However something I find very frustrating with this location is that the tellers seem to think they work in retail sales, and will hold you hostage trying to open credit cards and new accounts, even ignoring when politely told that the customer is on a strict time limit. I had a hard credit pull take my score from Good to Fair after spending years working to improve it, and then was essentially ghosted by the staff and never able to get the account open! I did not hear back until after the pull had expired and I would need a new one! Very poor service. I have been hounded every single time I am in the lobby about opening more credit cards this past year or more. I can guarantee regardless of whatever the corporate office thinks, NO CUSTOMER likes to be hounded this way! It does NOT work in the credit unions favor. Sales is NOT a tellers job! Customer service is. They are not equivalent. If someone wants a credit card they will ASK. Please learn from your mistakes.

I then applied through the U of U credit union, which I have been a member of for only five years. They quickly approved the loan, with a reasonable interest rate. They were congenial and efficient. Coming from an out of state bank that had zelle implanted in it making cashless payments to people in ANY bank. They added a second car with no problem, and charged me immediately, but it took many months to apply the discount on my monthly bill. My new agent sent aletter to indicate the change and though I had been paying manually for 6 months they withdrew $225 from my account. I was connected to "John P." from Salt Lake City whom was unbelievable rude and couldn't answer any questions of mine. I don't know how he is a customer service agent in the first place since he wouldn't listen to my questions or concerns and was giving me the same advice over and over: call back the next business day. He didn't even know how to answer my basic questions, which lead to my frustration and me asking to be connected to a manager or supervisor. I asked him for his name, which he then started YELLING and rambling off this information to me. I again asked to be transferred which he said he couldn't do, and then asked for my name. At this point I was in no mood to humor him (and was feeling uncomfortable) and asked ONCE AGAIN to be transferred. All he did was place me on hold (not transferring me). My advice: if you call customer service and get anyone named "John" from Salt Lake City HANG UP IMMEDIATELY.
