We've eaten here several time and usually have the tasting menu. This time we decided to order off…read moreof the menu and loved everything we got. I'd say the regular menu is the way to go! We always receive great service, everyone is very knowledgeable about the food and are super friendly. We sat at the bar and the service was no different. Started with the Tuna Crudo and Chicken Mole Ravioli. The cracker with the Crudo and fresh jalapeño was spot on. The flavor of the ravioli was amazing, moist and a little sweet with a great sauce. For mains we had the wagyu tri-tip and pork secreto. The beef was perfectly cooked and paired with green beans and potatoes. The pork had a nice char and came with broccolini, peaches and potato chips. Both were so good, we were scraping the plate to get every last bite. If you haven't tried Au Courant before you need to get down here!

It all did seem very lemon heavy. Maybe that was the fruit of the season for early summer. Idk. The wine pairing girl was so funny. She just had an air of silliness and chillness to her. I was wondering if she was tipsy herself. Maybe from testing the wines to remember how to describe them lol. This is a pretty cramped restaurant and the tables are small.

Finding good sushi in the middle of America is certainly a treat. And at Koji, the sushi here is…read morecertainly good. Tasted fresh to me! (although I think the fish is cured to retain freshness) We ordered a couple rolls, but mostly stuck to the nigiri. The Hama toast, prairie tuna, and yaki gindara were all ono. The yaki gindara tasted like butterfish sushi, but with sablefish rather than black cod. Also, the rice used for the sushi tasted similar to the rice used in sushi in Hawaii. We also tried some of the yakitori - grilled meat on sticks. I strongly recommend the tako yakitori. I'm not really into tako poke (Hawaii dish), but this tako with that miso panca sauce is super ono. Full of flavor with a touch of spicy. I could eat that all the time. The five-spice old fashioned they have is also delicious. Service was excellent for us. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself has a/c and gives an izakaya vibe familiar in Hawaii. Also, I saw people come in with t-shirt and shorts for dinner. So I guess there isn't really a dress code here. As others have mentioned, Koji is a sister restaurant to Yoshitomo, and the menus of both restaurants do overlap to a degree. However, Koji has MUCH better parking than Yoshitomo. Trying to find parking for Yoshitomo or Ota can be a pain since it's all street parking. Koji is in a strip mall with its own parking lot (free parking too). I will definitely return here whenever I'm in Omaha.

This woman owned business has been in the south Omaha area for approximately 4 to 5 years and…read morerecently opened its newest location at 132nd and center. I've been to this location before but it's been a while and we really enjoyed coming back. Came in on a Saturday afternoon when it's fairly typical to have live mariachi bands roving the restaurant. The restaurant is large, and has a fun fiesta of decor. We were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated without reservations. It should be noted that they will take reservations during the week, but not on weekends. There are a number of large tables that can accommodate bigger groups. Complementary parking lot is available out front. However, it does get a little tight during their busy times. This is an interesting Mexican restaurant as it reminds me of something more typical of what you would find on the Yucatán peninsula. Shrimp and mixed ceviche dishes, a large variety of fish dishes, including whole fish that are very traditional for that part of Mexico. They also serve excellent salsa and guacamole, however, this is not the type of Mexican restaurant you can order dishes of queso, or some of the more traditional dishes that you would find at other, more Americanized restaurants. Our server, Christine V was super! We got there a little early in order to secure a larger table off to the side since our infant granddaughter is going to be joining us for a birthday celebration. This restaurant well they don't allow you to bring it outside cakes for dessert offer a variety of desserts that can be offered for special occasions. We were able to select a strawberry Tres Leche cake, which was just perfect for the occasion. We also enjoyed their margaritas, which were excellent and offered in the variety of enormous proportions! Everything that was ordered, was generous in quantity and delicious and quality that included a variety of fajitas and shrimp dishes. This location also offers seafood rolls that are prepared at a sushi counter. For those that are a little less brave there are a number of options that offer everything cooked and prepared just like you would find in any local sushi restaurant and as good. The one thing I also love about this restaurant is that it is immaculately clean. There's a dedicated crew that roams and never leaves anything unbussed for long. Everything appears to be wiped, sanitized, and swept in between every round of customers which is brisk. The manager came around and checked on us to ensure we have everything we need and offered us to go bags. Everything about this visit was very positive. Highly recommend this location as it's been voted one of the best of Omaha for 2023.

We initially decided to come here because our daughter's name is Isla and we thought she would think it was cool to see her name when we explained to her what it was called but the food will definitely motivate us to come back. The service was hit or miss and definitely on the slower side, but we will definitely come back to try some other new dishes next time. I can't actually find it on pictures of the menu, but the dish we ordered was served in a pineapple and it was phenomenal!
