Simply amazed! Sure, Son has great reviews and I originally found out about his services through ModBargains.com, who I have good trust in as a company. Still, I didn't think much could be done to salvage the two factory 19" wheels on my '11 335is. It maybe took Son a little over an hour and I just couldn't believe my eyes. Knowing where the damage was I could see that something was different about the wheel, when looking up close. But, stand away a couple feet and the wheel looks perfect. This place is AWESOME!! Son (and Eddie) are not only two of the nicest people I have ever met but Son is a true artist when it comes to wheel repair. I have a 2013 Lexus IS250 that had curb damage to the left front wheel and freeway damage to the right rear. Needless to say, after Son was finished with them they look brand new again. I found Son and his business Onsite Wheels via Yelp. They stood out due to the number of reviews they had as well as the high rating. So I read through several reviews (the good, bad, and middle of the road) to get an idea of what type of work Son does. After being satisfied with the research and reviews I read regarding a few other shops, I reached out to the 3 I selected (to include Onsite Wheels) to call to have them answer some of my questions and get a quote for painting brake calipers. Son's knowledge, the number of high reviews on Yelp, and his price quote are all what made my decision easy to go with him. And now that the product is finished, I couldn't be more than happy how they turned out. I had my Audi's brake calipers painted in gloss black with S line high temperature stickers applied (provided those myself) and a clear coat over it. While it's only been a day, I can't stop looking at the (cosmetic) improvement this made to the look of the car. If you're a bad driver like I am and the curb is not so friendly to your rims, this is definitely the place to go and get them fixed. Son is truly amazing and deserves nothing less than 5 stars. Long story short, I curbed the front right wheel of my Infiniti, which are painted a powder coated matte black. The paint chipped off and there was noticeable damage. Naturally I freaked out, until I was recommended to Son. He quoted me $80, which to me was a reasonable price, and so I drove from LA to Garden Grove to have the wheel repaired. Upon arriving there, there were 2 other cars there for the same thing. Son was really gracious and mindful of his customers and took the time to acknowledge everyone's damages. Since this is a relatively easy fix for him, he did each car simultaneously while he had his necessary tools out. He was very considerate of the fact that I drove over an hour to see him and tried to do his job as efficiently as possible, so as not to keep me waiting. The whole process took probably 20-30 min and he did an excellent job of paint matching the matte black. The wheel looks as if nothing had ever happened. As I was getting my wallet out, he cut the price he initially charged me in half. I ended up giving him a generous tip, which still amounted to less than his quoted price. Son is a very hard worker and extremely humble. I am definitely recommending him to my friends and I know I will probably be back soon myself. read more

my friend curbed his Volk TE37 rims :/ he made an appointment with Son who said to come in anytime before 5pm that day. Son warned my friend that it would take a while, which was expected because there were three rims that needed to be fixed. Son offers you a car in case you want to drive somewhere to get something to eat. Bring a book, tablet, or anything else to work on if you plan to wait there. my friend says "I definitely recommend Son and his partner, and will be returning if I ever do something stupid to my rims again..." I took it to another place and they said they can guarantee fixing the rash, but don't know if they can match the bronze finish, uh no thanks! I scraped my front right rim and rear right rim within a week of each other! Such a bummer, especially when you hear and feel the metal on curb noise! I was gonna try and live with the damage but I decided that it bothered me too much. Yesterday, I started to do some research on rim repair and stumbled upon Son's page. I am so happy that I did! Not only does he do amazing work, but he's super professional and knowledgeable. And his prices are fair and super competitive. I called him on Friday and set up an appointment the next morning. I showed up early and he looked at the damage and then gave me an estimate. He told me since my rims were machine cut that it would be hard to match the repairs perfectly but that in order to do so it would cost double because a special machine would be needed. After reading his other reviews and seeing before and after pictures, I felt that I had complete confidence in his work so I decided to have him fix it on the spot. Man am I glad I did! Not only was the work done in an hour he talked to me throughout the whole process which was super nice! And the match was perfect!!! I can't tell where the damage was at all. I decided to try Magician Son after reading all the positive reviews and seeing all the pictures of his transformation and without a doubt he is the magician. I just bought a 1999 carrera 996 and it had a lot of curb rashes from the previous owner on both the front and rear passenger side and after Son was done, it looked like it was brand spanking new. I recently had a terrible shop inflict a multitude of scratches in a set of gunmetal rims while mounting tires and balancing them. After doing some research, I found Son Tran on yelp and his name mentioned on many forums. His reviews and overall rating here on yelp and the unanimous praise he receives on the various car forums is well deserved. He's a bit of a legend on the forums and his work is near magical. Not only were my wheels completely repaired to the point where all the damage was corrected, there was no evidence of any repair. His work is excellent, he was able to match the color perfectly and is probably the nicest, most honest person you can meet. He's friendly, talkative, doesn't mind you watching his work and will go out of his way to make sure you're satisfied. In addition, his prices are extremely reasonable and downright cheap for the quality of work you receive. He is a bit hard to reach, but it's only because he's so busy and reflective of the high quality of his work. He's mobile and I believe works mostly in the LA area during the week, but on weekends he's in Stanton for those in Orange County. For all the places you go and feel 1 star is simply too much, 5 stars isn't enough to accurately rate Son's quality of work, prices and friendly customer service.
