My husband and I had the most positive experience here for a last-minute date night without our kid. The restaurant was very clean and beautifully decorated. The good vibes started right away when we were instantly greeted with an "Aloha" from one of the servers, who ended up being ours for the night! He was so upbeat, attentive, and kind. We truly hope to have him again next time we visit. For drinks, my husband ordered the Lonebirch Cabernet and loved it. Such a great bottle of wine. I ordered the Bibimbap, which is my go-to every time we come here, and it was absolutely delicious as always. I love all the vegetables it comes with, and once it's all stirred together with the rice, every bite is packed with flavor. Perfection. My husband tried something new, the Steak + Frites and completely devoured it. He said the steak was delicious and the fries were perfectly crispy. You could tell everything was fresh. Food was very good! Seafood is the base of the menu! The presentation was what I noticed right away. The chef seems to really make sure each dish comes out appropriately in that way. There seemed to be a little bit of a longer wait later in the lunch hour with what seemed like a fairly empty restaurant- not sure if that is normal! Regardless, each meal that came out was great! This was only my second time in here in a few years, and I love the atmosphere! It feels very classy and modern, and a great professional spot for a business lunch. I got the Bibimbop, which was not my personal favorite. This is 100% due to the fact that I don't typically like the flavor of the gojuchang sauce it comes with (I totally forgot this when I ordered). Luckily both the sauce, and the kimchi are served on the side, as I don't enjoy either. This is just my personal taste, not this restaurant recipe. Otherwise, this meal was great! The salmon and shrimp were cooked very well, as was the fried egg on top. There were more veggies than I expected, which was nice! It was odd to me personally eating raw vegetables, like cucumber, cabbage, and carrots out of a hot stone bowl, But I think this will be much better for those who enjoy the flavor of this sauce when you pour it over! So I wanted to try Pacific Eating House. The waiter told me that the chefs fly to Hawaii a lot. So I wanted to try out how there food what. I ordered the Loco moco mochiko chicken ahi poke bowl ribeyes steak and some dessert. So for starters the loco moco was yummy nice thick burger with rice and an egg on top. And really tasty brown gravy. The mochiko chicken was delicious nice and juicy. The ahi poke bowl was ok. Small pieces of ahi not like the picture I was and the rice was a little overcooked. The ribeye was good nice wine flavor and garlic butter. The shrimp and fries was good as well. The fries were nice and crispy and tasty. And the dessert was good. There I lots of seating in the restaurant and outdoor seating as well. I think if you're looking for something yummy and tasty take a drive and check this place out. read more

Met some friends for happy hour. It ends at 5:30 so the time is not great if you work. I had to go find our server to get a drink. The drinks were ok and the wine a good price for happy hour ($6). My first time here was great! I went out for a girls night out. I started with a Tefi mocktail, and while it is quite spendy for NA, it was fresh and tasty, just small serving size. I also opted for the Lucky Tiger and was SO impressed. It was delicious. I got the bread basket for $5 and the bread was kind of stiff/stale but could just be the types they put in. I saw in photos there were 3 types, but I only received 2 types. I also added an order of fries, and they did not live up to the hype, but the handful I had were good, I just wouldn't order then additionally again. The steak was fabulous, cooked well and I liked the fresh veggie sides and rice. Overall, it was a pricey meal for one at $50 but I was treating myself. We had a work meeting here recently on a Wednesday evening and had reserved the small party room near the entrance for it. Unfortunately it was a very cold day with winter weather warning, so the restaurant was very empty, but we did get great service. I got the Pacific Mai Thai and it was excellent. All the flavors you'd want from a tiki drink were definitely present and the foam on top was a nice little texture change. I got to try the Brussels, cauliflower app, the GOAT, and the lahvosh and all of them were so good! I probably preferred the lahvosh and GOAT over the Brussels just because it wasn't quite as crispy as I like my Brussels, but overall can't complain about the apps at all! I was disappointed with the lack of vegetarian options. When asked, they told me they could make the stew and the salads vegetarian, or they could double the portion of the Mac and cheese, which is vegetarian. I opted for the Mac and cheese and it was not the right decision. The dish lacked flavor, which was surprising given how good the apps were! The Mac and cheese was clearly an after thought. Unfortunately the dessert options weren't much to write home about either. Our group sampled the Nanaimo bars and the malasadas. I tried the malasada and, while tasty, tasted like an ordinary sugar donut. I would come back here, but personally just for drinks and the apps, and the service. read more

