Can I give ten stars? Honestly, they earn it. I just had a company try to rip almost four thousand…read moredollars out of my account, unauthorized. This bank stopped that transaction. I had my card on a list of stolen numbers, and I never even saw any bad transactions. They immediately issued me another card. This bank is on their toes! I just found out that their credit cards are far superior in lower interest than the ones that I have (switching to their cards). Also, I have bought Six Flag tickets and other entertainment tickets from them (huge savings for members). Now, that already puts them at ten stars in my book. But, even more than is how personable, friendly, and home town feel this bank gets another five stars. They are very helpful and courteous. If not for St. Louis Home Retention, we would have lost our home to foreclosure. We are…read moreself-employed, business had gotten very slow and we were behind in our payments. We had tried to work with the lender and complete the loan modification forms ourselves but to no avail. I had heard the St Louis Home Retention ad numerous times on the radio and finally wrote the info down and contacted them. I told Steve everything, and it was bad, and right away he said they could help. We met with Steve back in October and he told us exactly how the process works, how long it would take, (it is not a quick process thanks to the lenders) and how much it would cost. We signed on, and then Doug and I spent quality times together with emails, phone calls and paperwork till March, when Doug called me and said not only were we approved for the loan modification but our interest rate was 2% and our payment was over $700 less. Twice the lender set the sale date for the foreclosure sale and all along Doug kept telling me, don't give up. Kathi stayed on the lender everyday to make sure they postponed the sale, while the lender kept requesting more paperwork. Every time the lender asked for more paperwork, Doug would send it to them before the due date, I think he wore the lender down! There is no way we ever could have filled out all the paperwork per the lender's guidelines. Finally, the lender approved us, St Louis Home Retention got the deal done! It was an emotional roller coaster and when Doug called with the fantastic news I cried, I was so overwhelmed with emotions. We will be forever grateful to Steve, Doug and Kathi.
