I had very high standards about proper preparation as well as the actual paint job. They were already planning to do everything I was wanting and even offered to do more than I was asking! Furthermore I was assured by Jeff that I wouldn't pay for the job until we were completely satisfied with the work. I had gotten other estimates. I was shocked but we had 6 quotes and they were the only ones to detail exactly what would be done in writing. They move all the heavy stuff (for no charge!) so you don't need to sweat moving a bunch of heavy furniture around. They proceed they way you want it done. In painting the prep is everything. The workers spent several days in prep and it shows. Their workers have years of experience with this company, not hired off the street. They do not do major wood replacement or remove pop corn ceilings you will want a referral for that. Worse experience ever. They abandoned the job, used the wrong paint, and tried to charge more while changing the original agreements. I had to file a complaint with the state board for job abandonment, file a claim with their insurance company because Jeff refused to provide us with his Bond Insurance information. Jeff tried to bribe us to not review him in Yelp through a settlement agreement which we denied because I think everyone should know how corrupt this company is. I hired them to paint my house with two different types of paints by Benjamin Moore. chantilly lace and white wisp. On the day the project started I reconfirm with the painter the paints I wanted in person and via text. Which by the way was only two workers for a 3500 sqft 2 story home with a down stairs office. We confirm with Jeff and the painters that all of the walls were going to be prime before painting. Two days into the project we find out they weren't using Benjamin Moore they were using an imitation of Benjamin Moore to safe money and capitalize on their commissions. We found out this was going on because we saw the cans they were using on the floor. My brother who knows a little more about this noticed it and pointed out to me that they weren't using Benjamin Moore. When I asked the painter without telling him we noticed the paint cans on the floor he tried to convince us that he was using Benjamin Moore and they paid extra for the paint we wanted. After letting him lied to us for 5 minutes my brother points out to the cans on the floor. He then quickly changes his answer knowing that we had caught him lying. He stated that he was going to reach out to his office to talk to them about fixing the paint problem. He stated he would come back on Monday. Monday comes and he says the office told him he can fix the paint problem but he had to charge me for the cost to fix and repaint the areas he had done plus the cost of the paint. They wanted to do a change order. We tried reaching Jeff but he was nowhere to be found our calls were going to voicemail. When he finally calls back it's to tell us that he apologized for the confusion but he needed to pay his worker for the labor and it was going to be me who had to pay. He also tried to convince me that Benjamin Moore is a color not a paint and the he was using mixers to get to the color we wanted. He said it was standard procedure to use imitation paint. And they tell all of their customers they are using Benjamin Moore when in reality they are using an imitation. A down graded paint quality. When he noticed I was being Accommodating to his explanation after I told him I felt forced to agree to his terms because my house was a complete mess he tried to capitalize even more on his commissions by saying not all of the walls will be primed only certain areas of the walls. Small patches. And if I wanted all of the the walls to be primed he was going to charge extra. My wife and I were speechless. Specially after he threatened a lien on our new home. He said agree to the terms or we will put a lien on your home. We were pressured to move forward with his demands because of the lien and because my house was a complete mess. It was uninhabitable. He new this and he took advantage of our situation. As in good faith and in the spirit of compromise I told him that I would buy the paint upfront but I felt paying for the labor was out of the question. We went back and forth and eventually I had to give in. My only condition was that he needed to provide us with a full brake down of the paint they used based on the original estimate and the brake down of the credit I would get back on the final invoice. I even agreed to physically drive to get the paint I wanted and pay it upfront. Jeff said he would put it all in writing. Conveniently on the day they were supposed to bring me the brake down he forgets to add the credit of the paint but adds the additional cost on the final work order And conveniently Disappears. We refused to sign a unfinished work ordered till we had those descriptions in the work order. We waited till noon for his updated invoice but it never came. The office was no longer taken my calls and told the painters to go home. Euriel the painter in charge said that they always go through this with Jeff. Last minute work order changes and bad responses. He stated he had other projects line up and wouldn't be coming back to finish the project living my house a complete mess. Jeff and the office Disappeared with my house destroyed. In order to protect myself and my family we had to file a complaint with the state board and hired a new crew to finish the job. Jeff reaches out to us a week a 1/2 later after Abandoning the job and receiving a letter from the state board. He is currently being investigated and a two claims have been filed against him and it looks like we will be going to court. Be careful with this company. If I were you I run as far as possible. read more