Pacific Eating House is a casual, coastal style seafood eatery that has high quality offerings for being located in the middle of the country a thousand miles from the nearest coast. We visited with our Supper Club group, and they were able to seat us easily at one long table. The ambiance was light and airy, with surfy/ocean style decor around the interior. Our server was knowledgeable about the food and drink menus, which was nice. They had the Kona "Big Wave" beer that I hadn't seen in a while so I definitely grabbed that. Such a chill and refreshing beer - definitely makes you feel like you're on a beach somewhere. I had the Twisted Sister, which was a perfectly cooked salmon that came with an avocado aioli on top, as well as a little side of super tasty peanut miso dressing. Yum! Out of sheer curiosity, my husband got a cheeseburger (at a seafood restaurant), but he said it was surprisingly well made for not being their speciality cuisine. My friend got the Cod and Chips, and was so nice to share a bite with me. The filets were so tender and tasty. I will definitely be ordering that to have a full plate of it next time! We have been meaning to try PEH since we love the food in Hawaii and it did not disappoint--very authentic ingredients and flavors. Not mention, I love a place that serves wild fish! I stumbled into this eatery on my way to another establishment next to it. They have their menu posted on the window, we took a look and decide to give it a try. First impression of the inside was good, it looked clean, organized and it had plenty of seating both inside and outside. We came on a Sunday so it was a pretty quiet day. They have happy hour options on this day all day. We started with the bread basket which was good, the herb butter was delicious. I also had a cup of the clam chowder which was ok, it came with a cracker like bread, maybe a slice of sourdough would have been better, I didn't mind since we had the bread basket already. It's been a while since I was at the Pacific Eating House. The first time I was here I had a wonderful experience and enjoyed the food which was excellent. This time I really appreciated the fact that they took my reservation and even accommodated a request to be seated in a quiet area so I could catch up with some old friends. Parking is free and convenient. The restaurant itself is pleasantly decorated and exceptionally clean. I was pleasantly greeted, and immediately seated with my party. Our server was very nice and was patient when we explained that we needed time to catch up a bit and continue to check on us will taking care of the rest of the dining room. He replaced a glass of Prosecco that seemed a little off without hesitation accommodated a request to take orders and expedite food for one of the party that needed to get to an early afternoon meeting. The foods that we ordered were fairly simple and included two different kinds of soup, a lavash, a salad, and some tacos. Unfortunately, the food seem to be a bit of a problem. The soups were cold, and the clam chowder that had been delicious upon my first visit was so thick that you could stand a spoon in it and over-seasoned with the celery /dill flavor that was not the same flavor from my last visit. The tomato soup again was exceptionally over-seasoned and too spicy. The lavash was over cooked and dry. The desserts were nice, but there was an inconsistency to the overall meal that was disappointing. I would probably give Pacific Eating House another try, but I would have to see a better quality of food to bring me back there again in the future. read more

Happy #ThankYouThursday to Pacific Eating House! I have a lot of great things to say about this place - but honestly I think the pictures do a pretty great job themselves. The North Shore Fries are not only beautiful, and picturesque - but delicious as well. Any time I return, these will 100% be ordered, and consumed. Our visit to PEH was pleasant and flavorful. We sat at the bar, as they were pretty busy the night we visited - and despite the drinks that were flying off the shelves we were still treated well and our service was very prompt. They even offered to make me a dish what was no longer offered on the menu - that I saw posted in one of their reviews and was attracted to. The menu is diverse and offers both seafood, and land-based animal food options as well as a healthy array of gluten-free and vegan foods! Okay, I had to do an updated review because this place blew my MIND. I wanted to try it again because I love the healthy options they have to offer and the quality of fish they have.. it's bound to be good, and I must've just ordered the wrong thing last time. ANYWAY, the food : I ordered the Halibut with fingerling potatoes and I think it changed my life. Straight up. It was the most incredible plate, at least top 3 that I have ever had. Everything from the fish, the marinade, the potatoes, the asparagus, I am literally drooling as I type this. The entire plate went together and complimented itself so well, and I couldn't get enough. The portion size was also perfect and exactly what I needed, not too much or too little which I appreciate. The fish wasn't fishy or gross it tasted super fresh and just like halibut should!! You guys - I could go on and on about this plate and how fantastic it