I've been taking my dog Olive to Ooh Puppy for years and I'll just say it's a great, affordable and smooth experience every time. Lisa has the magic touch with dogs. Never once have I've heard them barking or reacting when entering. Not once has my dog ever reacted negatively to Lisa either. She is super friendly, kind and professional and put dogs at ease. I'll continue to go to Ooh Puppy for as long as I can and highly recommended it. Oh and today I mentioned my daughter and dog were taking Senior Portraits and she said she would add something extra pretty for her. I asked her if she could do pink and she did at no cost and it matched my daughter's dress perfectly! Thanks again Lisa!

Had our little terrier girl get her early warm weather cut. First time visit, will be forever a customer. They cut her nice and short as I requested, cut short around her face and mouth, clipped her nails & even cleaned out hair from inside her ears that 3 groomers I have gone to that they would not do. She was done in an hour. She was accessorized so cute. When done they have them placed in a separate crate from other dogs. The place was clean, love the safety gate as you came in. Price was surprisingly reasonable.

Yes!!! I've bought our 2 dogs there several times and they would really try to accommodate you. The lady owner is very nice. I loved how she trimmed my pup's hair with a few matting here and there. They did a great job! I will bring him again today for the grooming so he looks great again!

I've been to several groomers around the la mirada / la habra area, and a lot of them made my dog's hair (chihuahua terrier mix with long coarse fur) look choppy after the cut. Not to mention, they charge $60+ for the whole package. This is my second time at Ooh Puppy, and the groomer here is so consistent with her work while keeping her prices reasonable! My dog always comes out looking clean and I'll definitely be making this place my regular spot from now on.

Lisa and her staff are amazing! My doggie isn't the easiest to groom and have her nails cut but Lisa and her crew always make my doggie looking GREAT! 10 out of 10. I highly recommend this groomer!

I cannot say enough about how happy we are with the service here. I came in looking for help with my lab, she has a triple coat and skin issues. The care they have shown has been amazing. Over the last year I have tried several different dog groomers, and by far "Oh Puppy" is the best experience I've had from dropping off my dog Tyson & picking him up. The staff here are so friendly and definitely take care of my dog & let me know how the visit goes from my dogs point of view which I truly appreciate each time. I even took my grandmas dog after she had runaway from home and we found her an hour before they closed letting them know the story they stayed past closing to clean her up. As an honest review this place rocks!

My partner and I took our 6 month old puppy Puff to Ooh Puppy for her first grooming and we couldn't be happier. They answered all our questions, we were told it would be about two hours, our pup was ready to be picked up an hour and a half later. Puff's coat looked well moisturized, her nails looked great, and we loved the bandana they gave her. Puff didn't want to leave and kept licking her groomer, we could tell she was treated with care and we can't wait to bring her back. read more

I've been coming here for 4 years! I'm happy to see the original owner is back!! She is just so lovely and kind. My Zack loves her and she is so knowledgeable. We are regulars and come almost every other week! That should say a lot. Prices are incredible compared to its competitors. They ALWAYS make time for us and we do a lot of walk-ins! BEWARE!!! Horrible groomer that does not know how to groom breeds of dogs. Took my pomeranian in for grooming and they completely ruined my dogs beautiful fur by shaving him. This will permanently damage the dogs hair and will now never grow back the same. read more

