They were rude and condescending instead of being helpful and understanding when I had a misunderstanding of what numbers were needed for a shared branch account. I simply provided what was listed on my statement. Ive listed the same numbers before with other tellers and they have never told me I dont need the last 5 digits of the shared branch number. So how would I know? They found my account pretty quick (cant be more then 5 minutes), so not sure why their fuse was so short. I hope this is NOT how they usually treat customers, especially if they're elderly where extra help is needed.

The reason I'm writing this review is because of my gratitude to WCFCU helped me rebuild my credit score. I ended up with no credit card for about two years thanks to college spending. My financial record was spotless after graduation: no personal loans, no student debt, not even a late phone bill. Still, banks wouldn't issue me credit. I couldn't even get a department store card. That's how bad my score was. Once I landed steady work, I applied for WCFCU's secured card. It was no-frills, had a bearable APR, and required a cash deposit for collateral. I deposited $330 into an account: $300 for my actual line of credit and an extra 10% for cushion. (Note: That money is returned if I cancel this card.) This was my second chance. With this credit card, the only thing I charge are my monthly bills: Netflix, Verizon, my local newspaper. My bill is the exact same amount every month and it's paid in full each time. At first, it wasn't a big deal. About six months after getting the secured card, I started getting junk mail from Capital One. In my head, that meant they wanted me back as a customer. If it wasn't for this credit union, I might still not have a line of credit. I might never have learned how many ways good credit impacts your life or to achieve it. I am unspeakably grateful to this credit union for the second chance it gave me to build good credit while still young. MAHALO!

Recently I was gathering my tax documents ready for my CPA but could not locate my 1099-INT from CPB. I was able to obtain a digital copy via their chat message on their mobile app but noticed the document's font was on the small side. I forwarded the digital copy to my CPA and was concerned about possibly misreading the 1099-INT so I decided to stop by CPB's Kaneohe branch. Located on the far end corner of Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center that's near Donut King and across the street from Leonard's Malasada Mobile at the corner of Windward Mall, this branch is one of CPB's 27 locations statewide. They are conveniently located in Kaneohe with ample parking and also operates 6 days a week. Plus, they are near my part time job. I walked up to the teller on a State holiday afternoon with no line and requested for a duplicate 1099-INT but it was tricky as I had changed account registration after opening my account in September 2025. The teller had to reach out to another employee for assistance. It was perhaps a matter of less than 10mins for the teller to obtain a more visible 1099-INT. I then hand delivered this to my CPA's office a few days later as the receptionist at the CPA's appreciated a more legible copy. Mission accomplished.
