Coming out of my Yelp hiatus just for this one. I'll start with the good: seemed clean, Trisha did a great job on my pedicure. The bad: TL;DR 4 technicians and 2.5 hours later for basic services and subpar nails. *Made the appointments the day prior with whoever was available. The salon was unaware of who I was in reference to an appointment or what I scheduled when I walked in. When again sharing the services I needed, I also said we're doing nails that may require some experience (which was also mentioned on the phone when I made my appointment). I asked for builder gel with extensions, as they advertise they do and why I selected this salon. *My appointment started with a pedicure about 10-15 minutes after my appointment time. *I told the owner what nails I wanted. I waited another 15 minutes for the next nail tech after my pedicure was finished. When I finally sat down, I showed her the inspiration photo, she started to take my dip powder off, then abruptly stopped. I was told I need to wait another 10 minutes for a different technician. I finally get the next technician, she looks at my nails and my inspiration photo, and walked away within 60 seconds. She says nothing to me. *Another tech comes over (we're at the fourth tech in total at this point). He looks at my photo and is very unhappy. Tells me they'll break, which I know isn't true. So finally, I just ask to give me regular builder gel in a single color. I had to ask repeatedly to make sure my nails were uniform in shape and length. So, I didn't get the nails I hoped for, the nail job was shoddy, and it took 2.5 hours to get it done. And wait until you see the inspiration photo--it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. read more

My boyfriend and I came here for the first time, and unfortunately our experience was very mixed. The woman who did my boyfriend's pedicure did an excellent job, and the woman who did my pedicure was incredibly kind and also did a great job. Unfortunately, the man who did my acrylic nails did not do a good job. My nails were bumpy, uneven, and not smooth. Thankfully, another technician fixed them, corrected the shape, and they turned out much better. The part that left us feeling uncomfortable was how customers were treated. During our pedicures, my boyfriend and I were only offered water. We noticed that every Caucasian customer we saw was offered mimosas or wine, including a couple sitting next to us who also said it was their first visit. Meanwhile, every customer of color that we observed--including us--was only offered water and did not receive the same level of hospitality. We also noticed a Caucasian woman who appeared to be a regular customer receiving exceptional treatment. I'm not saying I know anyone's intentions, but this was the pattern we personally observed during our visit. As people of color, it was difficult not to notice the difference in how customers were treated, and it made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I believe every customer deserves to be treated with the same courtesy, respect, and hospitality, regardless of their race or whether they're a first-time or returning customer. I appreciated the technicians who did a great job on our pedicures and the technician who fixed my nails, but I hope the salon reflects on how all of its customers are treated so everyone feels equally welcome. read more

