Their fried chicken sandwich was audibly crisp with fresh tomato and lettuce that I made two meals out of. To end the perfect meal... my husband actually coordinated with staff to create "Gender Reveal" pancakes! I didn't realize what they were until I got to the yummy surprise! Their cream is delicious! The pancakes were soft and sweet! The experience, unforgettable. It brought happy tears to my eyes and we really appreciate the thought and care put into our day. One thing I love is that they switch up the steak portion of the menu a few times a year, and it never disappoints. Right now they have the steak au poivre, which is incredible, although I'm still craving their steak frites and hoping it makes a comeback. The escargot and French onion soup are also favorites of mine. At this point, June's has become a staple in our house--usually with a couple of Diet Cokes and either the burger or whatever steak they're featuring. A few of my friends swear by the chicken sandwich (fair warning: it can get a little messy!), the half roasted chicken, and the tuna crudo, so you really can't go wrong no matter what you order. On top of the amazing food, the staff is always incredibly kind and welcoming, which keeps us coming back. I definitely recommend making a reservation since it tends to get pretty busy, especially during peak hours.

Once I joined the queue, I was number 43 and ended up waiting about an hour and a half before being seated. I understand that popular restaurants can have long wait times, but the lack of transparency about how the process works made the experience more frustrating than it needed to be. Once inside, the ambiance was actually quite quaint and charming. That said, considering how much traffic this restaurant gets, I was surprised by how limited the space is. I honestly think expanding the property would make a huge difference, although I understand that may not be entirely within their control. One thing I will give them major credit for is the menu. Online, the selection makes it look somewhat limited, but once you're there, they actually have 50+ food options, so there is plenty to choose from. That was definitely a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, my entrée was disappointing. I ordered a shredded beef taco with salsa and substituted a side salad. The beef was extremely tender, but unfortunately, it was also very dry. The salad was another disappointment because the vinaigrette was honestly not good. I don't think I've ever had a vinaigrette that I actively disliked until this meal. Thankfully, my fiancé had a much better experience. He ordered an enchilada and said it was one of the top five enchiladas he's ever had, so clearly there are some standout dishes on the menu. That definitely made me curious about trying something different if I ever return. I also really enjoyed that they offer hibiscus tea. I was very happy to see it on the menu, although I personally think it would be better served on its own rather than incorporated into one of their mixed drinks. The drink itself was just okay, but the hibiscus flavor was great. Overall, I can see why this place has become an Austin staple, but I think the experience could be improved significantly by making the waitlist process much clearer online and by improving the consistency of some of the food. The menu has a lot of potential, and clearly, some dishes are excellent! Unfortunately, mine just wasn't one of them.

They had a baked apple seasonal option while I was there and it was amazing. Traditional breakfasts are also delicious and far more manageable. There's no big sign on the window indicating the restaurant's name, just a plastic A-frame sign outside the building's doors. When I got there, four of the eight tables were empty but the dirty dishes had not yet been cleared. It took close to 10 minutes for the tables to be bused. Because the kitchen is so small, I'd recommend going up to the counter to order as soon as you get there. I believe you can also place your order online using the QR code on the table, but I didn't try that method. I ordered the lox n found, a toasted croissant roll with smoked salmon, avocado, dill ricotta, arugula, onion, and capers. The menu says it also comes with a side of roasted potatoes, but mine didn't come with that. The sandwich was delicious and filling, so I definitely didn't need them, but I do feel like I didn't get what I paid for.

If you are looking for a quick and cheap hunger fix this is not the place to go. Being that my buddies like to chill at the Woodrows downtown I have made several attempts (four to be exact) to find something on the menu that is even decent. Not only is a small bowl of queso and a few tacos over ten dollars, nothing on the menu contains much substance. (The steak and cheese is the most decent fyi) I had some 'veggie' tacos last night which stopped my fun having venture quickly. They are made of a simple mixture of corn and some cheese/egg/tofu like substance and a corn tortilla. When I took the taco back up to the guy in the stand he told me it is cheese that is usually thought to be tofu- then he sent me on my way without replacing or refunding anything. I ended up in bed with pepto bismol tablets within the hour. Hell's Tacos sums it up nicely. read more

I went to Little woodrows last week, and found out that One Taco replaced the Texadelphia Truck, Im Glad. The guy recommended me a Steak Taquiza, the corn tortilla and the steak were delicious!!. Just a heads up that you'll need to ask an employee for the restroom key code. If you're staying in downtown Austin, this is an easy spot to get to and absolutely worth the visit for a great breakfast taco. I had to go back and buy it when I saw the taco didn't come with any. HORCHATA: Best thing I had here. Super flavorful. It tasted like there was a lot of vanilla in it though, which I thought was weird. I've never had horchata with vanilla and it didn't mention it on the menu. But at least it was good and had flavor.

The refried beans were really tasty. The green sauce is a little chunky which is nice.
