Definitely a small place that can be crowded fast. They have two lines that I honestly don't think it matters FOOD and DRINKS. Their pastrami sandwich is absolutely a banger. You can get half a pound and one pound. Very filling and satisfying to eat with their crunchy sandwich with cucumbers, carrots, red onions. The price of the sandwich is a bit high but the quality of it is so damn delicious. Definitely a meal to have twice a month. I highly recommend eating on an empty stomach because it is a lot. The main reason I came to this location is actually for the sandwiches at Gold Banh which is a shared location between the two businesses. Since we ordered some drinks I can say that they have an extensive drink menu. We tried their Thai tea and the Thai Tea hard which is half Thai tea and half brewed Vietnamese coffee. A sting coffee taste which actually over powers the Thai Tea. They do not offer blended drinks so it was iced for me, however I did add some boba. The straight Thai Tea which is typical of Thai iced tea at Thai restaurants, this was not sweet at all, so that can go either way depending on how you like it. Stopped by here based on a recommendation from a family member. Got a Hong Kong milk tea with boba! I thought it was really good quality, but I didn't care much for the flavor. I don't know if it's just the flavor from the way this place makes it or if I don't particularly like hong kong milk tea in general. But it was a solid drink, and the boba was good! Wow... this Tom's Famous Pastrami sandwich is SO good. 10/10! every single bite is packed with flavor. The pastrami is juicy, perfectly seasoned, and just melts in your mouth. I hate that I live 1 1/2 hours away... but maybe that's actually a good thing because I would be here way too often if I lived closer. I also ordered the pastrami spring rolls. I haven't tried it yet, but honestly, the sandwich alone already made the trip worth it. Even if the spring roll isn't my favorite, this sandwich more than makes up for it! One thing that caught my eye is that they open at 9AM everyday, which is uncommon for a boba/drinks shop. Parking is free for 2 hours in a nearby structure, a quick 1 minute walk from structure to the shop. Inside is very clean, coffee cafe vibes, and a moderate amount of indoor seating with counter seating as well. It's also very spacious and has numerous amounts of interior decoration. The menu is quite extensive down to chips, cookies, teas, matcha, coffee, and boba. We ultimately decided on the strawberry matcha latte & the osmanthus oolong milk tea. Both drinks came out within reasonable time as the shop wasn't that busy. Both drinks were decently well made, the strawberry matcha is definitely the stand out, for sure it's freshly brewed for both drinks. Only downside is that the cups are no longer branded with their logo, now it's just a regular cup which is a bit disappointing. Regardless, a decent shop for any drink after a nice meal. read more

And, Loose Leaf offers both! First off, they have an extensive menu for coffee and tea, plus now some food. Their coffee is also their speciality and they offer pretty strong, bold, and various versions of the Vietnamese coffee. If you like strong Vietnamese coffee, you need to try theirs out! Then, the milk tea, is so fresh, strong, full of tea aroma and so fresh! One of the best thing about their drinks is they use Strauss milk, which is like the best milk to have in your coffee or tea! Then, it's the boba. They serve one of the best boba a milk tea shop can offer, and it makes all the difference! I pulled up around 11, saw the sign that they open at 1, and honestly almost left -- but I'm rarely in this area, so I figured I'd find something to do and come back. Glad I did. Flavor, texture, everything on point, and somehow didn't leave me feeling wrecked or with heartburn like some other pastrami spots do. Then you add the bánh mì side of things -- the pickled veggies, the freshness, the balance -- every bite hit. The bread deserves its own shoutout too: flaky outside, soft and airy inside, and it held together the whole time. Washed it down with a Mexican Coke and just sat there happy. Lowkey feel bad I came without my wife, so next time I'm pulling up acting brand new like I've never been -- but I already know what I'm ordering. Loose Leaf Boba Co is located off 3rd street in Downtown Long Beach. My wife ordered their fifty fifty, which is 50% milk tea and 50% vietnamese coffee and she enjoyed it. I've been here multiple times and have tried their HK milk tea and their thai teas. I find that this place is generally so-so. Have had several visits and I've tried to vary up my sweetness levels, but I haven't been able to find a perfect balance. I still consistently get a drink here if I'm in the area, but I won't drive out of my way to seek it out as my choice for a milk tea. It has convenient access to parking at the Harvey Milk Community Lot (2 hours free!). This is usually my place to get some milk tea or Vietnamese Coffee before I drive home from this area. As far as ambiance goes, there is some communal seating available, which was nice to hang out with friends after our meal at Ammatoli. I came here impulsively after eating at Ammatoli and tried their Classic Milk tea with Oat milk. This was my first time trying milk tea with oat milk, and I really enjoyed it. I got it 75% sweetness, and it was perfect. I do enjoy my regular milk, but this did the job. Inside the business, there are tables and stools for you to work at; it is a good place to chill and do work. You can also park in the nearby parking garage for free two-hour parking.
