Definitely recommend making an appointment online as the last couple times I've gone, there have been quite a few people in the waiting area and appts go before walk ins. Pro tip - avoid dairy for 2 days prior to donating to help ensure your iron levels are good. They are open 7 days a week. You can donate whole blood and platelets (not sure if they are still doing plasma and double red cell). Did you know only 2% of the population donates blood? Did you know one donation helps 3 people? Did you know when you donate, you get a free wellness check (bp, iron count, cholesterol - if you donate), usually some type of gift (shirt, blanket, cups, etc), and usually a $20 gift card voucher to pick a place of your choice. Have you made your appt yet? What are you waiting for? They are currently running a challenge that if you donate more consistently in a certain time frame, you actually get more money with each visit. Anyhow back to the location at hand. Their drink fridge is always full and snack tray is usually fully stocked with a variety of yummy snacks. They have a couple tvs usually showing random stuff without volume and music on one playing so keep that in mind if you want to bring a book or something to pass the time. If you are healthy, please consider paying a visit to these lovely folks and saving a life or three.

The place is super clean and organized, workers are friendly, and overall they have a very efficient system in place. This center is located inside a large Publix plaza, so access is easy with lots of parking available right across from the center. You can make an appointment ahead of time or they also take walk-ins. If you are looking for a blood donation center, I suggest you give this one a try.

The staff is a cohesive group- well qualified and very supportive of each other and their donors. I am greeted and welcomed to fill out a questionnaire to see if I qualify to give. They take my blood pressure, temperature and iron level. If all is good, I lay back on their couch and they very gently take my blood. It doesn't take long - at the most 15 minutes. They then give me a gift - this time it was a full gorgeous umbrella. Other times I've gotten long sleeve and short sleeve sweatshirts and T-shirts, cups, etc. I also qualify for a gift card from Amazon, which is what I choose each time I go. Each time you give, they give you a larger denomination. I get it within a few days and it goes right into my account. It's seamless but more importantly the blood is going to someone who desperately needs it. After a few days, I also get my numbers such as my cholesterol count in an email. They also tell me at a later time where my blood went to. They don't tell me the specific person, but to which facility. There is no better feeling than being able to give blood to someone who needs it.

I have never had a problem getting a timely appointment, waiting for the doctor or wondering if the biopsy was back because they are always prompt in responding. I am very grateful to the front desk and check out folks,,,,always a smile, time to answer questions, etc. There are numerous docs in this practice and I have been with Dr "S" for a while and have total confidence in her. (In red what they say they can get you from 18 weeks, in green what I got in 22 weeks). Then they say your baby is too small... I had done a ultrasound on the same day with perinatologist where I could see the blood flow inside the baby's kidneys, baby by the way that was with expected weight and size for 22 weeks... how come they say my baby is too small? Smaller than 18 weeks at 22 weeks?? That's a month away... Then they promise a refund that I never got. Called every day for a week and they keep promising to do it and never do it. Horrible scammers!!!! Not to mention the "technician" was super rude when I mentioned the pictures were different from the site. Save your money and go somewhere else!!!
