Recently I was gathering my tax documents ready for my CPA but could not locate my 1099-INT from CPB. I was able to obtain a digital copy via their chat message on their mobile app but noticed the document's font was on the small side. I forwarded the digital copy to my CPA and was concerned about possibly misreading the 1099-INT so I decided to stop by CPB's Kaneohe branch. Located on the far end corner of Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center that's near Donut King and across the street from Leonard's Malasada Mobile at the corner of Windward Mall, this branch is one of CPB's 27 locations statewide. They are conveniently located in Kaneohe with ample parking and also operates 6 days a week. Plus, they are near my part time job. I walked up to the teller on a State holiday afternoon with no line and requested for a duplicate 1099-INT but it was tricky as I had changed account registration after opening my account in September 2025. The teller had to reach out to another employee for assistance. It was perhaps a matter of less than 10mins for the teller to obtain a more visible 1099-INT. I then hand delivered this to my CPA's office a few days later as the receptionist at the CPA's appreciated a more legible copy. Mission accomplished. I'm very pleased with the service so far extended to me at CPB, especially the willingness to resolve my issue and attend to my banking needs. 2026 #45

My aunty has her account at the Waipahu branch of American Savings Bank. I'm lucky that this Kaneohe Branch is associated with her Waipahu location because I needed to deposit money into her account for her Real Estate Taxes. Uhg. It was an unexpected expense. It's good that I went through her mail and found the bill before the due date... LOL! Anyway, this Kaneohe location has a free parking lot with a rather narrow driveway. The interior is nicely air-conditioned, clean, and spacious. After the deposit, I wasn't able to get the balance because only my aunty can get that information. I just wanted to be extra sure that she had enough money in her account to cover the check to the City... The receipt didn't show her balance. Oh, well...

Short answer: No. No he did not. I bought a 2011 Golf GTI from this dealership (hence forth referred to as SCAMMER) and for 7 days it was fine. On the 8th day the transmission started acting up. I thought, maybe it just needs some service as it was an older vehicle and the fluids in the DSG had probably never been changed. I was correct, the fluid was quite filthy and hadn't been changed. This did not fix my issue though. The transmission would not shift above 3rd. If you came to a stop it wouldn't shift above 1st or second. Sometimes it would come out of gear altogether. This indicated a failing transmission or a failing mechatronic unit. So, I reach out to the scammer and told him what was going on. Instead of offering to take a look at it, like he said he would be happy to if anything came up when I purchased it, he blamed me saying I probably drove it too hard and broke something or that I just don't understand the DSG transmission in these cars. Since this is the 5th car I have owned with a DSG and I knew how to diagnose this issue, I immediately assured this asshat that I was not the reason for the failure and that he had clearly sold me a car with a transmission that he knew was on the way out. So, he offers to bring it into his shop, phase 2 of his scam, and says they will repair it for free. He not only runs a stealership containing cars that should be in a junkyard, but also owns a repair shop. This shop apparently has one mechanic, who only works on Fridays or Thursdays or whenever he feels like. No one really knows. He claims he pulled my transmission out and replaced the whole thing. This was a lie. He also claims they changed the clutch packs. Lie number two. The only thing I can confirm they did was remove the transmission, put it back in, over torque ever bolt they touched, and attempted to have the transmission reprogrammed. This obviously didn't work. And all of that took them 3 months to do. Every time I asked for an update I would get some answer like, oh it's all buttoned up, we're just installing a new clock spring. (Another issue the car was sold with.) Or "It'll be done next Friday." (I heard that one 3 weeks in a row. So I finally just go and get the car back, seeing that no work is actually being done, and they are NOT going to fix it. I paid $8k for a car I have driven a grand total of 8 times and can no longer drive because the transmission is shot. Oh, the scammer's website also offers a $500 military discount that he doesn't actually include in the final price. Furthermore, no military member should be doing any work with this guy. Whether it's buying a car or repairing one. Commanders and SELs should tell new arrivals not to do business with this con artist. All the positive reviews you see on this page or elsewhere are either friends or family. I didn't see one single car on this asshat's lot that looked road worthy. Yet they all seem to be able to pass safety inspections. He's an idiot at best and a thief at worst.

There were 4 people who needed to use the ATM in the 15 minutes that I waited.
