains are good. Regarding the staff, Maria has been here for years and is a great asset to the store and so is the store manager , his name slips me now, however he has been here a long time as well. You can find some good prices, you just have to be smart. Always look at the expiration dates as well as the pricing. On some items the pricing is much better than other supermarkets. Then there are those items, well they are about the same price as your others. Just shop smart. Ok, you may hear tune " Grocery Outlet Bargain Market " playing over and over again in your head, you are not delusional, it's probably the recording in the store ;-) Lol All kidding aside, they do play these recording.." Hey SIr, yeah you in the produce isle" And I was like.."Wow they must be talking to me" :-) And then the Grocery Outlet Bargains start playing ;-) Come on really, you think I am that gullible?! Ha ;-) I guess so!!

I've had repeated problems with inaccurate prices at the Grocery Outlet in Palo Alto. For example,…read morea bag of apples labeled $4.99 rang up as $5.99, and instead of honoring the displayed price, an employee came back with a freshly new label printed at $5.99 -- no apology, no adjustment. Another time, a six-pack of beer with no price displayed was charged at $7.99, even though the same item costs $4.99 at another nearby Grocery Outlet. After reading other reviews, it seems I'm not the only shopper experiencing incorrect pricing at this location. This is extremely frustrating and feels misleading. I urge consumer protection agencies to look into the pricing practices here so customers can trust that the price on the shelf is the price at the register.
