I should have reviewed them long ago…read more When I moved down to Foxboro about 10 years ago, I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't need to change banks (having come from the South Shore). RFCU had a branch in Mansfield, and soon had branches in neighboring towns. Free checking, friendly tellers, free coin machine and redemption, and they're on the SUM network which means I'm never far from an ATM. I've only ever had one or two minor issues and they were handled promptly by tellers or customer service folks via phone. PS- They have real humans answering their phones!

Granted its pretty much a normal business hours thing, but they have always been so helpful and so pleasant whenever I have called. Today, I was going to attend my grand daughters graduation, and went through the Foxboro Drive up just to break a large bill into 2 $50.00 bills. Teller acted like I was bothering her, then asked if I was a customer. (Really?.... you're a bank). When I said no, I wasn't a customer, she refused to break the bill for me. I was going to open an account in town as we will eventually be moving back....it will not be with SCU. If that's indicative of their attitude and service. On a great note, I then went to TD Bank, who greeted me cheerfully and said " of course, one minute please". I think I found my bank!

I have too…read moreMany accounts, and this bank even though I told them over 6 months ago to deny charges if there are no funds in the account, has not done so and charges a $35 overdraft fee. Today I paid off the account and told them to close it and they told me , maybe by the end of the day if the account doesn't incur any charges? Do I need a lawyer to close my bank account?

My Rockland Trust debit card information was stolen and used by someone in another state to make a…read morepurchase of nearly $1,000.00 I was sent a text message from Rockland Trust on that day asking me if I made this purchase, to which I replied "NO", and the card was subsequently frozen and my account was given a provisional credit for that $1,000.00 fraudulent purchase. Fast forward 3 months later, and the provisional credit I had been given was then RESCINDED by Rockland Trust, and I was told they had been given "proof" by the merchant where the fraudulent transaction occurred that it was not fraudulent, despite the fact that the bank itself CONTACTED me that day when the purchase was made as they suspected it to be fraudulent. Now Rockland Trust is telling me there is "nothing more we can do", despite having already being able to provide me a credit for the fraudulent purchase that they TOLD me about the moment it happened. I will very likely be taking my business elsewhere entirely and never banking here again because of this complete failure, on Rockland Trust's part, to protect me and my financial security despite every indication and piece of evidence they had to do so.

I could go on much further in my praise for this institution but let it suffice to say it is so much better than dealing with a 'big bank'. When you call, they know the person, not just the name on the screen. And you know who's on the phone with you too. I joined a long time ago and have never found a reason to conduct my banking anywhere else.

Myke is like a 1 out of 100000 gem that would keep you doing business with a company, he was just that great. I don't think I've ever met a more upbeat, pleasant, friendly employee ANYWHERE in a very very very long time, and I am in customer service myself. I've spoken to many employees at Citizens, including someone in the corporate office to handle a complaint, but none of those experiences came close to today. So WOW, thanks Myke!

I get my account all set up and go to set up a scheduled transfer for the monthly car payments.... Come to find out you can't make payments using the app or online without opening a checking account. AT! ALL! So I'm supposed to bill pay using paper checks in the year 2026!?! What an absolutely terrible bank. I'll probably just pay off the loan, close the account, and roast this bank to anyone who asks. Do better.
