They should be ashamed of themselves for teaching their younger family members how to rip people off. The place we rented in Loveland was really run down and dirty. We spent 2 weeks cleaning it before we could move it. We latterly gave them over a hundred pictures proving how bad it was. They promised they would repair the deck as it was dangerously falling apart. Of course they never did. We had to move because the Owners wanted to sell. We took very good care of the place. When we moved out it was really clean. We hired a cleaning company to come in and go over it again just to be sure. We also hired a carpet cleaning company and a landscape company to come mow. They cut a tree down right before we moved out leaving wood all over the yard. They took $700 of our deposit for a huge dumpster. I went by after we moved out and they have a very nice deck out back. When we moved out they would not come meet with us to do an inspection. They said the Owners would do the inspection. Our deposit was $1,800. They gave us back $600. Of course they took so long to send our deposit back that we needed the money so we didn't go to court. Another one of my roommate' s mothers was a property manager and said our house was not at all up to protocol. She emailed the company. This year we moved out and did not receive more than $20 on our deposits and it was disappointing to say the least. It claimed that all of the stuff that had been broken or disgusting upon move in were being "fixed" and that is why they were taken out of our deposits. I would NEVER again rent here.

I was a renter with this company for over five years. Customer loyalty means nothing to these…read morepeople. I advised them months in advance that I will be moving out and they forced me to sign another contract in order to not be homeless extending the lease farther than I was going to be moving. Perfect rental history with no late payments and this is how they treat you. Tanager Management / RentUNC is a horrible place to do any kind of business with. They switched to a new online billing system, and all of their customer personal information was leaked online because they did not set it up properly, or obviously test it's functionality. The College / Campus Haus Apartments have constant disturbances at night, people yelling at all hours, drunk kids breaking things, and trash everywhere. I went to work with empty beer cans thrown inside the bed more often than not. Neighbors were noisy all of the time. The Internet service is a complete joke and only works about 10% of the time with very high latency and packet loss. They have so many wireless access points, that none of them work because they are flooding each other out. Water pressure is unreliable and varies at random. Nothing like taking a shower with hot and cold water whenever anyone else is running a dishwasher or flushing a toilet in the building. The laundry services are expensive and dirty. There is no parking to speak of, if you are luck enough to get a parking space, you car will probably be vandalized or broken in to. DO NOT RENT from this company! They are slumlords who do not care about tenants.