Jeff from one way painting was very professional and set reasonable expectations. Due to weather, the job took slightly longer than expected but the company remained true to their quote. The quality of the job was high grade and the stucco repair made the walls look brand new. Jeff's pricing was also competitive compared to other quotes. Most importantly, Jeff mentioned that if there was any dissatisfaction they would come back to correct any work. True to his word, there was an issue and he promptly returned and arranged for the correction. I will use Jeff again for any iterative maintenance work in the future. read more

I would highly recommend this painting company. Family owned and operated they exceeded our expectations. Right off the bat Shane came out for a free quote and was nothing but super professional and knew what he was talking about. He explained the differences in paint as far what finish go's where. There quote was higher than 4 other quotes but we felt like the attention to detail and work product was going to be spot on. So we picked One Way. From day one the crew was early and went right to work. The head painter Adileade (sorry if it's miss spelled) was super professional and ran a tight ship. He and his crew did such an AWSOME job that our neighbor came over to ask about them and this was done as their house was being painted by a different crew. We also had neighbors text to say our house looked amazing. That tells a lot. The prep and attention to detail was above and beyond. They fixed stucco and wood seems and made it look like a new house. In the end all we could say was WOW. We went from tan and browns to grey and whites. We were a little nervous but they NAILED IT! My husband got 3 quotes to paint the inside of our home, which desperately needed it. When it came time to making the decision, it was a hard one. Each company was extremely nice, gave us helpful details on moving forward, and came in around the same price point. One Way was slightly lower so we ended up going with them. Jeff was the main guy we worked with. It was a great decision. We had to wait a few weeks but we were not in a hurry. When the crew came in, they were extremely professional. After it was done, I was so impressed at everything they did. They did the backs of the closet, the hard to reach sections, all the covers in the kids rooms. It was really done well. We were so happy we ended up contracting them to do our outside trim after we redid the roof. They just finished. This review is overdue. Several weeks ago I had One Way Painting finish our residence in North Tustin. The painter I had used for many, many years left me disappointed by a prior job at a prior residence. Sloppy work and poor supervision of his employees made it clear I needed to take my business elsewhere. I was impressed by the previous reviews of One Way, reached out to them and 2 other highly reviewed contractors. While the pricing for each was very similar, what made it an easy decision for me to go with One Way was the way Jeff explained the job in great detail. He also asked very good questions of what I was looking for. Moreover, Jeff provided the name of someone to assist us with choosing the right color for the home (she hit a home run as well). Other contractors simply came out and gave me their number. One actually looked annoyed as I was asking him questions regarding their prep work. What an amazing transformation. The paint job done by the previous owner of the home left much desired. The One Way team repaired all the previous flaws and left the home looking model home fresh. I cannot compliment them enough. I was also impressed by the communication from the office during the scheduling process (rain delayed the start date) and while the job was being performed. I am project manager for a client's property in Dana Point- their tenants left their 5,000sf 6bd home full of damage... large holes in the walls, mismatched patch jobs, holes in the ceilings, etc. I requested a quote, got a quick response, and the owner Jeff came by to do a walk through. Jeff was my 3rd quote, but I immediately felt that he was more detailed than others... he asked all the right questions and understood our needs. One Way Painting completed the interior paint yesterday and I couldn't be more pleased with the job! Jeff, his foreman Francisco, and their team met with me on Day 1, to be sure we were all on the same page. They meticulously prepped (there are LOTS of windows, french doors, crown moulding and baseboards). They did a tremendous job patching the holes throughout the house... including holes at the top of a 23' wall... and holes that went through the walls to the exterior thru the stucco. They even patched drywall in areas that needed it, which saved us the headache of hiring an additional handyman. I came to the house frequently to check in and Francisco's team was hard at work every time. He was always welcoming to my visits and would take the time to verify things were looking the way we wanted.
