They get paid on the cases they close and have no interest in doing any legal collections. I found out about mine when Credit Karma flagged me, AFTER I'd called them 3 times asking for proof of debt which they never provided. I pay this hospital's bills and they're notorious for misapplying my payments and I wanted to see the invoice before I coughed up the whopping 58 bucks... The phone number I have for them is worthless; it goes to an agent who never returns calls. Because of this shadyness, I filed a complaint with the BBB as well as the FTC/CFPB for this suspect behavior, and I suggest you do the same. The response they gave to both was garbage: I have to submit a request for proof of debt in writing (WRONG: you have to notify them, period). And they also claim that they called me numerous times and are legally not allowed to leave voicemails (WRONG: they are not allowed to leave explicit voicemails that say this is in regard to a debt collection). I've also had no mystery calls on my phone in the last 3 months that haven't left a message so that was another lie on their part. I"m refiling my complaint with the FTC for their business practices as well as alerting UH Finance Department Managers on the actions (and lack thereof) on their part so that they're fully aware of the shady firm they've retained.

They has all of my information and did NOT do anything for me. They pushed all the leg work off onto me. It is now a year later, and nothing has been done, my score is worse now, and I wasted a hundred bucks. Do not use them! You can do all that they offer yourself for FREE!. You are entitled to get your credit score from all 3 agencies for free and dispute them yourself. In my case, someone stole my identity and I found out the hard way that these people can and will do nothing for me even though I sent in an initial payment, which they kept even after accomplishing nothing and I even asked for a refund form the 'owner' several times for non-performance. I have all the emails for proof. Again, do not use them, they're a rip off. Unless it is so easy that you can do it yourself for free, they will not/won't be able to help you.
