What a phenomenal experience. We took a chance on UNA being new and haven't heard of the chain…read morebefore, but every single thing we ordered was great. Ambiance felt casual enough, but the environment was bright and warm. And our server was a delight, she was very attentive and genuinely very accommodating. Food: - Whipped Ricotta: 10/10 Beautiful, a must get. My absolute favorite dish of the night and the reason I'm even writing this review - it was THAT good. The ricotta is smooth, sweet, and garlicky. We ordered the tomato dipping sauce on the side to add to it, and that added a layer of acidity that was reminiscent of a fancy pizza in itself - Green beans: 6/10 Nothing special, bacon was good. Sauce was fine. Really just a solid veggie dish if you're looking for something green to eat - Karaage: 6.5/10 Not really actual karaage, texture was stringier than a juicy piece of chicken, but it's definitely covered in togarashi (spice) for an added kick. The dill sauce was great though - flavored really well. And adding the tomato dipping sauce to the chicken was actually a next level elevation - Vegetarian pizza: 7.5/10 Those mushrooms were so flavorful in every possible dish and this was no exception. Crust was light and crispy. All the vegetables were seasoned so well. - Gnocchi Bianca: 9.5/10 Beautiful. Delicious. Gnocchi was perfectly cooked with a soft, pillowy texture. Sauce was creamy and not too salty even with the smoked bacon. - Pumpkin cheesecake: 8/10 Texture wasn't too heavy. Flavor wasn't overbearing. Whipped cream was thicker than expected - but its flavor was decadent without being too much. Great taste. Wonderful experience overall. Highly recommend.

Fantastic friendly service and love the decor and design here. If you haven't checked it out yet, I would highly recommend a visit. Five Star I absolutely love love love the New UNA Edmonton.

Portions were very large, we ended up sharing two plates between the three of us. Chicken thigh plate and Chicken kafta plate was amazing. There was also a layered lotus biscoff cookie trifle that was out of this world. They come to your table and pour a complementary deliciously sweetened black tea to go with everything as well! We loved how they did a high pour when serving the black tea. We also had a chicken wrap plate with fries. Everything came with salad, hummus, garlic sauce, and rice.

I am giving a two-star review because I'm comparing my Jerusalem Shawarma's South Edmonton Common…read morelocation experience to my consistent five-star Jerusalem Shawarma's Oliver/Downtown location experiences. We tried the South Edmonton Common location for Father's Day as it is closer to our church. We've chosen Jerusalem Shawarma as the place where we celebrate special family occasions over the past year (including my wife and my 15th anniversary which was amazing). My family took me early for lunch at the South Edmonton Common location on Father's Day and ordered our usual Meat Lover's Plate and donairs for my son. A young man with the warmth of a rock in the rainy day outside, poured us less than a half little paper cup of tea that in our experience has been consistently filled to the brim. My Meat Lover's plate ($25.95) had buckets of rice on it, some salad, four tiny pieces of potato, a teaspoon of humus and way less meat than my son's donair ($13.95). It was disappointing and I regretted ordering my favorite at the South Edmonton Common location. I wish that I had a donair or shawarma instead and was thinking the whole time about how much I wished that I was at Jerusalem Shawarma's Oliver/Downtown location. Comparatively, the ambience is so much better there, too, as the South Edmonton Common location has booths with ripped seats, and expansion to the bay next door which feels like an active construction zone and not a restaurant. The best part of our South Edmonton Common location experience was the lovely man in the red hat (one of the cooks) who kindly gave me some pistachio baklava for Father's Day and made a lovely comment about the soccer jersey I was wearing. He shared some of the warmth and hospitality that we've come to expect from our consistently amazing experiences at Jerusalem Shawarma's Oliver/Downtown location.

I had ordered a wrap instead of a sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff was lovely to accommodate me by removing some items off the predesigned list for the wrap due to diet restrictions. The wrap itself was burrito sized, so be prepared for leftovers if you're only slightly hungry. The cookie I had was massive and soft! Honestly with the bubbly, cookie and wrap it was a full sized meal for supper (for me). The extra Yelp bag of goodies was definitely an added YES surprise! Thank you to Vilma & Earl of Sandwich for such a lovely summer treat.

Surprisingly they were quite delightful and aren't too expensive. I went around 12:30pm on a Wednesday and it was quite busy. The line went by quick. I tried the Holiday Turkey and my partner tried their Original 1762. The Holiday Turkey literally tasted like a holiday turkey in stuffing within cranberry sauce. I was pretty satisfied with how spot on the taste was and it made me feel like I was eating a Christmas meal. My partner enjoyed his Original 1762 roast beef sandwich. Both sandwiches were flavourful and warm. They give you an option to choose between whole wheat and white bread. We got the combo so it came with soup and a soft drink as well. They gave us an empty cup for the soft drinks and it was self serve at the counter. The chicken noodle soup was well made also. Overall I definitely recommend checking this place out if you haven't. The sandwiches were filling and worth the value.

We've also almost ate all the meat before rice was provided. Regardless, the food was still good. Ordered fried chicken, spicy pork belly, corn cheese and more and they all tasted great.