I want to give this place more stars, but honestly. It was apparent they weren't very experienced in the handling of medium to large sized dogs. They muzzled my dog before even attempting to do it without one and the minute he entered the shop. My dogs nails were obviously not cut, and not even dremeled. All I went in for was a nail trim, but the only thing they really did was cut the hair on his feet when I didn't ask them too. I can't vouche for their quality of service in hair cuts or small dog service. But as a previous groomer, and now dog handler and trainer. It didn't seem like they were comfortable providing this service to dogs over 30 pounds? I would recommend all about puppies across the street if you're hoping to get quality work for your money. I heard about Ooh Puppy through a good friend of mine who has been taking her dog there for a few months now. I gave it a shot and took in my boy, Kumo. He's a chowsky mix that really needed some work around his ears, face, underbelly, butt...pretty much an all around clean-up. Lisa and her team did such an amazing job on our little dude. He was really scared at first going in as he doesn't like going to the groomer's, but Lisa made him comfortable right away - her experience with dogs truly showed. We picked him up with a fresh cut and even a cute bandana :) Thank you, Ooh Puppy, for the great customer service and excellent work on our son. We'll be back soon! Lisa is such a kindhearted soul who offers such great care for my dog Moca. My dog is a little hard work with, but Lisa manages to make it work out somehow. Worst groomer experience I've ever had! The price, which was higher than our regular groomer, seemed to come out of the sky as it went up while I was standing at the counter to drop him off. (The posted sign said $55 for "big dogs", but I was told $65 when I dropped him off even though he's only 35 pounds [big dog?], then $70 when I picked him up.) Before leaving, I specifically told her that I only wanted him to have a bath and trim around his feet and belly. When I returned three hours later and was told the price was higher than when I dropped him off, I questioned her about it. She asked if I was a first-time customer and then said okay to our original price! What??? After paying and including a tip, she brought out my dog. I was speechless as his entire body had been shaved, from his ears to his tail, plus she was very rough with him when she handed him to me. I left without saying another word in fear that my words would not be kind as my filter isn't great! I can only hope that his fur grows back like before and it's not permanently ruined! Advice, if you care about your dog's coat, definitely stay away from here! read more

I asked for a Summer Cut on my Golden Retriever, she seemed confident and asked if she'd like her tail trimmed too. So, I felt confident in her experience and YELP reviews. BUT I AM SO DISAPPOINTED. Her undercoat is gone and has a 1 all around. This could or may PERMANENTLY damage the integrity of her coat. A Summer cut is a trim not a shave. read more

I was trying out a place on imperial and Valley view closer to my house and they ended up having an allergic reaction. I have never had any kind of crazy incident here. I bought my dog from Lisa 4yrs ago. And I recently started to come get my dog groomed here because the other place I was cutting her skin every time she went. I brought my dog here today and the owner Lisa was so friendly and made sure to get the correct haircut for my dog. I usually am picky with dog grooming salons because my dog moves a lot but Ooh Puppy handled Ari so well and made sure she left fresh and clean!! I will definitely be coming back here. read more

A friend of mine referred Ooh Puppy to me because my dogs needed some intense grooming. I brought my two dogs Theo and Maya to get groomed at Ooh Puppy and I think that Lisa and the others did such an amazing job with the grooming! Lisa herself is an extremely kind and caring owner, and I could tell that she treats each dog with love and patience. She is extremely gentle so that my dogs never have cuts when they get groomed, and I think that she groomed them so well. My dogs tend to be extremely hyperactive and a little difficult to deal with sometimes, but Lisa showed her expertise when it came to handling my dogs. I was so happy with the way the grooming turned out, and I will continue to go to Ooh Puppy in the future for grooming and other services. Definitely worth it, and I would recommend Ooh Puppy to anyone that needs quality grooming. I would give Ooh Puppy a 6/5 rating if I could. WONDERFUL! read more

PLEASE READ: Lisa is AMAZING. Not only does she call you to remind you that your dogs need to be groomed but she always listens. She has been doing our 4 yorkies and ALWAYS does an amazing job with them. Lupe is a wonderful groomer and really does a great job with your dogs. I am happy to say that my wife and I travel at least 30 minutes each way and never regret spending that time to take them to Lisa. I being taking my dog ( FROStY ) for many years to OOh Puppy ..and even through they are far from where i live i wouldn't take my dog anywhere else those 40 mins drive are worth it..they have the patience with grooming him and they do a wonderful job his hair is cut right..nails clipped .and the price it right.. frosty loves going there and knows the employees he wags his tail when we walk in and happy to see them i am a very very satisfied customer if i could give them more than five stars i would give them all the stars in the sky.. if u haven't been there.. try it u must see for yourself Ooooh Puppy is one of the best grooming places ....i totally disagree with all negative comments made by others.. read more

