We rented a Suzuki Ertiga from Only Rent A Car in Downtown Oaxaca, we travel to Oaxaca often but always take public transportation. This time we decided to opt out of using taxis since they get expensive. We had a good experience with Only Rent A Car, I checked online and got different quotes from other rental companies. We decided to rent the car in person. They gave us a good price for a seven seater vehicle. They were more reasonable than other companies, I'll definitely rent again from them. Mariana was very helpful and informative. She even gave us recommendations for local restaurants. You can communicate with them through WhatsApp and get a quote. The only downfall about renting a vehicle and staying in downtown Oaxaca is parking is scarce. They did charge a deposit on my credit card, it showed as pending and cleared a day later after we returned the vehicle with no issues. You'll have to park in a private parking location called a pension. Check with your hotel if parking is available with your stay they might have an agreement with a near by parking lot. ¡¡ BEWARE !! We booked a car on the website, payed for it online, but when we arrived at the office, there were no car available ! The person here made us wait for 20 minutes before telling us this, for nothing. We had to look for another rental place and paid 50% more because it was the same day and the last car available. We waited for the refund, which did not arrive, and had to go back to the office at the end of our trip to ask for the refund, and the worst began. They said they COULD NOT MAKE A REFUND on the credit card, nor in cash, and offered to make a paypal transfer on my e-mail... Seriously what kind of company is that ? Of course, they could not make it immediately and not before next monday... Of course the next monday I got nothing... Then they just don't answer any of my e-mails for weeks... Finally I got them on the phone after a month, they want to do a wire international transfer which would cost huge fees. I refuse, and they accept to send me money via Paypal. BUT they said to Paypal it was a commercial transaction (like when you buy something on eBay), so I had to pay commission fees like a seller, and the money was blocked until they receive the package they ordered, which is obviously a non-sense. I'm pretty sure they had no intention to unblock the money, fortunately I managed to unblock it right away by calling Paypal on the phone. They just said they were not used to make refunds. They NEVER apologized once. I chose ONLY rental because of the good reputation they had, which I don't know how they got it because they clearly don't care about customers and tried to steal me.
