History
Established in 2017.
After serving at one of the largest wealth management firms in the country as a nationally recognized advisor for nearly 20 years, our CEO Harry Pearson heard a calling. His experience had shown him that, while large, corporate financial firms have much to offer, they didn't think about the impact investments can make.
If we believe that everything we have is a gift that's been given to us, then our finances and assets are not ours to own but to steward. With that in mind, and after prayer and consultation with his family, Harry transitioned away from his long-tenured role and set out to offer his clients a new values-based approach to investing. OneAscent was born.
With OneAscent Wealth, individuals have an opportunity to align their values with their investments. It turns out Harry wasn't alone in his belief that investments could be used to make a positive impact and bless humanity. Since its founding, OneAscent Wealth's approach has been embraced by clients across the country.
Meet the Business Owner: Harry P.
Harry Pearson is CEO of OneAscent Wealth. With 25 years of experience, Harry is passionate about serving families by encouraging generosity, aligning their investments with their values and encouraging Kingdom-driven, faithful stewardship.
After obtaining a B.A. in Finance from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1996, Harry joined Ameriprise in early 1997. In 2002 he opened his own Ameriprise franchise, which expanded to include five advisors, five support staff, and offices in both Birmingham and Huntsville. Feeling led by the Lord to have a greater Kingdom focus with his practice, Harry founded OneAscent in 2017 to assist his firm and others across the country to advise with values-aligned, Kingdom-driven excellence. Harry has both Certified Financial Planner™ and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ (CRPC®) designations and was appointed to the Ameriprise Chairman's Advisory Council from 2012 to 2014.
