Skip forward to 2025 and I drove across town to here here again craving some good Korean food. Oh how sad I was. The newer photos are from August 2025. I arrived at the end of what should have been the lunch rush but the food was obviously old. Not to mention basically cold. The only truly hot thing was the crab rangoon I got instead of an egg roll (my request). The food is no longer good. Apparently the older lady retired and sold to someone else. They claim to be using the same recipes, but it doesn't taste the same. Everything seems more sugar and bland at the same time. The sesame potatoes, which were my favorite thing here, are gross now. The cucumber kimchi is SWEET. It isn't supposed to be sweet y'all. Everything seems extra "Americanized" now. The portions are still huge, but the price now matches it. There are better and more authentic Korean restaurants in Omaha than this place now. Hard pass. I hope she's enjoying her retirement at least; she earned it!

We are Korean and my parents are super picky about food and they said that Korean House is the best Korean food in Omaha. If you want good Korean homestyle cooking, this is the place. We moved here from Southern California where there is really good food, and my dad said their kimchi jjiagae is better than Ktown in LA. I love that they have Hawaiian style meat jun. Their jap chae is soo good and soft...I love it. And their squid too! You can't go wrong with the food here. The owner is friendly too and played with my kids when we were there and kept them occupied. :) It is a little far from us from West O but definitely worth the drive for good Korean food.

We also tried some of the yakitori - grilled meat on sticks. I strongly recommend the tako yakitori. I'm not really into tako poke (Hawaii dish), but this tako with that miso panca sauce is super ono. Full of flavor with a touch of spicy. I could eat that all the time. The five-spice old fashioned they have is also delicious. Service was excellent for us. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself has a/c and gives an izakaya vibe familiar in Hawaii. Also, I saw people come in with t-shirt and shorts for dinner. So I guess there isn't really a dress code here. As others have mentioned, Koji is a sister restaurant to Yoshitomo, and the menus of both restaurants do overlap to a degree. However, Koji has MUCH better parking than Yoshitomo. Trying to find parking for Yoshitomo or Ota can be a pain since it's all street parking. Koji is in a strip mall with its own parking lot (free parking too). I will definitely return here whenever I'm in Omaha.

One of the places we always stop in the Omaha area is the Nebraska Crossing Outlet mall which is actually in Gretna NE (just West of Omaha). I remember there being a Runza at Nebraska Crossing; the sign is actually still up on the highway markers too... I Googled for Runza and looked around for one...and I guess it's no longer an option. But I did find Kong Dog...! Not to be confused with King Kong Burgers... Kong Dog is Korean corn dogs as well as wings, sandwiches, and a whole line of drinks. Oddly enough the wings etc. are not mentioned online..., but are featured on their in store menu board. Only the corn dogs and drinks are shown online. While the girls were at Coach and my buddy was at Nike I slid over for an original all beef sausage corn dog. The original coating is more sugar than anything. A combination of sweet and savory! You order and pay at the counter. My wait was only a few minutes long. With this being an outlet mall location the space is small and they have low top tables and chairs as well as a counter to sit at along the windows. Handed over hot and fresh. It was a huge mozzarella stick, but it lost me with the mayonnaise. I think I might have enjoyed it better if it was the hot dog included instead of mozzarella. The employee that I interacted with explained the menu and was very nice and friendly. The tables needed to be wiped down, but first appearance everything appeared to be well kept.
