Like everyone else in this universe, I love going to Trader Joe's to see what is new. Today on my recent trip, I just found out that I can get a whole box of Chomps turkey jerky and I am totally excited about it as I love bringing it on my long hikes. I also found out that they have chocolate covered pistachios. This is just a genius idea. Trader Joe's is just a scavenger hunt for things that are uniquely different. Their prices are very competitive. Their produce is very economical and fresh and really geared towards people who have a limited amount of time to food prep. I love it because it enables me to meal prep in less time than I would need otherwise. I love Trader Joe's. It will always remain one of my favorite convenient supermarkets. This location by Stanford was very busy because it's in the center with a lot of other restaurants and shops. However, the parking lot is quite large and even on a Sunday afternoon, we were able to find parking during peak lunchtime. Casual. Please come and create your own adventure.

This Trader Joe's is located at Town & Country. Parking can be challenging here most of the time. Often come here to pick up the lentil chips and almond butter cups for my niece in Singapore. Not sure why she loves them so much. Oh and she is crazy about those TJ espresso beans which I can't get hold of them most of the time. Staffs were very helpful during all the times I was there. Store was often busy.

Quick stop for almond milk and the jute tote. Picked up a pumpkin for her dorm. The store was popping, clean and the associates were all smiling.

Customer service, inventory management, and the overall atmosphere are not what we expect from this location. The recent experience with a packaged chicken was especially concerning: inside the sealed container, I found multiple feather shafts ("hairs") and part of the black rear area of the bird, which should never appear in a properly processed product. This is a serious quality-control issue and extremely disappointing for a store known for high standards. I truly hope management addresses this immediately -- customers deserve better.

This location is located in the Stanford Town & Country shopping center. There are lots of parking spaces available, unless during peak hours or major shopping holidays. The customer service is good and polite, as you would expect from TJ's. Standard produce, well stocked shelves, and clean store.

So I have been shopping at this one for years. It's either this one or the one at San Antonio Road in Mt View. This one can have a line, depending on when you come in. The prices are pretty good, the staff are excellent, always helpful and kind and funny. :) I remember helping bag onetime, remembering the prices of the items and the amount of produce I put in my cart and the cashier was..do you work at one of our stores..I said " nope but perhaps I should" ;-) So why would I come here versus some of the others in the area? Its my experience here. Now mind you, waiting in line can be annoying to all of us, but this is the new normal that we have to deal with now. The products that I usually stay away from here are their meats and say their cheeses. I believe these prices are a bit steep and remind me of Whole Foods in that arena. But when it comes to say staples, and vegetables and fruits and say milk and almond and soy milk, they are excellent, and then my spanikopita that I like here. The wine prices are fairly good as well. I cannot say enough nice things about this place and their staff.

Dill Pickle Flavored Potato Chips (Zippy Tang).

Not a cheese connoisseur but do love a good brand to tickle my adventurous taste buds. Not firm like cheddar but bitable and creamy buttery with a noticeable zesty tang on the tongue that melts-in-mouth and sure to bring happiness. Satisfying savory snack on its own speckled with bits of herbaceous chives and onions which gives this a distinctive pale orange appearance. This particular cheese has strong melting points - pairs beautifully well with Zinfandel or intensely fruity Shiraz or opt with a light chilled beer any time of the day. Who does not like snappy dill pickles and better yet in a wonderful potato chip form, in moderation of course? Perfect blend of bold dill and zippy tang. Must try for all flavor adventurers. Luck of the draw as seasoning distribution was perfect - each russet potato sliver had a briny dill-y zesty ka-pow when bitten. Thank goodness I was not knee deep in dusted seasoning at the end of the bag. Hearty kettle-cooked pickle-y tangy crunch sure to be a great addition to that next gathering.

Shout out to Celeste! I had a milestone birthday yesterday (4/2) and stopped in to grab a bottle Veuve Clicquot and a few odds and ends. The row was empty. Damn. I went to take a picture of the champagne in the neighboring row to see what my roommate thought of the backup plan. Before I could snap a photo, I heard some ask, "Veuve Clicquot?!" There was Celeste with her restocking cart. She informed me the bottle was the very last in the building and asked if I wanted it. YES! I thanked her for making my birthday extra special and she was so sweet. You have a good one in Celeste, Trader Joe's! If there wasn't a pandemic I would've hugged her. Also your cashier was a sweetheart and I appreciated the offer from another crew member to help me to my car. You guys made my day. Cheers to you Celeste! Thanks again!

The plants are all still thriving several weeks later!

My primary go-to for groceries. I love that TJ's doesn't have rotating sales, because I can buy what I want instead of buying what I think I should because I can save 20 cents. The store's also the perfect size for an enjoyable browsing experience or an efficient only-what's-on-the-list run. TJ's has clean high quality produce and staple goods like milk and eggs. They also have a lot of solid items that I often grab unplanned, and rarely regret buying. Latest delicious finds include their ginger and pork soup dumplings, assorted tamales, garlic naan, and seasonal items like spiced apple cider and ube ice cream. They also have a really lovely selection of plants outside the entrance, at very reasonable prices. I bought a spider plant at a nursery only to find TJ's had a larger spider plant for a cheaper price in a nicer pot. Oh! And their staff are all really nice, from the front door greeter dispensing hand sanitizer, to the checkout staff who have mastered friendly casual conversation as they validate your purchase choices.

You can now bring your own reusable bags as of Sept 2020

I tend to be a self-proclaimed sushi snob, and I was definitely impressed with the freshness, quality, and beautiful craftsmanship of all their sushi rolls and platters. This time, I ordered: Chef's Choice platter- perfect if you're an indecisive eater like me, and want to try different items. They typically come with a diverse selection of sashimi and sushi rolls, which are seriously comparable to restaurant quality. My favorite rolls include the rainbow, caterpillar, done deal, dynamite rolls, and their salmon sashimi is always consistently fresh and high quality. Sushiritto- perfect if you're looking for a fully cooked option! This was delicious, and absolute stuffed with imitation crab and a generous selection of veggies and avocado. Definitely one of my best experiences with supermarket sushi in the Bay Area, and I'll definitely be back again!

He didn't greet me nor asked how my day was and spouted out "do you need a bag?" I politely asked for "a small bag like this one" and clearly pointed at the other cash register. He kept saying that he doesn't understand what I'm talking about and I ended up declining and paid for my things. No apology . After the transaction, he didn't say "have a good day" and kept silent as another patron came up. I said "you're welcome" to him as I approached the door. He gave me a stern stare as if he wanted to do something to me. These guys just lost a potential great customer had that cashier not been frugally rude to me.
