My Rockland Trust debit card information was stolen and used by someone in another state to make a…read morepurchase of nearly $1,000.00 I was sent a text message from Rockland Trust on that day asking me if I made this purchase, to which I replied "NO", and the card was subsequently frozen and my account was given a provisional credit for that $1,000.00 fraudulent purchase. Fast forward 3 months later, and the provisional credit I had been given was then RESCINDED by Rockland Trust, and I was told they had been given "proof" by the merchant where the fraudulent transaction occurred that it was not fraudulent, despite the fact that the bank itself CONTACTED me that day when the purchase was made as they suspected it to be fraudulent. Now Rockland Trust is telling me there is "nothing more we can do", despite having already being able to provide me a credit for the fraudulent purchase that they TOLD me about the moment it happened. I will very likely be taking my business elsewhere entirely and never banking here again because of this complete failure, on Rockland Trust's part, to protect me and my financial security despite every indication and piece of evidence they had to do so.

RFCU had a branch in Mansfield, and soon had branches in neighboring towns. Free checking, friendly tellers, free coin machine and redemption, and they're on the SUM network which means I'm never far from an ATM. I've only ever had one or two minor issues and they were handled promptly by tellers or customer service folks via phone. PS- They have real humans answering their phones!

As great as the folks are in the branch, we must not forget the great job done by the customer…read moreservice experts on the phone. Granted its pretty much a normal business hours thing, but they have always been so helpful and so pleasant whenever I have called. I do have my bank card connected to Apple Pay, so when I arrived and realized the building required a card for entry, I was actually pleased to see that the entrance appeared to offer an option to use Apple Pay. Unfortunately, it didn't work. The reader recognized my phone and prompted me to complete Face ID, but after that, the door continued flashing red and would not unlock. This was extremely inconvenient, especially because the Apple Pay option is clearly available but apparently not functioning properly. If you're going to offer Apple Pay as an option for accessing the ATM, it should actually work. Now I have to find another bank just to withdraw cash.

They keep changing things and I can't download my statements. My checking, I can only get page one. When I call they offer to email my statement. The first time I had to go thru multiple steps to get it. This last time I refused and told them to mail it. now They say you can't print without an interface. I have the latest Safari and still can't print one even download my statement. Also in order to speak to someone at our local bank, you have to call the main number to speak to someone in my local bank to make an appointment to see them. This Bank is not user friendly. I hate to change banks now because it is such a hassle to change everything, but I guess I'll have to.
