The lobby area is super convenient and customer friendly, open 24 hours a day, very clean and lots of counter top space to prepare packages to ship. There is a self service station that allows you to ship mail or packages any time day or night, with out the hassle of standing in line. You can also purchase stamps and shipping materials here. The window service area is open m-f 8:30-5 and on Saturdays 8:30-12. Great service and they always seem to have specialty stamps exspacilly during the holiday season.

It's a well-maintained little building on the corner that's bright, clean, stocked, and never crowded. I sure hope not, because I value our neighborhood post office, I use it regularly, and I am grateful to the staff that provide such great service!

She was replaced by a very sweet and bubbly younger woman. I finally mustered up the courage to ask about the other lady whom was always rude to patrons (Think- "NO SOUP FOR YOU!" type of personality). I was informed.... she was "Promoted"... ha! Well anyway... its certainly improved this place! Lastly, and the most important part..... they always have all the new stamps, but they go fast....since they are a smaller location, they don't receive as much stock. Get there fast!

This is such a tiny post office that it is easy to miss. They close for lunch and when they do they…read morelock the building. The building is also locked for the day when no one is there. This makes it tough to get your mail because the only door they have is the outside door. This means that if you can't get there during business hours then you can't get your mail. The people that work there are nice once you get to know them. I don't appreciate having to wait to pick up packages though. I'll get a slip in my mailbox and get told that's it's on the mail truck. We get our mail delivered to our house and they won't drop my packages off but they will drive around with them. That's seems weird to me.

I just started bringing my baby boy here for weekly Storytime a few months ago. We go to quite a…read morefew different libraries in the area for Storytime, but this is one of the few with playtime to follow. Of course, that's everyone's favorite part! They have a great little play area for kids, too, so our weekly visit has turned into a several times a week visit to play and find new books and DVDs to borrow, and the librarians remember us. They're all super helpful and friendly. My little boy loves coming here. My only wish is that they would host a monthly (or weekly!! Daily?? ;)) sensory playtime like some libraries do occasionally. We love the community feel here though, and can't imagine not coming here now that we've started.

A great running/biking trail is available just off of the parking lot. Additionally there's an ice cream shop right down this path for when you return. I brought my kayak out here today and just after a few paddles I had the view pictured below just off of the shore! Being able to see through the clear, clean water at the fish below definitely makes this paddle a bit more fun than some smaller bodies of water.

Seneca Falls, the gateway to the Finger Lakes, is a town steeped in history with all the modern…read moreelements. Its not too big or too small, its a perfect size to have a few coffee shops, real parks, bookstores and more. There's a lot of water around. Lakes full in fact. This played a major role as the town developed. The early settlers knew water would be critical, and they decided to build here. Seneca Falls became a village around 1830. They built canal locks around the rapids, and by 1830 the canal was connected to the Erie Canal, which of course lead to much larger markets. Seneca Falls is named after rapids (falls), and some companies located there for the waterpower the falls would generate. The railroad connected them to more of the world by 1840. There are companies that remain in Seneca Falls today, some having worldwide impact like Gould Pumps. In addition to industry, there were some social movements happening in Seneca Falls. There was significant support for the abolitionists, there were stops for the Underground Railroad, and of course the first women's convention was held here, making Seneca Falls known as the "Birth of the Women's Rights Movement". Today its a tourist attraction, some come for the history. Others for the lakes. More for the Montezuma Refuge. Still others to visit students at the Chiropractic College, one of the best in the US. Its also a great place to visit "just because". Cute town, easy walking, friendly. I saw a sign that said it was also the inspiration for the town in "Its a Wonderful Life", not sure of that's true though. 5 stars because these small towns are great to visit. Here in the NE there is a lot of history, the people tend to be friendly and the environment pleasant. 1950