was, my mom even wished she had gotten it! She got the cold noodles which she liked equally as much, and I can confirm was good because I tried some of hers! I didn't give it five stars because I wasn't a huge fan of our waitress.. she was good she just had a peculiar attitude that kind of makes you feel small :-) which isn't a fun feeling. Other than that I really do like this place. It's clean, bright, coastal, AND it has outdoor seating! I wasn't sure what to expect when coming to this restaurant, but I'm ready glad I came here :) All of the food was at the perfect temperature regarding freshness and everything had great flavor. The clam chowder was PIPING HOT and the consistency was thinner than most chowders, but I think it was one of the best I've had. The tacos were great, just not my favorite dish personally. The rice on the side was extra moist and seasoned well, which added to its enjoyability. Although, I thought it was weird the bread and butter weren't complementary, but I think it was worth the money. Finally, the dish that was the most appetizing and crave-able was the cookie topped with ice-cream. It was so warm, gooey, chocolatey, and delightful. The ice-cream and spearmint leaves really made this a cohesive dish, because it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. The servers were on top of it and seemed like actual people, which I liked . We ate outdoors, but the overall vibe from the restaurant gave me a dark oceanic inviting feeling. It's a nice restaurant, but not one you need to wear a suit for. Parking is in front of the restaurant with lots of space, so no need to drive to find a parking space. On the weekends I would recommend making a reservation since it's gets packed! On a recent trip to Omaha, we visited Pacific Eating House. Upon first impression, it looked very nice. There were decorations in various shade of blue and some wood accents. We had made reservations in the special party room for 12. I thought it would be too small, but to my surprise, it fit us all comfortably. Immediately after being seated, we were asked for our drink orders. I just stuck with water, but my younger sister ordered a black cherry Shirley Temple and my older sister and cousins ordered lemonade. My 6 year old cousin said that his lemonade tasted sour, but my 15 year old sister was pleased with her order. About 10 minutes later, after scanning the appetizers on the menu, we ordered various munchies to sustain us before we ordered our food. Let's just say they didn't last long! I recommend getting the fries. They come with wild shrimp and various house made dipping sauces. After consulting the menu once more, we were ready to order. I got the JDF Tacos with the Twisted Salad. After about 10 more minutes, our food was brought out. The presentation of my tacos was gorgeous; there were 3 colorful tacos, citrus garnish, a drizzle of a spicy red sauce on the side, and the salad as well. I finished the salad and ate two of the tacos. Similarly, the kids meal presentation was great as well. My cousins and sisters all ordered the kids menu, which came out in a ceramic box. It reminded me of a fancy school lunch tray, just more box-like! The kids menu meals each had fruit, fries, and edamame, as well as the main menu. However, although the presentation was nice, the kids grilled cheese was responsible for the 4 stars. My older sister and 6 year old cousin both ordered the kids grilled cheese- and they were not pleased! The sandwichs were filled with a sour goat cheese, which gave the sandwich a weird texture and flavor. I am normally pretty adventurous when it comes to food, but I even disliked the grilled cheese! Until the cheese is changed, I would not consider this place picky child approved. However, in the gluten free department, I was quite impressed. The menu clearly labeled gluten free options with a yellow GF. My young sister ordered the kids sliders with no bun. At first, we were worried they forgot her order when it didn't come with the rest of ours. However, our server informed us that they had accidentally put it on a bun, so she made them redo it. We thanked her for her celiac knowledge. Overall, the Pacific Eating House is pretty tasty. They have a wide variety of appetizers and dishes. They present their dishes well, but are not picky child approved. However, they excelled in the gluten free department! I recommend if you like this style of food. read more

The food has been fantastic on some visits and sub par on others. Not sure if this is due to kitchen turnover and/or inconsistency in following recipes. I had a perfectly seasoned fish and chips one trip, and the next, there was no flavor, at all. The ambiance would be a little better if the lights were not so bright...I will keep going back as I am big on supporting Mom and Pop establishments. Pacific Eating House is very similar to Twisted Fork. I can hands down say- this has the best Ahi and raw fish you can get in a not-yoshitomo/or umami sushi restaurant in Omaha. They fly in the Ahi weekly from Hawaii and take special care to give their customers the best experience. The menu is mostly seafood, and they have a price range that might make it more of a "date night" type place for a lots of folks. I think its worth the venture to have some good quality fish and seafood. read more