I've been coming here for about a year. I love a few of the nail techs. (Kim, Lily, Trish and Hoa) My boyfriend loves Mimi for his pedicure. I tend to interchange techs based on who is available when I schedule appointments. The salon is nice and clean. They offer you complimentary wine, mimosas, water or juice. My only issue is as soon as they give you the service sheet where you pick a service package for your pedicure, the techs always try to tell you to get the most expensive service and if you decline it and opt for a cheaper one on the list they get upset and talk about you in their language. I always get package 2 which is $54.00 I don't need the paraffin wax and a 10 minute massage. Another issue with this place is they push for gel. If you decline that they get upset. I assume that they push this aggressively because it gets the techs more money. I have observed how the owner walks around and says things to the techs and when she walks away the techs whisper to each other in their language about whatever it was the owner said to them. It's like this place is ran like a sweat shop. That's my observation. This place is expensive compared to other nail shops. I was just here this past Saturday with my boyfriend who got a pedicure (75.00 plus a $10.00 tip) I got a fill on short nails with French manicure, pedicure with French manicure ($54 pedicure $10.00 for French manicure, Fill $40.00 $10.00 French manicure, $10.00 tip for nail, eyebrow wax $10.00. You do the math. Do I recommend this place? I personally like my nails and get compliments on them often but I know there are more places cheaper than here minus the complimentary drinks and glam of the shop. The technician pointed to the two most expensive pedicure treatments, asking which one I wanted but when I asked for the most basic, I felt she intentionally did a bad job. She did not file or even out my nails, trim cuticles, nor clean up the nail polish on my skin. At the end, she hurriedly put on the disposable slippers as if she wanted me to leave before I could see. Honestly, one of the worst pedicures I have ever received. I wish I could go lower. First off I had an appointment at 4:30 for a pedicure and it was booked early on that week. It was for July 3rd and I Got there at 4:25. Was sat at about 4:50. The place was packed and I get it cause it was holiday weekend. Anyways a friend of mine went with and we both got sat. The lady gets started on my friend and I'm there waiting for about 35 mins when they finally have someone come over. If they were that busy they could have communicated. But I'm like whatever I'm here either way so I let her get started and honestly, I'm a pretty observant person just because I don't know. I get nervous and I noticed that she was grabbing tools to clean my toes with except for those tools were not in any bags or sterilize things. They were just thrown in a basket, she then starts my pedicure. Does the entire thing throws those exact tools into the basket oh no sorry she throws them into my dirty water where she has now cut and trimmed my nails and my feet have soaked off all the dirt from that day. She then gets them out of the water uses one of them to do more work on me and then throws them in the basket. So I immediately get disgusted and then she starts doing my entire pedicure and at the beginning she kept trying to pressure me into the number three and I was like no I just need the number two and so anyways I got the number two, but when she was doing my toes, I noticed that she was going really fast and I was confused because again my friend was getting the number one and she has started way before me and I was way past her and so it confuse me well anyways while she was doing my toes she ended up cutting my toe pretty badly. She then put some kind of liquid on it without even telling me and it burned, and then she dunked my feet into the water to try to get the blood to stop, and then when she brought them back up, she tried to put the liquid back on the toe again to get it to stop bleeding because at this point, she tried everything and it's not bleeding because when she cut it, it was pretty bad. It didn't stop when she put pressure and it didn't stop when she put. I don't know what you would call it like a bandage on it and then with the liquid or with the water and then the second time the liquid, and then I think she just kind of gave up and she kept using the microfiber towel that my feet were laying on to clean off all the blood which I thought was super unsanitary and then she uses that same microfiber towel and like walks off with it to use it to wipe down her tools and then go use it with another client. Anyways, she goes and grabs the hot towel that she's supposed to grab, and then she comes over and like basically rubs my leg and then walks off if that makes sense and the towel was cold. It was not hot, and then I heard her timer going off and I was like I'm so confused. She never gave me a massage or the Gallagher remover at all and if anything like the scrubbing of the hills wasn't even done properly and then she gave me the bill and it was $54 and I was like well dang I hate to be one of those people, but that's not really fair that I'm paying all of that for the number two when I didn't get half of the stuff and I'm now left with like bleeding and the fact that it was super unsanitary by using tools on each client that were never washed or infected, especially the ones that touched my blood and then to not even clean out the tub afterwards they just put somebody else there and put her water on as if I didn't just get my entire foot cut into there with blood. Either way I then let the lady know which I'm assuming is the manager and she offered me I think five dollars off or $10 off and at the time I was like so rushed because at this point we had been there for hours and I was just like OK that's fine and rushed out. Now days later. Almost all my paint is off and my toes are like infected and bleeding. I'm in so much pain still from the cut as well. Either way i obviously won't go back and although I've never done a review on anything in my life, I genuinely just want them to be more aware that they really suck with the customer service and they need to practice more cleanliness because I would hate for them to get sued for people getting infections like I'm considering! read more

I really like to have nails that are navy friendly. They have to be within regulations, but I like to feel beautiful and creative. This place is really pretty, and they offer complementary drinks. They complained that my nails were too short but In the photo with the pink nails a different salon did them with my SHORT nails and they didn't not once pop off or break in half. On top of that I showed them the reference I wanted and told them I wanted it exactly like the photo but In blue. THEY DIDNT do nothing right and didn't do it how I wanted it at all. AND THEY are expensive for no reason.. almost $200 for an acrylic mani pedi.. that's outrageous especially when they didn't do it how I wanted. The vibe was not right. I called and asked for acrylic, they didn't do that, I got gel which is not the biggest problem. I was told on the phone that it would be $50 and when I go to pay they say $70. Great service from the staff, we were greeted upon entering and requested for 2 pedicures and they immediately sat us down. Lynh & Hoa gave my partner a mani pedi while I got the organic spa pedicure which came with scrub heel, trim nails, clean cuticles, callus remover, sugar scrub, 10 minute massage, hot stone, and polish. It also came with a mask that left the skin on my legs feeling super soft. The salon is towards of the back of the plaza but there is plenty of parking in the lot & it's conveniently located next to a boba shop which was great lol Prices were fair & they do state on the list of services that they give complimentary drinks but you may need to ask for them because they weren't offered to us.
