I will definitely update my review when I go back again as I went on opening day. One, the portions are big enough to definitely get full but not to the point it's obnoxious how much food you have. We got some takeout and we weren't disappointed. We lived in Hawaii for 6 years and ate lots of Filipino and Hawaiian plate lunch type platters. Nice Filipino/Hawaiian eatery located on the intersection of Madison St and Mission Ave in Olde Towne Bellevue. Decided to finally try and I'm happy to say that everything went very well. Service is very friendly and swift. Seems like they genuinely care about the customer's happiness. The food is very unique and flavorful; the cabbage bearing a sweet scent similar to Hawaiian pizza, it tastes sweet and delicious. The Lumpia egg rolls were packed with juicy flavors and tasted great. The pork tastes very flavorful & is cooked to satisfaction. The rice has a taste similar to the Hawaiian cabbage; it maintains a rice flavor but is at the same time sweet like the cabbage. The pancit noodles have a fresh taste similar to that of the other various Mai Fun dishes I've had. Prices are very reasonable here. You get a really good portion of food for what you're paying for. Overall, I can't think of anything at all that went wrong with my experience here. Everything is really good - the delicious food, the hospitable service - and I highly recommend this place if you like to eat Filipino and/or Hawaiian food. read more

Food was good and the Filipino food was authentic. The staff was kind and the service was wonderful. They've only been open 2 weeks and are understandably learning their demand, so the menu is small but yummy. The location looks handicap accessible but the entry door may be tricky without assistance. I look forward to the outdoor patio in the summer, as I can imagine a nice amount of foot traffic in that area. There's no need to be a Pacific Islander to enjoy these meals. I'd definitely return with some friends to try their other dishes and hope to catch their pop-up menu sometime soon! read more

I've tried this place twice now (and really wanted to love this place so bad)but have to say it's just OK Filipino food being Filipino I've tasted better food out there and can cook it better myself at home. That being said I had to give them stars for their excellent customer service. I hope they're able to add more to their menu, improve some of their recipes and have better hours. read more

So I love that it's authentic food. I went there on a day where they only had the buffet available, you couldn't just order off the menu (that can be a negative if you were hoping for that). Everything I tried I liked. Hot, flavorful, authentic food. However, I feel like some of the negatives are limited seating, limited options, and they can run out of food so timing might be a factor. Very tasty, and the chef and staff are so sweet! I got the adobo chicken, which was super tender and the lumpia was great. The chef came out and checked on us twice, asking for our thoughts and thanking us for being there- angels! That said, I removed one star because they ONLY use disposables- styrofoam to go boxes, plastic cups, and plastic silverware. Very tasty food but I won't go back unless their eat-in option is sustainable. Maybe it was just that they are so new and waiting on getting real plates and silverware- I'll check back in on photos some other time and update this review if so! read more

Several people I know think Ono Pinay is great. Based on the extensive amount of Hawaiian and Filipino food the family and I have eaten around the USA and Pacific (ie, Hawaii and elsewhere between Hawaii and Philippines) , we were not terribly impressed with the kalua pork or ribs lunch plate. Or rice or pancit or ensaymada. However, I am willing to give it one more try, with an updated review and better rating, if the second attempt is better. Probably my fav place to eat now. We tried the stew and Kalua Pork and it was so good. Large portions so we only split 2 plates between the 4 of us. The kids got their Hawaiian flavored drinks. We got the Hawaiian rolls with Ube ButterMochi inside for dessert and you can tell they were baked that day. Most of all, it really felt like they had the Aloha Spirit when you walked in. The owner talked to us about Hawaii and she was so incredibly kind. Maggie was SO kind to my kids and my family... it was honestly the highlight of our week going to OPK. Here on a business trip. As I walked in I was greeted with a smile from everyone that works there, as if I was one of their regular customer. So I ordered my food and sat down, to my surprise, I was serve with a plate full of "goodness", it was a lot of food and they were all good. Now, that's what I call comfort food as if I was home eating Mama's cooking. To top it off, I was given a bag full of my favorite desserts to take back to my hotel room & FREE! So good!!!! I travel all over the country for work and I am always looking for good food and I turn to yelp to help me find it. I was in Omaha, well Bellevue, working at Offutt and was looking for a place to have lunch. I lived in Hawaii many years ago and im always down for a good local plate lunch so I gave this place a try. The food is so so good and the ladies who work here are very friendly. I was really hoping this place would be great because I'm Filipino and from Hawaii but this place was not worth the hype. Not good at all. The fried rice was oily and overdone. I'm not sure how but they managed to overcook parts of the lechon as well as under cook it. There were chunks of fat and the little meat that was there was burnt. The pancit wasn't good at all. We did go on opening day so it did take a while to get our food. I'm really hoping that they found a better system of ordering and getting the food out to customers because it was not working. We ordered drinks and had to walk to the bar area in the back, literally stood there for 5 minutes, maybe longer, while the girl working back there was texting away on her phone. There wasn't a line or anything. She was just on her phone. Honestly it was such a waste of money going there. Big let down. read more
