Many of the staff members are who answer the phone act like they are put out, do not want to answer the phone, they hang up on you in mid-sentence when asking for help or answers to questions. Both the Manager and Assistant Mangers at this location do not do their jobs and let their staff act immature and like the location is a Day Care Center. The Manager also allows for some staff members to be vindictive, lie and make verbal threats of violence towards donors they do not like. This company also has a reputation for hiring Sex Offenders, Sexual Predators, Liars and Thieves at it's various locations.

Once again I am grateful to be able to donate blood here. It's always needed. I arrange an…read moreappointment every 10 weeks to donate. The staff is a cohesive group- well qualified and very supportive of each other and their donors. I am greeted and welcomed to fill out a questionnaire to see if I qualify to give. They take my blood pressure, temperature and iron level. If all is good, I lay back on their couch and they very gently take my blood. It doesn't take long - at the most 15 minutes. They then give me a gift - this time it was a full gorgeous umbrella. Other times I've gotten long sleeve and short sleeve sweatshirts and T-shirts, cups, etc. I also qualify for a gift card from Amazon, which is what I choose each time I go. Each time you give, they give you a larger denomination. I get it within a few days and it goes right into my account. It's seamless but more importantly the blood is going to someone who desperately needs it. After a few days, I also get my numbers such as my cholesterol count in an email. They also tell me at a later time where my blood went to. They don't tell me the specific person, but to which facility. There is no better feeling than being able to give blood to someone who needs it.

The first day I kept calling my mom but she wasn't answering which worried me ( she was on a lot of pain meds) so I called the nurse ( Mo) and he answered. Went to check on my mom and asked why I wasn't answering. He assured me my mom was ok which made me feel better. All the day nurses that took care of my mom were great ( Erin, Jackie, Mo, Dana, Angie, Melissa) I slept there for the week and a half she was there. The night nurses were ok, only came in to take vitals, give medication and clean her ( I got the feeling that they weren't too thrilled when they had to clean her) which is understandable but my mom had a fractured tail bone so she was limited to what she could do but I'm still thankful for them. Only thing was that I wish the food was better. Every week was the same thing I kind of wish they would change it up a bit & also the case manager I wish she would communicate a little bit more and guide us but nope one can only hope

At 530am the front doors promptly opened to the lobby and met with the bubbly registrar Diane who made check in simple and quick. Security walked me up to the waiting room where I sat for a bit then prep for surgery. They knocked me out with some great stuff and the surgery was a success. Cudos to Dr Johnathan Levy. Went home and began my brutal 12 week recovery.

I don't remember the other staff names but they were great as well. Dr. Zurkowsky admitted me and is a wonderful Doctor. The floor staff were super, especially the charge nurse, Andrea. One of the kiosks wasn't working, but there wasn't a sign letting people know, so several people kept trying to use it. Hopefully they'll put up a notice to avoid the confusion. Overall, the visit was well organized despite the number of people. And one final tip: be sure to use the hand sanitizer on your way out! No one likes going to these places so just make sure you fill out everything ahead of time!
