The food is consistently excellent, and the holiday buffets--especially for Mother's Day and Father's Day--are always a highlight. The building itself is stunning, filled with history, character, and beautiful architectural details that make every visit feel special. Whether we're dining, meeting friends, or simply enjoying the atmosphere, the experience is always exceptional. The Harvard Club offers a unique combination of tradition, hospitality, and elegance that keeps us coming back. It's one of our favorite places in New York City, and we enjoy every aspect of being members.

Almost like walking into a movie set or walking back in time. It was decorated from top to bottom and from side to side and I almost forgot I was in NYC. The chair we were sitting on wasn't very comfortable. It was heavy to move and hard but the table was large and spacious. Food wise, I had their crab cake for appetizer and their rib eye for entree. The crab cake was okay. I prefer if the side crust was more golden and crab meat was mixed a little too much so I couldn't taste the lump crab meat itself. Steak was good and tender but wish they gave a little more mash potatoes. As for dessert I had their tiramisu and thought it only tasted okay. It's not the authentic traditional tiramisu that I was craving for. All in all I'm glad I came here and got to experience what the Harvard Club is all about.

I was a guest of a member during the 18-inch snow storm, so I wore my $500 dollar suede Danner lights (Made in the USA) to manage the snow. Upon entry, I was informed by the staff that, due to the suede being too light, it looked too much like Timberland boots, which are banned. I was professionally whisked to a backroom, where I was offered to wear black loafers 3 sizes too large if I wanted to make my appointment. I spent the rest of my time skipping through the venue in order to not trip over myself, wearing massively oversized shoes. I would have been okay with this footwear restriction if it was universally enforced, but there were plenty of people in the club wearing duck boots, metal hook leather hiking boots, and even the same type of boots of a slightly darker shade. Apparently, the shoe shade restriction was not something members are aware about (the no sneakers restriction is well known). I have previously been a guest here with positive experiences. However, today I was put in an illogically unsafe experience, forced to wear loaner shoes 3 sizes too large, because $500 lighter suede boots are deemed less classy than duck boots for being too"Timberland like" during a snow storm.

My head was on a SWIVEL ready for someone bursting through a door with an axe. I was completely lost looking for "Room #4," and began to spiral. I soon realized that I just took the wrong elevator, and found the room pretty easy once I took the correct elevator lol. Once I gathered my composure and found Room #4, I could finally appreciate how stunningly beautiful this place was. It is like an Oligarch's MANSION straight from the 19th century. It's tasteful luxury, when luxury meant more than just cookie cutter modern architecture. They had an open bar and some bomb horderves all night, with my favorite being this fresh tuna on top of a cucumber. I ate like 30 of them. Me and the lady in a tuxedo walking around with the tray became well acquainted. I honestly have no real idea what this place is, but I imagine it's a members only club where the rich and famous gather to make important decisions. That's the vibe at least. Kinda eerie. Guests are treated poorly, and I was even threatened with the police simply for taking a few extra minutes to leave my room. The culture here feels arrogant and elitist, with staff acting as though they are above the guests rather than here to provide hospitality. It's disappointing because the property itself has potential, but the treatment of guests completely ruins the experience.

The Salon still felt special, elegant, and beautifully executed, with the same polished service and attention to detail you would expect from Per Se. I came solo, and honestly one of the highlights was realizing that solo fine dining means getting the entire dessert spread to myself. The meal started with thoughtful small bites, followed by beautifully plated courses like the signature creamy/caviar dish, perfectly cooked poultry, and an incredibly rich meat course. Everything was refined, balanced, and very classic in the best way. I also loved their no/low-alcohol drink menu. I ordered the Il Lagotto mocktail with honey, quinine, and white truffle -- very unique and memorable. The wine and spirits collection was also seriously impressive, even just to look at. The dessert service was such a fun ending: multiple small desserts, mignardises, chocolates, and even a little candle moment. It made the solo experience feel surprisingly celebratory. The Salon seating is a great way to experience Per Se at a more approachable price point while still enjoying the atmosphere, service, and signature details. Definitely a memorable NYC fine dining experience.

We haven't been back since our disappointing experience last time but decided to give it a try…read moreagain and we also took our 2 kids (age 10 and 8) there this time for their winter restaurant week. Their restaurant week menu was one of the most affordable and worth going for in the city, it was $60 for a 3 course meal and I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion that was given. We were also given 4 choices to choose from for the 1st and 2nd course while some may have additional supplemental costs. I opted for the Maine scallops as my first course and the scallops were big, aromatic, and cooked to perfection. The acid from the orange reduction helped lightened the dish making it the perfect starter course. My son ordered the cured hamachi and even though it didn't work out very well last time I had that dish, I noticed a subtle difference this time and the citrus broth was much more flavorful this time. My daughter ordered their heirloom beet salad which is beautifully plated. It was almost too pretty to eat. The beets were fresh and it was delicious when paired with the creamy Burrata. I think I loved the beet salad the most and would definitely order it again. I ordered the pork tenderloin for my second course. The meat was tender, juice, and cooked to a perfect medium which is how I like it. However, I did find the sauce a little too salty when eaten alone but was perfect when eaten with the apple as the acid helped balance out the saltiness. I just wish there's 1 more slice of apple instead of one. My kids ordered their salmon which both of them enjoyed very much. The salmon was moist, tender, buttery but I just wish the skin was crispier. To my surprise, both of them said the highlight was the broccolini which unfortunately I didn't get to try because both of them devoured everything before I got to it. For the dessert, I ordered the hazelnut mousse tarte. Their desserts were always well executed and this is no exception. I really enjoyed the combination of flavors and balance of textures. The hazelnut's richness was balanced out by the bergamot creme and vice versa so it wasn't too sweet or too sour. The tarte itself was crunchy and flaky, which I enjoyed eating against the mushy mousse. We also received much better service this time. Our servers took their time to explain each dish to us and they were definitely more attentive compared to last time. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience this time and am glad they've improved which the last time we went. It is very children friendly so we would definitely be back with our kids soon.

There were too many dishes to name individually but here are some thoughts: --presentation was spot on! Gorgeous plates. --I ate the first anchovy I've ever liked here in an amuse. Bravo! --my favorites were the raw tuna rolls, the zucchini velute pasta, the seafood ravioli, and the filet. The husband loved the crispy egg dish, the tuna, and the filet. --my duck was very very chewy and difficult to cut and eat --the halibut was perfectly cooked --the desserts were phenomenal and my husband especially loved the caramel dessert with an espresso martini on the side Overall a fun meal!