Whenever I am near Ooh Puppy I HAVE to stop in!! So, 2 days ago I popped in and my heart strings were plucked!! Purchased an AKC French Bulldog, absolutely beautiful from the tips of her ears to the tip of her tail. The owner's are amazing. Family owned and wonderful to deal with. We communicated via phone and text. Lisa is always prompt at responding. Our little girl is in excellent health, properly UTD on all vaccines and wormings. Can't say enough great things about Ooh Puppy. I highly recommend Ooh Puppy to be the first place you check when looking for your next furbaby!! This groomer Lisa is the best! I've been to several different groomers, and they were all inconsistent. Every groomer has its pros and cons, but Lisa has been consistent with her grooming style and with the length of time it takes for the grooming session. I feel safe leaving my maltipoo in her care. My maltipoo has anxiety and is extremely shy, but he's in good spirits when I pick him up. It's apparent that Lisa has a passion and connection with dogs. I will definitely make her my groomer of choice. read more

I took my cocker spaniel to get groomed and I couldn't be happier. My dog was suffering from an ear infection and the medicine I was giving him made his ears secrete, Lisa was able to clean his ears very well and he hasn't had an issue since. I've been taking my two dogs here for a long time now. I've never experience and problems like all the bad reviews. Before Ooh Puppy I went to another groomer that kept my dogs in a cage from 7:30 to 3pm simply because I was new client. I didn't like that. It should be first come first serve, which is why I switched and I Love Ooh Puppy, the owner is very nice and accommodating. Dogs always groomed perfectly. Ooh! Puppy's selection of puppies were amazing and they were really cute. They gave me the opportunity to touch their puppies. They were all well groomed and in good condition. In other pet shops, puppies smell, however these puppies did not smell and it was evident that they were well groomed. The owner gave me free treats for my dog and to this day they groom my dog, just the way I ask them to do it. I will continue being the loyal customer that I am today. read more

There are so many bad reviews about this place but I've NEVER had a bad experience, but, I only let my groomer Yvette groom all my dogs. She's awesome, knows what shes doing and above all she does exactly what i want(I'm very picky). I have a two Yorkies and a Maltese they get puppy cuts all the time. So everyone here who has had a bad experience maybe you should try her out! She prefers by appointment only so i txt her my appointment twice a month. read more

Lisa, the owner, has been extremely kind and helpful. My son purchased a bulldog two years ago and she just birthed 6 puppies. Lisa has walked us through the AKC registration and title transfer which she absolutely didn't have to do. Our bulldog, Loni, is beautiful, healthy and has a wonderful disposition. It was also a welcomed treat that Loni was potty trained when we brought her home. I love Ooh Puppy and especially Lisa. read more

We bought a French bulldog puppy from Lisa. She gave us a fair price for the dog and products that we needed for the puppy. A neighbor has bought 2 puppies from her so she recommended us to go there. This is the only place i will take my dog to get groomed. The staff is friendly and helpful. My dog has had some issues with his ears that i wasn't aware and they advised me about it. I took him to the doctor about it and the doctor said "that is a good groomer to catch this and tell you" great job ooh puppy! Keep it up! read more

Our regular groomer has never had any issues with him, but this groomer told us they had to physically restrain him and that he pooped on himself. When we picked him up, he smelled strongly like fish because he had expressed his anal glands, which had never happened before. At his next vet visit, our veterinarian immediately noticed he was much more anxious than usual before they had even touched him. After I explained what happened, they told us that dogs can express their anal glands under extreme stress and were concerned he may have had a traumatic experience while being groomed. We will never bring our dog back here. We'd rather drive an hour to our regular groomer, where he feels safe, comfortable, and happy.
