One Zo is my top boba place when I am craving a refreshing drink before school or after. It takes just one long walk then one crosswalk from the school and the store is conveniently around the corner. Walk inside the entrance, the place has a chill vibe--good place to sit back and relax. The staff are very friendly and seem to be quite familiar with students around, which was very comforting. Ordered a Thai tea which had an adequate amount of sugar, exactly as I suggested. The drink was refreshing and homemade. Would definitely try again. I had a very satisfied experiance with this Boba place and it is one of my GO-TO areas for drinks near LBCC. For any Asians or anyone in general around the area, I would recommend this place. One Zo/Myungrang has a lot of potential, but our experience was a bit mixed. The drinks themselves weren't bad -- I ordered a peach tea with lychee jelly, which was refreshing and enjoyable. My husband got the Crème Brûlée Matcha Oreo, but unfortunately it came out really watery and more liquidy than expected, which was a little disappointing. The main reason for the 3-star rating was the wait time. Our order took so long to come out, especially considering it wasn't extremely busy at the time. The long wait definitely took away from the overall experience. That said, the location is great and there's a good amount of indoor seating, which makes it a comfortable spot to hang out. There's no flavor and very watered down. I got 50-70% sweet, but it didn't taste sweet at all. The boba wasn't chewy and doesn't have any taro flavor. 2. One Zo milk tea with honey boba ($7) - 6/10 - it was mediocre. Not good and not bad. If you crave a basic milk tea, this will do the job. Boba wasn't chewy, but not fresh. It was a bit stale and wasn't warm. 3. Oreo matcha brûlée milk tea with boba ($7.70) - 6/10 - it was also very mediocre. 4. I love the drinks here and had gone here due to my school being nearby. However, I was shocked at the rude attitude I received from the worker. I had made an order and I may have ordered it incorrectly and asked if I could have it changed. They come with a big sauce collection including cheesy mustard, chili, ketchup, regular mustard, mayo & more. You can order with a person at the counter or on a tablet kiosk. My kids and I used to enjoy coming to this spot. I am not returning to this location, however, due a serious lack of basic English from its employees and incompetence. I simply asked if a drink was DAIRY FREE and spent a few minutes spelling it out on my phone for the cashier. At first, the cashier said yes, and I paid. Then the cashier looked at me and asked what I meant by "dairy free" again, and she calls her boss, even when I had already paid. After a few minutes on the phone, she offers options of almond milk, oat milk, etc. and says,"Do you have cash?" (I had already paid for a drink she just told me was "dairy free.") She then says, "It's 50 cents extra." Now getting impatient, I go back to my car to get some change and give it to her. (I should have just asked for a refund then and there.) The drinks seemed prepared, but then she says something I can barely understand about my drink (which I asked to be dairy free), and says "I'm sorry," implying to me that this may not in fact be dairy free. I ended it there and just told her to give me a full refund. My dog was waiting in my car, and it was a hot day; that was a 15 minute complete waste of time. I'm giving 1 star because I was given a full refund. TO THE OWNER OF ONE ZO: For your customers' safety, please make sure your employees understand basic customer service language of the food industry, especially terms such as "DAIRY FREE." Your customers don't have time to give your employees a spelling class. Lastly, again for SAFETY, have clear and large enough signs stating if your products are dairy free, etc. The lack of customer service and incompetence of the services rendered at this visit needs immediate supervision and correction. They also have brown sugar boba, and their boba is homemade. This location is interesting because most of their drinks only come in a large size. There are several drinks in a medium size. There is one register for the Korean hot dogs and another for your drinks. I'm not into hot dogs so I just come here for boba. One Zo is reliable and sells quality drinks. Came in here with my husband on a Friday night to grab a bite to eat. Like others have shared, their ordering system was split and a little weird since you have to purchase your food and your beverages in separate transactions. The cheese mustard was weird but good, definitely mustard dominant but probably with some cheddar cheese powder mixed in; it'd be fantastic on a pretzel. The hot chili just tasted sweet to me, and I didn't even try the sweet chili because the other one was sweet enough. Happy we finally have a Korean gamja corn dog place in Long Beach. Specializing in boba teas and corn dogs, this place is great at what they do. This is high caloric comfort food. It tastes amazing, but I definitely couldn't eat it multiple times in a week. The classic corn dog (#1) was my favorite. The dough is different, light and airy with slight touch of sweetness and perfectly fried. The surface has some fine bread crumbs on it. With the cheesy mustard as a dipping sauce, it was sheer perfection and for only $3. The potato corn dog tasted much different than expected, but in a good way. It is basically corn dog and French fries married together. I think the mistake I made was asking asking that they add sugar. I saw it on the poster and wanted to experience it, but it was too much. Next time, I would order it without sugar and ask for ketchup for the dipping sauce. Fatty, salty, sugary and fried...what's not to like. Match that with some caffeine in the boba tea, and you've hit all the happy places in the human brain. It tastes amazing, but like I said, might wanna space it out because they can be rich. The lady taking my order was very patient answering all of my various questions as I have not had many Korean corndogs before. I ended up ordering the squid ink mozzarella hotdog and the potato hotdog. Both were fried super crisp, and the mozzarella was gooey. I also liked how the squid ink corndog had "legs." The ambiance is super cute here. I can see it being a fun hangout or easy date night. The music is pop music, not too loud and not too soft. My jasmine tea was made the way I like it. Easy ice and less sweet which I asked for and got. Most places you ask for easy ice and it's still half a cup. Here it was perfect. Just enough to get my drink cold but not enough to water it down. Mozzarella sausage dog and squid ink mozzarella dog were both great. They are quite big so one was actually enough to fill me up but I got greedy and wanted to try the squid ink. I asked for half sugar dip on both so I can try with and without. Squid ink one is super cute the way they make the sausage flare out at the end like tentacles. I didn't really taste any difference from the regular mozzarella dog but it was still good. My only gripe is the mozzarella didn't go all the way to the end of the sausage. It stopped 3/4 of the way which I was disappointed about. Without the mozzarella it wasn't as good. If they can get the cheese to cover the whole sausage, then it will be fantastic all the way through. read more
